Memes, as the collective morals, traditions, ideals, of a group are always an intervention upon genetically evolved dispositions.
Memes sublimate, subdue, submerge, genetically programmed automatic activities.
A meme in perfect agreement with nature would never advance to any complex form of civilization, because nature would re-balance the organism to its environment, not permitting it to dominate and to spread, as humanity has.
For example, monogamy is a necessary human imposition upon a species sexual behavior that would inhibit the cooperative integration of males into an increasingly complex social system.
Marriage, and its monogamy underpinning, is a human intervention, a memetic sublimation of a genetic disposition to promiscuity.
Technologies, such as contraceptives add to this intervention decreasing the natural restriction imposed upon feminine promiscuity, and as a consequence that of the male.
Harmony with nature, is, therefore, a matter of degree, describing an alignment between genes, evolved in more austere, demanding environments, and memes, creating manmade environments, some of which are characterized by artificially produced and maintained superfluity.

Nihilism describes memes that are in extreme misalignment with genetically evolved environments and organic dispositions emerging out of them. They are an exaggerated contradiction and rejection of past, producing exaggerated benefits and the costs that come with them.
Pollution, bot material and genetic, is a byproduct of this extreme intervention upon natural processes.
Increasing levels of obesity is another symptom of a misalignment between meme and gene.
Genes evolved in more austere environments are placed in artificially produced abundance. The genetic proclivity to consume sugars and fats, becomes threatening to the individual when it is placed in environments of nutritional abundance.
The curbing of culling, as a natural method of weeding out unfit individuals, returns to the genetic pool genetic configurations that have proven unable to survive without subsequent extreme interventions, sheltering them from nature's methods.
The advent of venereal diseases is a byproduct of rampant promiscuity, no longer limited naturally, by female impregnation.
With pregnancy out of the way the individual becomes convinced intercourse evolved for pleasure, or for bonding, making homosexual intercourse no different than heterosexual intercourse.
Behavior evolved in more demanding environments, imposing its own high costs, and natural limitations, has now become a source of degeneracy and genetic degradation.
Memetic interventions so misaligned with genetic naturally evolved dispositions/behaviors, that the behaviors become detrimental to the individual, and to the species they propagated.

Beginning with a simple memetic intervention imposing the monogamy rule, we are gradually introduced to a variety of collateral effects.
The benefits of complex human systems, is now accumulating the byproducts of its necessary, for its maintenance, interventions, just as it is accumulating garbage as byproduct of its artificially maintained superfluity, just as it is accumulating diseases as a byproduct of its artificially maintained longevity, and its sheltering of weakness from natural culling processes.

Difference between living, organic, unities, and non-living congruities:

Non-living
Patterned or non-patterned (inter)actions, require no consciousness as a mechanism of forming stable or unstable congruities. Simple trial error where cost/benefit is replaced by loss/gain, uses attraction/repulsion as a expression of harmony/disharmony between patterns to accumulate, or to discharge or implode, over time.
A pattern need not know anything, be ware of anything....it simply IS.
As a vibration oscillates, its range of oscillation covering space - possibility, as its probability curve, at a particular rhythm which distinguishes it from all other patterns.
This rhythms and range of oscillation is its dynamic pattern, which is more or less in tune, in harmony with another pattern, and always in conflict with non-patterned vibrations.  
We can think of this 'vibration' as Energy, and distinguish it from energy/matter, of order, by capitalizing it.  
Energy/Matter are patterns vibrating faster or slower in relation to the observing, conscious mind and its organic metabolic rates...not to be confused with Energy as another term for vibration, pattern, which may lack a pattern, may be random Energy, vibrating in an inconsistent, unpredictable, non-repetitive way: its range of oscillation and its rhythm being entirely random - chaotic.

Living  
Always patterned unities, interacting with other patterns or non-patterned energies where iteration produces a self-sustaining reaction to the friction of (inter)activity, and its continuous losses.
Loss/gain is replaced by cost/benefit to the preservation of a congruity we can now call unity to differentiate it from non-living, coincidental, ephemeral stable or non-stable congruities.  
On a rudimentary level, such that of a cell, or a plant, cost/benefit determines behavior, stored as experienced memory - DNA.
Memory is the defining trait distinguishing the living from the non-living, and the higher from the lower = nobility or know thyself are essential in knowing past, and preserving it as memory, tradition.
Only an organic unity can be called 'self', an 'ego' for this reason alone, and only life can will, or be motivated, moved, by a goal, an objective. On a primal level that motive is always self-preservation, survival, developing, in time, the ability to sacrifice self for the sake of another self, or a higher Self, or an abstraction as an identify, an identifier.  
Memory is the connection of causal chains constructing the "I", of self-consciousness.
An animal, lacking self-consciousness, has no  memory beyond its experiences, from birth onward, if that.
A plant has no memory stored as experience, because it has no nervous system comparable to that of mammals, or fish etc. but only memory passed on, genetically, as the sum of past experiences reacted to, and accumulated as cost/benefit that then informs behavior.
A plan'ts reactivity is regional. Every cells reacting to stimuli separate from the unity, and only affecting the cells in its immediate vicinity - those it has contact with, and can (inter)act with.
this creates an automatic, cascading effect of reactivity to external stimuli.
Higher organisms have that and a central nervous system to transmit regional stimuli and stimuli at a distance, foreseeable stimulants, using senses like vision and hearing, and scent, via the medium of light and air.
This foreseeing is another trait that distinguishes higher from lower organic life.
It places cascading externally - sound produces when a phenomenon interacts with air, which then cascades across long distances to affect the organism's sensory cells, which then converts them to neural energy the body can transmit within the organic body, perhaps to a brain where it is processed and then reacted to as action, with a further transmission, via the nervous system, producing activity, movement in accordance to a trial/error established method - stored as genetic memory - of (re)activity - behavior.
(Re)Activity to (Inter)Activity, directed by past experiences, accumulated cost/benefits, or by accumulated memory, is what we call consciousness, awareness.

Symbols/words - Language - is how memories (experiences/knowledge) is transmitted externally, from nervous system, to nervous system.
Vocalizations, ritualized actions/movements, scent, are rudimentary ways of transmitting memories...vocalizations, gestures, using constructed rhythms to transmit memories (data, information, knowledge, awareness), are an evolved adaptation that promotes reactive efficiency and effectiveness.

In organisms with a brain, processing hub of the nervous system, stimuli are translated into neural pulses to be transmitted to the brain via the nervous system.
Brain interprets them as imagery, feeling, and in more sophisticated brains into emotions abstractions, evaluations, producing judgments, discrimination, and in more sophisticated brains into concepts, idea(l)s.
Brain then inverts the process, via the nervous system, to produce actions, or reactions, in more sophisticated brains producing projected potentials, evaluation of possibilities/probabilities, meaning, predictions, and in more sophisticated brains negations, unrealized synthesis, imaginary combinations, projected as possibility/probability.

Will = the mind's projection of probability, producing actions, or abstractions yet to be realized, theories.
mind cannot will anything into existence, without animating the body.
The Will's judgments, evaluation, remain theoretical, abstract, probabilities, if the abstraction does not motivate the body via the nervous system...and then the consequences are not guaranteed.
Application of a judgment is not an automatic success, nor is it an automatic failure.
Cost/Benefit to the organism, in relation to the intention, the objective, within an indifferent world/reality, when no external force mitigates, is what determines the quality of the abstraction, idea(l), judgment.
A judgment, thought, evaluation, abstraction, not applied externally, remains "perfect" in reference to itself, and its established suppositions - internally consistent, logical.
All external phenomena are integrated into its untested 'perfection', by selective interpretation, denial, emotional corruption, ego = noetic manifestations of the mind's sovereignty over the body.

Cost/Benefits do not need mental acknowledgment. the mind/nervous system/body triad suffers or enjoys them whether the mind appreciates and/or acknowledges them, becomes conscious of them, or not.  
Cost/Benefits can be so subtle that they are not perceived by mind until they accumulate to a level that its acuity can perceive them as obvious.

This brief and simple model implies that we all begin from the "middle", is, in fact Bottom<>Up thinking places the 'bottom' in what is the middle-world, as Dawkins called it, between the idealistic and the metaphysical realm.
I call this 'bottom, or middle, the physical, and the movement 'up' as the movement towards the ideal and towards the metaphysical, one as a objective, orientation, a goal, and the other as a foundation, informing the physical, just as the foundations of a house determine the structure that will be built on top of it.
What this implies is that any error in the metaphysical any disharmonious with the physical, will result in a crooked, or an unstable structure, and it most certainly result in a misalignment making the idea(l) impossible.

Therefore, the physical, the sensually perceived, the empirical, directs us to dig a foundation, and then this foundation solidifies the structure by placing it firmly within the earth - it connects it to the earth.
This foundation/structure edifice then determines the kinds of idea(l)s we will create and aim for.
If foundation is misaligned with structure, then the idea(l) will be off.

A single small error in measurement, in judgment, risks the entire edifice and the corruption of the idea(l).

The metaphysical must be in perfect alignment with the physical, and the physical placed on-top of the earth, in relation to environment, in harmony with and from here, from this structure we can direct our minds upwards, outwards towards our idea(l)s that must align with both.
Physical informs the construction of the metaphysical, which in turn helps us align the physical to the ground, and then determines the kind of idea(l), its realism, we aspire towards.
if any of the three is not aligned, or contradicts the other two, then there is an error.

The standard is always the environment, the earth, metaphorically...the world as it is.
The entire structure is evaluated in relation to this pre-existing natural order.

For someone who has dedicated time and effort in any part of the building structure, the idea of tearing it all down and starting over to build it properly, is too demanding an idea to consider.
He begins to change his standard of measuring so as to accommodate the misalignment he constructed.
He may try to question the very idea of alignment, to excuse the crooked structure he build.
He may try to sabotage all constructions to make them as crooked as his own.
He may prefer to keep the structure, the model of a house, in his head, where it can never be tested in the real world; where it remains perfect, and he can rearrange it at will.

But as time goes by and the more investment in time and energy he's given to it, the more reluctant he is to start over, especially when he purchased the structure already build, and failed to see the structural issues. His foolishness needs to be hidden.
Not wanting to show how gullible he was, buying a structure that was crooked when it was sold to him, he attempts to discredit all structures as being imperfect, to excuse his stupidity.  
This is what happens with philosophies and symbols/words being used to construct them.

Many people prefer to live a lifetime in a shack, than to admit they were tricked into buying a defective structure...and some prefer to live outside a house altogether, so that they will never be tricked.
Both need another to build the structure because they lack the tools, the talent, and the will to do so on their own. so they purchase a structure, or they refuse to purchase one, living in the streets, like bums.

In the contexts of symbols/words, semiotics, we begin on the middle-plane, the physical, connecting as many symbols/words to sensually perceptible phenomena - that which appears.
A phenomenon can be one, or more pattern, interacting.  
Words like 'love', 'humanity', 'morality', 'male/female', 'race' are easiest, because the behaviors, interactions they refer to we can cross-reference with other social species.

Then we proceed to the metaphysical level, down into the earth, into the past, and the not perceptible - not immediately apparent.
We connect as many symbols/words as we can to concepts - ideas.
These ideas must be in harmony, in agreement, with the words we used before.
The metaphysical symbols/words supporting the physically connected symbols/words.
If there is any misalignment, any contradictions, we must make sure to adjust our definitions, and our understanding of them, to align them.
The error is ours, not the worlds.

Then, finally, we proceed to the purely idealistic, the projection into the future, the divine, the yet-to-be - ideal.
Ideals as inspiration, orientation, or as goal - objective.
again, the ideals must be in harmony, in alignment, in agreement, with the physical and, as a consequence, with the metaphysical.
The ideal must be supported by both.
Again...If there is any misalignment, any contradictions, we must make sure to adjust our definitions, and our understanding of them, to align them.
The error is ours, not the worlds.

What symbols/words are left, are nonsense.
They are noetic constructs, abstractions, which we, or someone else, from where you received them, connected, recombined into abstractions, in any manner they found pleasing, or that satisfied an internal need/desire.
These symbols/words are fantasy.
they refer top nothing other than back to our own mind, or the mind of the one who fabricated them, and/or passed them on to us.
They refer to nothing outside our mind.


This is how you immunize yourself from the memetic virus, the noetic parasite of Nihilism.
a process that is not easy, not only because of the meticulous work involved, but also because of the emotional turmoil it will produce when once appealing, positive, optimistic, symbols/words are demystified, or even corrected, clarified, and exposed as being more negative, and the reverse, once negative, pessimistic symbols/words can be clarified, can be revealed, to be positive.
If nothing else, it will make you immune to simple ploys by simpleton charlatans, manipulating symbols/words to exploit ignorance, and to trigger emotions.
More sophisticated liars will require more talent, and experience.

Gene = inherited potentials.
What is important are the upper limit of these potentials.

How a populates relates - (inter)acts - with the environment it evolves within (dasein = thrown in), determines its relationship with said environment, and by extension the world.
World not meaning humanity, or human societies, but the entirety of cosmic environments of which the smaller one is but a part of the larger environment.
like the earth as an environment is part of a cosmic environment that includes many variations but that all follow some laws, we call natural laws.
So, human laws describe patterns within the interactive patterns of phenomena we call appearances.

That aside....the particular genetic population relates to the environment that it emerges and evolves within establishing a method of surviving within it.
we call these types 'species'.
One known species can also develop form this relationship an externalization of this internal, psychological, subjective,, noetic, relationship....and project it outward as symbols (language) that can then evolve into ethical rules of social conduct, into habitual methods of interacting with the environment we call traditions, into social rules governing behaviour.
We call these memes.

The meme, therefore, is directly linked to how a specific genetic type relates to a specific environment.
But because the earth is a contained ecosystem, and life on this planet evolved from common roots, some commonality will be found in all memes.
It's in the nuances, the subtle differences where the differences can be appreciated.

If we keep in mind what I said before as genetics being potential, then the upper limit of a genetic populations potential will manifest as a particular culture, of a particular sophistication.

And, as a chimpanzee cannot be integrated into homo sapient cultures, but a homo sapient can integrate itself into a chimpanzee social hierarchy, we can call a less sophisticated, or proto-culture, we can conclude that a meme born from a higher in genetic potential population will adapt to a lesser meme, but the individuals belonging to the lesser meme cannot integrate into a meme that is more sophisticated, more complex.
The fact that Europeans can more easily adapt to African cultures does not mean Africans can adapt to European cultures.
A human can imitate a chimpanzee, and do so convincingly, to the chimpanzee, but a chimpanzee's imitation of a human will be ridiculous to a human, and because the chimpanzee does not have the genetic potential of the human it can never understand nor integrate itself into human social systems.

Genetic combinations are selected naturally by the conflict between them in relation to the world encompassing them, and out of which they emerge as a re-actively.
(Inter)Action between patterns, progresses to (inter)action between clusters of patterns (congruities), which then develop an additional (inter)inaction between living congruities, or unities.

A congruity has no motive, no will. It is an ephemeral state of balance, where the attractive force (harmony) exceed the repulsive force (disharmony) in relation to all other patterns and congruities - including non-patterned energies (chaotic, random).

Genetic unities conflict, and then compete, and this produces attrition that carves away extraneous elements and leaves only what is more balanced - efficiency.
We call this natural selection.
Memetics works in exactly the same way. Memes compete and conflict, shaping them, and weeding away unfit ones in relation to world, or environment.

But there is a case where the central meme may intervene to protect one or all competing memes for its own internal stability.
This can only be necessary when the central meme is attempting to stabilize an organism such as man, with his more advanced mind and more lucid wilfulness.
The central tenets of the controlling meme is never questioned - challenged conflicted with.
Participating within its protective umbrella all other memes are permitted the illusion of expression, and are reduced to equal, yet competing, status.
To reach this level of sophistication the controlling meme had to pass through some crucial developments in psychology and husbandry.
For example, the discovery that a happy cow was a more productive cow enabled farmers to create the illusion of freedom, for bovines, so as to garner more milk, and/or meat from his herd.
Instead of force, coercion, it was discovered that you can use seduction, and linguistic manipulation to create, for humans, the illusion of freedom and happiness - or the free pursue of happiness.
It was also discovered, in time, that the majority want to be convinced if you offer them a lie appropriate for their maturity to accept as plausible.
The human spirit cannot cope with existence for long. It needs something to comfort it.
A glaring lie, like Christianity, was not something more educated herds could accept as 'good enough', so a more intricate lie had to be manufactured - the democratic lie.
advancement in self-knowledge, or what we call psychology, gave insights into the human mind that could be applied in marketing, propaganda, and integrating populations as wilful participants in their own deceit.

Imagine a method where the incarcerated builds the cells of his own prison, and is allowed to stroll from cell to cell, as if he were, indeed free.
Imagine how convinced he would be because he built his own prison and it was not openly imposed upon him.

This method functions as a reduction of repulsion from the participants in a memetic unity.
Similar to how cells were integrated into the organic body by gradually reducing their Independence and shaping them to become specialized - focused in their (inter)activities.
Internal conflict, competition could not be completely eliminated but it could be adjusted and reduced to a point where attraction exceeded repulsion to the point where relative unity was achieved.
The more the individual (cells) could be adjusted to be in harmony with other cells the more the organism could become stable.
Of course the factor of an external world in flux could not be eliminated, forcing constant adaptation, and manifesting as dis-ease.
Natural selection dealt with this in a very cruel way.
It sacrificed organisms that were born with inferior combination of patterns to the ones that were born with superior combinations of patterns.
Genetic mutations were selected, using conflict/competition, and either included or excluded.
This is what occurs with memetic mutations.
If we are to rename the meme a culture (civilization being its highest expression), then competition, conflict between cultures is akin to competition between organisms.
Similar to organisms a culture is born out of the combination of two, or more, other cultures, grows, becomes young, if it is fit, reproduces by interacting with and/or absorbing other cultures, and then grows old and dies, its parts consumed/absorbed by the cultures left behind.
Like organisms, made up of genetic memories, cultures, made of memetic memories, also suffer dis-eases, viral infections, parasites.

If we adjust our thinking to conceptualize a culture as a Super-organism, no different than a organism, but only in that the super-organism emerges out of organic processes, and is the externalization of what the organism knows of these internal processes - a projection, outward of what it knows and understands of its inward processes.
We call this technology/technique.
To achieve this externalization the organism must develop a method of re-converting data back into a different medium - art.
Language is an art....and math is a language.
Through language the understanding of genetics, of itself, externalizes this knowledge.

So, genes are the codification into bio-energy of experiences, stores as DNA, and memes are the re-codification into a different medium, through the nervous-system (brain).
Memes then follow the same process of conflict and competition with other memes.
But, internally, they must stabilize their parts, the cells participating in their organization - human individuals.
To accomplish this natural inclinations must be repressed or sublimated. a difficult task when dealing with an organism, such as man, that has already evolved beyond simple automatic reactivity and can question itself, and its place within the world - self-awareness.
This is particularly crucial when evolution of memes force the integration of heterogeneous populations into a stable whole.
A series technological and technical advancements in domestication and organization have to be present for this to be plausible.
It's different to want to keep a herd of bovines content, for them to produce the maximum you need, and different to keep a herd of humans content, for the same reasons.
Nihilism is the mental virus necessary for internal stability to be established in a heterogeneous herd.
The task would be an difficult as keeping peace and contentment in an enclosure populated by different species.
A technique that could placate natural inclinations would be essential.

This technique, in humans, must involve narcotics, entertainment, and psychological manipulation.
Dumbing-Down, training the mind to think within prescribed limits (political correctness), training the mind to feel ashamed of its own nature, not trust its own senses, hate itself, think of ego as a vice etc, is what Nihilism is all about.
A meme that deals with naturally evolved organic processes to gradually reinvent the species - social engineering.

Nihilism shows a naivete concerning human nature because its ideal human does not exist - yet.
It is trying to create its ideal human, step by step.
It's the process of integrating a cell, a separate organism, into the organism.
The cell has little in common with the original independent organism - unicellular.
It is now unable to exist outside the organic unity.

Different organism develop different methods of survival, in relation to competing organisms.
Same holds true for Super-Organisms - cultures.
Some develop into herbivores, others into carnivores and others into omnivores.
The organisms psychology is shaped by its survival strategy, as it does with super-organisms.
Each culture has its own idea(l), directing its psychology, imposing ti over the individuals participating within it.
Nihilism suppresses and sublimates organic tendencies so as to integrate into its members the central ideal, the guiding principle.

A meme can be a parasite that can become part of a Super-Organism...symbiosis.
Like the bacteria in out stomach helping us digest food.

Example: Judaism was the antithesis to Hellenism - Rome.
It morphed, was remade, evolved, into a form that could be integrated as a useful parasite - Christianity.

Genes = memories, constructed when organism (inter)acts with environment, including other organisms.
They are linked in chains - temporal succession (helix). This establishes their position in the chain - causality (linear time). The position of the memory, encoded as DNA, determines its effect upon the manifestation of a unity - organism.
Not only its position, due to temporal sequence of events, but also the reaction to events, determines the essence of the organism, and slight modifications determine the organisms personality, its behavioural patterns.
That they exist means the (inter)action was successful, or the cost/benefit balance was towards the benefit, or at least not too costly as to destroy the chain.
Beneficial methods are promoted through continuous usage (path-of-least-resistance), and costly methods are left unused and they slowly atrophy and become inert.
An organism may wilfully choose a more costly method to outperform competitors, or it increases risks to shorten time-space requirements for the attainment of a objective.
For this reason wilful choices taking chances is idolized in organisms with a degree of self-awareness.

Genetic memories are translated into bio-energies, and stored in sequences - passed on to later generations.
Organism (unity of patterns with a particular attraction/repulsion signature), interacts with environment, and with every interaction gains experience, which it stores, via a medium (air, light) as bio-code.  
It interprets world - converts the phenomena into noumena.

Memes = the projection outward of established genetic codes, or memories/experiences.
Externalization of the internal, as the organism knows and understands itself - Know Thyself.
Technologies/techniques are these externalizations of organic self-knowledge.

The process follows an opposite methodology form the one described.
Stored memories are converted to neural energies, actions, and externalized back into reality, as phenomena, using another medium - stone, metal, plastic, wood etc.
We also call this art.
Genetic code is translated into language, or symbols, to be externalized.
Sensual stimuli is converted to bio-code and stored as memory, and then via language it is retracted into a code that can be externalized.
The more fluid mediums of air and light are replaced by more solid mediums, imitating the organism's physicality.  
The definition of Energy/Matter ought to be kept in mind, as they refer to different rates of (inter)activity, in relation to the organisms metabolic rates.  

Nihilism, as a mental dis-ease, as neurological virus/parasite,, hijacks this process where memories are translated back into linguistic code. These manifest as an externalization that has no reference to anything real but is abstract, or surreal, or remains linguistic, stuck in that form.
Why is Nihilism so seductive to the average mind?
Because it offers the illusion that it can will the alteration of reality, and replace it with noetic constructs - with theories.
The indifferent, uncertain magnitude of the existent is replaced with an encompassing reason, motive - a linguistic womb within which the mind can revert to an infant state - crawl back into its mother's body as a father's sperm....that need not be re-born.

Genes are an expression of a relationship between organisms and environment.
It is a dialogue between ordering, becoming, and cosmic flux, manifested as planetary ecosystem - a relatively enclosed, isolated, system evolving internally referential relationships.
Life on earth, finds self in relation to other life on earth.
Memes are the extension of this relationship, or the protraction of this meme, once it comes in contact with environment.

Positive relationships, extends, moves toward (exoteric), the unknown; negative relationships, retracts, turns away (esotric), the known.    
The negative can manufacture, in isolation, a positive/negative dichotomy.
It can develop a positive/negative attitude towards self, in relation to its shared negativity towards what is not self.
An extreme can be reached only under certain protective conditions.
Sheltering can isolate self internally, as there is no outside that can intrude, due to an intervening protector. Within this isolation a alternate reality can be fabricated.

The reasons why an entity can choose to intervene and acts as sheltering protector vary.
In the case of nihilism, it is to exploit the host organism, by disconnecting it from reality, and modifying its behaviour.

A parent protects the child to enable it to mature, before it can face an indifferent, threatening, unknown world.
Shares genes constitute the protected child an extension of self.
Homogeneous systems act as parents.

A farmer protects his flock of sheep to breed them for docility, and production.
Difference in genes constitute the protected member of a flock a source of resources.
Heterogeneous systems act as farmers of domesticated herds.

What precedes both memes and genes?

1.
World.
Metaphysics deals with this part - order/disorder, interactivity, patterns etc.

2.
Out of world genes emerge - life.
Physics deals with this relationship.
Interpretation and Interpreted - subjective/objective.

3.
Out of genes memes emerge.
Idealism deals with this relationship.

Some words and symbols apply to the first, others to the second and others to the third.
Mixing and mingling produces confusion.
Confusion may be intentional, as part of the third motive.

We can metaphorically apply words that belong to one group to describe things in the other as a way to accentuate and differentiate, or as a way to imply the relationship across all three categories.
But to take this allegorical, metaphorical method as literal, is to attempt to obscure and to manipulate those who are less aware of the distinctions, beginning with the self.

From the perspective of time, rather than matter/energy, there are some factors to consider.

First, we experience what we call 'world' with a lag, equal to the duration of time/space required for us to collect and process stimulation (interactions).
Therefore, as Heidegger pointed out, we are always looking back, and the depth/shallowness of our perspective is contained within, what I mention before, our perceive and processing speed, determined by the medium, perceptual acuity, sophistication, and genetics determining metabolic rates, and our memories, and how far back we can go without corrupting the data collected.
Honesty, courage, integrity are added to intelligence as factors that may warp this process.

This noetic box fading outward and inward is what I called perceptual-event-horizon.
So, you have to imagine the world as a falling away, as we continuously look back.
Past is accumulating, and we can never be entirely in the moment.
Past is stored in our DNA (know thyself) manifesting as presence which appears to us aesthetically; present is immediate past which we are unable to be in because of the necessity our biology, our becoming, imposes upon us, in regards to data collection and processing.
Modernity opts to be entirely in the 'present', and to deny the past - both what preceded our birth (stored as genes), and past that we must 'overcome', stored as memory.
Their idea(l) man, citizen, is a shallow shell - with no substance, but with endless energies to continuously act, converting the immediate into an identity.
Such a creature would be continuously reinventing itself according to the continuous stream of data it is receiving and adopting.
I call this Modern, because such a 'man' would be always renewed, updated, with no past to anchor him; he would be like a kite that has severed its tie to the ground, to earth, floating on the air currents, destined to crash. The system provides this flow of hot air that lifts him up.
There is a certain charm to this type. It resembles the condition of lesser organisms (animals) that have no depth of memory to inhibit their immediate past. They live closest to the present - are present, to a degree man, or most men, cannot be.
This is Modern man's idea(l): to be, like animals, oblivious to the past (including their own DNA), and to give themselves over to the immediate.
Animals, of course, are also manifestations of past, and they have no ability to Know Thyself, to a degree that would affect their behaviour in the present.
Their perceptual-event-horizon fades out at a shorter time/space, so they are closer to the fleeting moment.

So, we are looking back at the world after-the-fact - our automated processes having already reacted to interactions.
What we perceive as appearance is the manifestation of interacting Energies, we perceive in hindsight.

Secondly, chaos, randomness, cannot merge into stable unities due to its radical inconsistency.
It interacts with patterns that can produce ephemeral balanced unities or congruities.
What this means is that the organism cannot perceive randomness directly but only through its effect on order, and only after-the-fact.
When we perceive a phenomenon we interpret it, integrating its order into abstractions.
But we can only perceive order, chaos having already participated in the outcome - in the apparent.
We perceive the consequences of patterned and non-patterned Energies (inter)acting.
This is what is called the phenomenon, the apparent.

Chaos makes itself noticed through order, by its corrupting effect on it.
It becomes apparent in the world's unpredictability, no matter how many patterns within the patterns we discover to call Laws of Nature.
We are always witnessing, through order, what has already occurred, so we think it was inevitable.
We conclude that all is order, because random forces become apparent to us through their effect on patterns which we can only perceive after-the-fact.
Without this randomness consciousness would be superfluous, and the Abrahamic vision of existence being a divine testing ground of our will, would be true.
There would be no real choice, because all choices would be determined, and the Matrix's message would hold...

They offer a solution to the question of why the system never finalizes into a singularity.  
The movie calls it an 'anomaly', and explains it using the usually modernistic myths of 'humanity' and the irrationality, the wonderful madness of 'love'.
But love only seems so to those who have mystified it - intentionally buried it in idealistic superstition.
But these trigger emotional responses and are not rational explanations as to why, despite perfect order, the world is need/suffering.
Human 'free-will' is presented as a product of emotional irrationality - madness.

Or it is presented as a mystical force, named 'humanity', aligning itself with Abrahamic lore.

Nihilism expressed perfectly.
The scene comes with its own pit - hole of metaphysical, linguistic, entrapment.
The response is open-ended, permitting any subjective interpretation - a non-response response.
It leaves an open-ended answer, because 'why' is a human question only the individual can answer.
The individual gives his own existence meaning, but not through fantasy - not through the detachment of imagination from reality.
He must base in, ground it, on the earth - he must build it upon reality.  

Choice's madness is erotic - love.
A bonding, reproductive mechanism raised to the status of divinity.
Humanity = God.
A non-answer...echoing Will to Power's central theme, of will. "I choose to" means "I will".
But, to choose not to choose, or to not have to make a choice, is not an option.
Because 'thrown into the world', as Heidegger put it (Dasein), we have choice, and we care.
Choosing to not choose, as Rush sings, is a choice in itself.  
But how can we have choice if all is determined, and all is ordered?
Even our choices have already been determined and we can only be spectators to our own existence.

This is not the case only because of chaos.

"Love" seems like a trivial response to a profound mystery. Romantic idealism sells...among girls and men-children.
If we take away the 'love', alluding to Abrahamic mono-deities, we are left with the source of human free-will, and the choices it forces upon the individual -  Not chaos as complexity, alluding to occult order, accessible only to the chosen few (hierarchy of dim-witted superstitions, craving love, power, coveting an idol's effect, minus the price)....but chaos properly understood as randomness, connecting us to both an exhilarating and terrifying truth.  
What 'spoils' the harmony of systemic order, is not the "anomaly" of human free-will, because this could also be part of the system's programming, but randomness that cannot be integrated into any form of order - and can only force order to be constantly order-ing - agon.  

Chaos sets-up the antagonism of organism with what is so alien to it that it can only be depicted as a monstrosity, an evilness lurking underneath all phenomena.
For an organism, ordering, a terrifying concept.  
The Aryan idea the Hellenes expressed through their gods was this shared struggle against chaos - man and the divine are the forces of order, struggling against chaos.  
Man is not god, he is god emerging - he is a part of the divine (order) in continuous conflict with the forces of irrational, unreasonable, chaos.
The idea of hoimoi, and not idoioi - similar, not same.
Human as god's homoios (Όμοιος), not idios (Ίδιος).
It's interesting that 'idios' is the root for private citizen (Ιδιώτης), and in English the root for 'idiot'.  

By mystifying the concept of 'love' Moderns can then delude themselves that they've given a response to a profound mystery, just as they do with all words they feel vulnerable towards its possible implications.
Mystification clouds the concept so that mists mix and mingle shapes - forms synthesize in the shadows where the individual can fill-in the unknown with his own preferences.  
A very Democratic mythology.

But 'meaning' is not a human creation.
It is a human interpretation of world, in relation to self.
World is (inter)activity, and man either perceives this correctly or does not - ion either case it is he who suffers the costs as it is he who enjoys the benefits.
Meaning is man discovering how phenomena manifested - delving into what preceded what appeared.
It is a discovery of inter-relations, through time/space.    

Meaning = the perceived relationships between phenomena.  
A matrix of inter-relations indicating (inter)activity - causal chains strung into continuums - translated by an organism with memory.
Memory is to re-collect patterns - re-order.

Inanimate matter/energy has no memory - it simply (inter)acts as pattern.
It is more or less in harmony - repelling/attracting other patterns but also randomness.

Accountability is tied into this idea of man choosing and with his choice reacting to chaos and determining all future events.
Without chaos as randomness there is no personal reprehensibility for any choice and any action.
it's at base of Abrahmic paradox concerning God as singular Creator and man held accountable to what he was made to be.
A cruel circular joke, making Christian free-will a expression of divine sadism.

The paradox is linguistically founded and is abolished by chaos, defined as randomness....no evil spirit, no Devil required. Nobody else to blame but you, as an individual ordering within the cosmic flux.

Memetic conflicts or disagreements are resolved genetically.
Cultures clash, ideas clash and they clash within world.
Organisms, genetics, and their products, ideologies, perspectives, confront one another.
The outcome is decided in the world, in other words the outcome is determined by their performance in world.
There is no ambiguity in natural selection.
Not all perspectives are equal and equally valid.
If not mitigating force, like an institution, does not intervene there is no debate.
Superior and inferior is determined by world - by nature.

The European memes dominated because they were superior.
Europeans had a superior understanding or perspective of world.
This is why it is presently under attack by the slavish hordes....and the eternal victims.
