Open markets - the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I lived in a country which borders were hermetic barriers until 1989. Every single item available on the market was produced within the state by citizens for citizens. Free education, free health services, and there was no such thing as copyrights.

Just to give an example: when Metallica's 'Master of Puppets' came out in '86, the entire album was played on the most popular national radio channels.

This was nothing new. Everyday around 9pm you could just tune in and you'd here something like:
"Good evening, ladies and gentleman. Tonight we're going to listen to the latest albums by Metallica, Possessed, Scorpions, Death and Modern Talking."

Computer programs were for free, and a national radio station was used as a file sharing host, so everything what you had to do was to record the signal, and the latest programs were available for you free of charge. This was our Internet before the Internet was invented.

But here's the thing. Many people like to travel and spend holidays in other countries. And if you'd like to import for instance tropical fruits, you have to give a pile of blink to the supplier.

So, here's the question - how can we pay for tropical fruits if we don't produce blink, and the seller has not interest in what we produce because the only thing he accepts is blink?

Satyr says: Open markets, to compensate for closed minds.
To compensate for genetic inferiority, so as to produce parity, symbols are used: stuff, clothes, jobs, social status, make-up, surgery, imitated behavior and so on.

Money is the abstraction all this converts to.
Then it can be converted to pride, self-esteem, beauty, respect...

"how can we pay for tropical fruits if we don't produce blink, and the seller...only...accepts...blink?"

You can't (won't).

Your options...

1-Get yourself some blink (by hook or crook, if necessary).

2-Plead your case with the seller...convince him (or her) of your need...convince him (or her) of the value of your non-blink.

3-Finagle the local, regional, national, global markets to make your non-blink of value to folks like the seller, or/and, cause the seller to become desperate enough (through your covert injury to his [or her] business) to see your non-blink in a new light.

4-Make do without tropical fruits.

In my opinion, we simply have to find someone who wants to exchange blink for what we produce, and then we can import tropical fruits.

What do you mean by 'money'? Paper or electronic?

Blink is real, and it's very valuable because we use it to produce equipment that helps us to save lives.

You simply have a method to catch flies because you want to eat.

That's OK if you are healthy, have some experience and know how to find clients, but how about those who are disable? What chance do they have to get a slice?

What about people who work in hospitals, schools or build houses and roads for us? What chances do they have?

That's how Polish Nobility used to accumulate wealth. They were basically soldiers who had wives and children, but it was them who had to find ways to accumulate some blink and sponsor the army; eg. at the time they had to pay 60kgs of silver just for one horse. That's how they came up with the concept of money made of gold.

"The reason for polish nobility being of literally same blood as the peasants is simple: they ascended to power not through a conquest of foreign land, only throughout the process of social change. The fact that English nobility was foreign and imposed on local population doesn't mean that same scenario applies to the rest of Europe."

With the disabled either they have friends or family take care of them where if not let nature sort them out.

As for community public works communities should build for themselves or go without.
