The most diehard zappa fans I know listen to the same bands as I do...I listen many different genres from a different perspective, I can't take these kind of "insults" personally. My lifting has nothing to do with my musical tastes (they developed before this) and lifting weights doesn't cure feminism judging by the people I've met who lift more than I do.
I do not identify with people IRL just because they listen to the same music or do same sports and I do not feel elevated by insulting other peoples tastes in music, these things don't matter. I just like the tragic music and the hardened outlook/mindset in a musical form.
I enjoy pushing my limits in sports, but yet I can't get along with mostly one-dimensional athletes.
