Nihilist/modern Rule:
The average modern does not believe in chaos, so injecting your concepts with unwarranted complexity, implying some well-educated depth which you cannot follow-up with, will be considered, by the average Modern retard, as being a sign of complexity, rather than confusion.
Because for the Modern there is no confusion, as there is no chaos, only a deeper intricacy, a secret order, even in stupidity, and mental illness.

Unlike the usual practice of simplifying what is complex, so that it is understood by the average, displaying a deeper understanding of what is being presented, the Modern does the reverse.
(S)He masks his/her ignorance and mental chaos, in a sea of gibberish, always connecting to other minds where verification is more difficult, and only obtained through proxies.
The trick is to seed the verbal diarrhea with "positive" sounding words, or words associated with hope, love, or some modern imagery the majority has been inculcated with.

Then, let the moron use his feeble imagination to fill in the blanks with whatever bubbles up from his internal cesspool.
Classic grifter technique.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
The Modern confuses reality with utility, honesty with sociability, and so, for this degenerate, remaining a hypocrite is the highest of all values.
His cynicism plays well into this psychosis.
Majority rules, and subjectivity is all that there is, makes sure that his dis-ease is never exposed, and anyone who does so will be assaulted until silent, or ignored until forgotten.

For such a depraved miser, philosophy is another game of words.
One he quickly masters and loses interest in.
he sees lairs everywhere, because he is one.
He hears word-games everywhere because he vomits them.
He see fakes and shallowness in all, because he is producing it in himself.

Then he wonders what philosophy is good for, mistaking his mental-masturbation with an honest, search for the real.
He has mistaken philosophy for a self-help manual, and when he finds no help in it, he dismisses it as pretentious.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
When all is faked, then (s)he will be the most convincing fake out there.
He is a performer, and his performance is measured by the effect it has no the audience - the impression he leaves them with.

The real is not a reflection in the eyes of the audience; their appreciation, their acknowledgement, their belief in the act.
All becomes an act, and experience, training, is how the actor becomes good at his craft; how he becomes convincing.
Cynicism is seeing actors everywhere.
not to be fooled, not to buy into the pretense, because it's all a game, all fake, all words.
Make the most preposterous claim, expose the most intimate thing, and then play it out...go with the flow.
Feel the audience out, and adjust.
all that matters is making an impression; being noticed in the multiplicity where you disappear in a throng of nobodies.
Audacious declarations, exposing yourself in public, it's all marketing; it's all about selling a product, an image, a character.

The reward?
Seeing them buy it.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
How does one stand apart in this multiplicity where appearance is, in theory, irrelevant?
How does one get noticed among the myriads of average?
How does one stand out, in the uniformity, when the only kind of standing out is in utility, in community service?

Inflation.
Hyperbole.
Exaggeration.

If not qualitative difference, where the only kind is found in production, then quantitative.
More popular, bigger, wealthier, flashier, more audacious, more shocking and awesome, more degenerate.

Nihilist/modern Rule:
Levelling it all down to a average, uniformity is the highest pretend idea(l) the modern aspires to.
His idea(l)s are all pretentious, so this one need not be more honest.
The idea(l) is simply a defensive move,. Making sure his other inferiorities are excused, while he harbours a secret sense of superiority, and sells the lie of parity to the one he feels he has surpassed...if only in fashion.

It's all fake in his inter-subjective world of agreed disagreements.
The tension keeps him thinking he is exploring the world, as it is, when he is manoeuvring within the social cesspool of uniformity, of cultivated stupidity, trying to find the best place to settle upon.
Never too deeply, because he is always ready to move on, at a minutes notice...and call it "progress'.

The Modern is always updating his positions, sometimes totally contradiction his previous ones.
He does not consider this a symptom of poor judgment, of a simple mind easily impressed and exploited, but of an open-mindedness seeking the best self-flattering world-view out there.

He is a shopper of reality.
Trying on this, and then that, seeing in his reflection how it fits him, how it suits him, before he lets it go for another.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
When you have nothing to limit you, to contain your imagination, to limit your act, hen everything goes.
Too bad the only rule the modern must bide by is the "right" of the other to do no less.

But a negative hides a positive, and the modern finds in this limit a challenge for his creativity.

When nothing but the other remains between him and his intended effect, his faked character, then inventive ways will be discovered, loopholes exploited in the community rule-book, to exploit, and he will stand-apart in his communion, he will be distinct in his uniformity, no matter what.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
Being retarded, stunted and maintained in a perpetual state of adolescence, the modern believes that by silencing words, by killing the messenger, by forgetting what has bee spoken of, will save him from the world these words, symbols, expose him to.
Words are magical to him even if he denies the magical in his rational state.
The magical resides in crevices such as numerical symbols and words, full of shapes, denoting sounds and evoking imagery.

He is a magic user, a magic believer, a magician, though he considers himself enlightened and advanced.
His secular positions are a cover for his innate Nihilistic spirituality.
He cannot escape himself.
He is a product of degenerate genes, thrown into a world that cares not for their survival.
What has been permitted to flourish under controlled environments finds what is outside of these conditions deplorable, monstrous, EVIL.

His belief in words is granted, by the simple fact of inheritance.
They are his cleansing vehicle.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
Make sure you flatter a modern.
Make sure you allow the benefit of doubt.
Make sure you make him feel that the present are excluded from everything expressed.

He may see the ploy, and the intent, and, still, despite himself he will surrender to it, wanting to hear more, and wanting to preserve contact with ideas he rejects and has no other contact with, other than this....rare moment of indiscretion.

Then, allow him to depart, and go home to his bed and to his intimate relationships.
In the morning he would have forgotten that something happened to him, but, without wanting to, it will come up, either when awake or asleep.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
It dopes not matter how many tricks, how many distractions, how many methods the modern has been given and trained to use.
He cannot escape the world for long.

It is why he is always on the lookout for newer methods, trinkets, distractions, tricks on the market.
That momentary rush of a new acquisition offers him that desired relief, but then a new one must be discovered and purchased.
This is his "progress".

From one product to the other.
From one method to the other.
From one idea(l) to the other.

An addict of escapism.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
Have you not seen the Nihilist's inversion?
He makes what is simple seem complex, and what is complex simple.

Humanity is far too complex to analyze, constructing rational probabilities, and then race is as simple as pigmentation and hair and looks.
one complex the other simple. one race, the human race, obvious, the other races a bigoted remnant of hillbilly ignorance.
Evolution is simple, natural selection and survival of the fittest, but human judgment, human intelligence, far too complex to hypothesize over.

Have you not seen a Nihilist play with himself, asking you to play with himself too?

He makes the ill seem healthy and the healthy ill.
Stupidity is a dysfunction, but saying that it is more than that, is a dis-ease to be healed.

Have you not seen their social eugenics being sold as a return to "purity", and purity being sold as a byproduct of bad breeding?

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
now, that God is dead, to what will the degenerate imbecile modern turn to for guidance?
where will he seek counsel, to know what is right and what is wrong?

The dysfunctional using his anus as a woman would a vagina,, or a clitoris as one would use a penis, is unable to find direction.
(S)He is pleased.
With no God, the state is the only Authority.

What other standard is there to know why ears evolved and why man has hair?
None, for the Modern imbecile...none at all. he is at liberty to invent his own meanings, and purposes.
If he pays his dues and abides by the rules, he can have "free-will".

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
When you cannot deal with the content of a position, deal with its source.
While personal assault is not uncalled for, and often welcomed, the tactic of only offering a description of what you think the source of the information is all about, and only offering a projected insight of what you cannot tolerate nor deal with rationally, character assassination using innuendo, is a symptom of stupidity and cowardice.

It's one thing to attack the other personally (ad hominem) while also including a reasoned alternative to his positions, or a challenge that is rooted in understanding, and another thing to simply attack the source while providing no competing substance, and without being able to fully grasp what he is saying, and why he is saying it.
The Modern loves to accuse others of ad hom attacks and then indulges in it with no reservation when among his own kind...those who will turn a blind eye to his behaviour, because they are on his side, cheering his stupidity on, as a reflection of their own, but then, at other times, stringent about any reciprocal effect, demanding civility when their chosen hero is being intellectually raped in from of their desperate eyes.

This is where "Troll' comes in.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
The Modern is so dumb, so thick, so numb, so obtuse that his own stupidity, his own condition is a defence against any argument anything real.
No argument, no reasoning, will touch him, unless it is loud, sharp and able to pierce his thick, numb hide.
Use a sharp blade and then prepare for his complaints and accusations.
You will be a bully, the aggressor, setting him up for the victim position, because you used an instrument to cut through that thickness he is enveloped by.

Subtle surgical instruments are only good with the sensitive ones, the delicate ones, the thin skinned ones.
In a world of thickness and cultivated numbness use a sword.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
Have you not come across an idiot claiming big muscles and a bid dick as evidence of his masculinity?
have you not come across a dick using his social status or military service to pretend he is a man?
Have you not come across a woman using her tits and ass to pretend she is worth something?
Have you not come across a woman who uses the looks and complacency of sexually desperate males to pretend she is something valuable and special?

How can you not have?
These types are ubiquitous, if only found in the bathroom mirror.

Have you looked?
Have you truly, honestly, looked?

Look again.

Nihilist/Modern Rule:
Who is a Modern to blame form his condition, when there is no God, and no Devil?

Time, the world, his parents, himself?
No, never himself.
Find a scapegoat, another, one which reminds him of what he cannot escape: nature, the immutable determining past, his own genetic inheritance.
No, never self, always unburden yourself, leave back the baggage and feel light, en-lightened.
To do otherwise is to force yourself to act, to deal with it, to cope, to adapt, to compensate.
This is too difficult, and uncertain.
Path-of-least-resistance applies.
Find a target to unload on.
He, or she, will present himself at some point in time.
Someone who reminds you, who forces you to re-call - the messenger.
Blame him for your past's injustices, for your inherited weaknesses...and if he makes it obvious hate him instead of yourself.

Yes, the Modern needs another, to make himself the victim.

When he declares "all is subjective" he means the world owes him, has a duty to adapt to him and his whims.
No god means humanity must accommodate his failings, his genetic inferiority.
He has someone to blame, other than himself, either way.

He who call the world nil, because it is void of his projected absolutes (morality, telos, one, meaning, purpose, end, god) is a Nihilist.
The world that made him possible labelled negatively because it troubles him and refuses to him what he so desperately need to cope with it, is what a coward, and a dis-eased minds does.

It is precisely this absence of absolutes that makes life possible and worthwhile.

Unable to adequately separate himself form his own emotions, and self-interests, the Modern uses philosophy as he would knowledge - as insider information.

A man of the disposition that views philosophy as a tool to uncover, rather than to self-conceal, is alien to him.
He views the world politically, and always from the starting position of self.
The possibility of taking "self" away form his line of sight, to clarify what he is seeing, is incomprehensible to such a mind.

The path leads back, to a time/space where self does not appear, until much later.
It is a path back to the fundamentals, the path back to nature.
From there the voyage from genetics to memetics is overgrown with foliage, but one can discern a path through it.

One does not begin with the "world of men", but with the world, and then proceeds to understand how men intervened, why they did so, and how these interventions relate.

The Modern mind's inability to detach himself from the observed, either because of fear, or a genetic limitation, makes him susceptible to communal tides.
With inter-subjectivity, individual self-interests construct the world of man, he calls morality, politics, the State, and only within these confines does he feels comfortable, because he feels he can reason with a man, even an evil one, but he cannot reason with an indifferent to his whims natural world.

Excluding the past/nature is how he immerses himself in the Modern, in the current, the politically-correct, determined by competing Nihilistic values over mass acceptance.
Popular appeal is how he decides what is best.

I've said this before....
When the abstraction, the noumenon, need not be connected to the phenomenon, then the struggle becomes over noetic abstractions, all disconnected from reality, and all offering a solution to its unyielding threat.
The disconnection from reality makes the constructs a Nihilist can produce, unrestricted, unlike the realist who is limited by the world.
He imposes a rule, a limit, upon his self-serving, self-referential, abstractions, such as the rule that places the limit where the other's fantasy begins, so as to not overdo it and unbalance the social dynamics that permit him the luxury.

When the real becomes subjective, detached from all objective world, pure noetic construct, then the issue of what is "real" becomes a debate, or a struggle between political views - short for perspectives.
The participants begin to believe that their vote, the attraction of the majority, to their side, constitutes a shift in the world.

World is human world.
It changes according to fashion trends.

Within human environments the debate over what perspective will dominate continues unabated, unresolved, undecided.
The multiplicity of noetic constructs struggle to shape the "reality" of the human condition.
And here is where Nihilistic construct hold sway, feeding into man's deepest anxieties and desires, all antagonistic towards a world that challenges them.
Only here do words like "justice", and "immortality", make sense, and other words like "morality" and "love" are redefined.

In nature there is no debate.
The onus is upon you, to perceive correctly; adapt or die.
Some words lose meaning, whereas others return to their original connections.
No vote can change it.
No popularity, or "rights", can sway it.

Follow a Modern's "reasoning", using his own principles, down to its "logical" end, and there discover his fear of the real exposed in absurdity.

For the Modern Nihilist, philosophy, if not a pretentious word to throw around so as to impress, and if not a career to carry out professionally and in alignment to the detached aloofness of someone reassured and in agreement with the status quo, becomes no more than masturbation: is reduced to a hedonistic ploy, another way to reach climax and then find another version to mix it up a little, and keep the novelty alive - sexual promiscuity carries through to the intellectual, and as with promiscuity, love, as in "love of wisdom" becomes a prostitutes lie.

Infidelity is only possible when the past is left behind, it never caries through to a future effect; it depends on not having regret, because each experience, each momentary infatuation, is meaningless after the orgasm releases what has been accumulated as baggage.

In all instances of a challenge, it is not enough to cast aspersions, and to insinuate a superiority against a hypothetical inferiority.
One must provide an alternative, otherwise it is not a challenge.

But the Modern Nihilists is convinced that if you find "sin" in the believer that this will make all equally inferior before a singular God.
Desperate and unable to provide an alternative he engages in personal insinuations, and considers it a "victory" if he believes he has uncovered a flaw in the other's theory, but the real simpletons among them thinks that slandering the messenger eliminates the message, having learned nothing from the Crucifixion
Creationists do this all the time.

Again, this is the argument from the "negative", in the either/or dynamic, or the master/slave psychology.
If it is not absolute, then it is nil.
If it in not omniscient, then it is equally ignorant.
If it is omnipotent, then it is equally feeble.

Cynicism, pretending to be intellectual skepticism, comes in handy.
It's called "leveling down".

So brainwashed the modern has become, so indoctrinated into the multifariousness of collective delusion, annulling everything outside their "rights" to believe in whatever makes them happy, or makes them feel good, that they've sacrificed their eyes, as the Christians have already sacrificed their reason, as proof of their faith, towards the continuance of hope in the absurd.

It happens in front of them but they do not see. They do not trust their own senses, having been convinced that sometimes what they see as diverting is so, while at other times it is superficial, and illusion.
But how can they choose, how do they justify this selective application of a cognitive rule, an innate practice that has proven itself in time, if not for the authority of an "expert", replacing God as the "word of goodness"?

The sanctioned authority, like a priest of old, speaks on behalf of the Idea(l) Man - no longer called God, but now secularized into the more inclusive ambiguity of "Humanity".
This "priestly authority, sometimes under the guise of empiricism and scientific method, is the one who decides when an appearance matters and when it is irrelevant.
The modern gladly defers to his gracious aid, absolving him of all responsibility, knowing that poor judgment is no longer accompanied by the worse possible outcome, for even stupidity has its place in this Nihilistic meme.

Once addicted to dependence, like a child that refuses to grow up, weening him off the teet is next to impossible.
The "Might is Right" is converted to "I say so" which is preferably expressed, to save his ego from total embarrassment, into "We say so" delivered by the one who who pretends to have taken his selfishness out of the way, to allow the "grace of the common" to pronounce itself anew to a recycled flock of sheeple.

The absurdity of this faith cannot be defended, unless one is trained in the art of rhetoric, and juggling terms with no connection to anything perceived, such as "love with no strings" and "justice" and "equality" and "evolution that only affects the body and leaves the mind pure and at par with evolving techniques and technologies", or political discourse, the Moderns refer to as dialectics.
Turning of the tables is the only way to go, for the Nihilist, upon discovering how in limbo his dogma is, and how unable he is to offer a challenge to any opinion connected to reality.

Like a female would, or an effete manimal, in our Feminized culture, he conducts a campaign of personal assault, while leaving the ideas themselves on the side, to be ignored and, hopefully for him, forgotten.
This redirection has been taught to him, over the years, in defence of all those empty words he once considered substantial, and world altering events.
If he ignores the utility of sex, it is to preserve its reinvention in a Modern world of lies and hypocrisies, and if he ignores the significance of the apparent it is only to maintain the comfort of his inter-subjective pretenses.
His methods are feminine and just like when dealing with any female they are psychologically draining.

To this feminine idea(l) the cynic appears as the boyish aloof one, only seeking pleasure and a way to get by.
A tentative alliance is forged, though never admitted.
The multiplicity of Nihilism must be placed on the pedestal of "free-spiritidness" where both female and boy, find a way up and over the masses they pretend to love - it is in their performance they discover pride.
It is an alliance of liars and thieves.

What's left for the Modern male, if we dare use that label?

No history to speak of, no identity, no sense of self beyond the flighty moments between his life and oncoming death, most with no offspring in a world they claim to like, excluding them as expendable.

What is left for them, but their quiet misery, pretending to be joyous, each breath denying existence its full merit, and their ephemeral orgasms, each one less enjoyable than the one before.

What is left to them, these living dead?
A superficial life, suddenly ending without a hint of its passing.
Those memories they turn over and over again, in their minds, and with each tumble adding to it sauce and spices, until it has become a monstrosity nobody can swallow.

What's left to them, these "men" who remained boys to get by?
Dreams of exotic escapes, and erotic ecstasies, rejecting what is present and at hand, never to be tasted?
What's left of these boys, but a cynical laughter, reducing it all down to where their life disappears in the flatness of the desert's shifting sands, each one finding its way down to the lowest-common-denominator?

A chronic procrastinator, the modern, effete and needy, can;t decide; can't take responsibility for his own judgments.
He is a coward, denying his own sight, if it emans he can remain indecisive on matters that insult his lifestyle, or threaten his sense of well-being.
He postpones everything until someone comes up with a way of determining the absolute, the indisputable, convincing a coward of things that scare him.

He needs a divine decree, some official decision to accept, like a good sheep, even if it pains him.
He needs the approval of the majority to think nasty, dirty thoughts, without guilt.

He cannot fathom anyone who thinks for himself, and so he assumes that all opinions are based on a subjective "I say so".

Nihilism: the entrapment within the dualism of binary logic.
The 1/0, good/bad, linguistic poles.

That these would evolve out of simple systolic/diastolic processes is to be expected, as are the paradoxes created when noumena/abstractions are taken literally rather than figuratively, as absolutes rather than as approximations, as truths rather than as probabilities.

Existence is (inter)activity, Flux, and this emans that the world is continuously changing, and the subjective mind is continuously trying to keep up with the changes.
It is why intelligence evolved and has proven to be such an advantage.
Recognizing patterns is a way of preempting change.

But patterns, like the laws man discoverers to represent them, are also changing, but not at rates where life and knowledge and understanding would be impossible.

Once trapped in noetic constructs the modern mistakes human contrivances, and rules governing his own method of abstracting, for universal truths, and he confuses symbols, noumena, for the thing being symbolized, phenomena.
In his either/or psychology, his binary paradigm, all words are either meaningless representations, or they are all literally that which they allude to.

Again....first step is to go through all the worlds man uses and connect as many as possible to the apparent.
Words that cannot be attached are to be filed nuder idea(l)s, or pure self-referential abstractions.
Every single word which cannot reference the apparent outside the human skull, is most definitely referring another mind or is referring back to itself: its own abstractions, feelings, emotions, fantasies.

This first step of cleansing will either return worlds that have been hijacked by nihilists to their rightful role, or it will identify words that are meaningless, or metaphorical, or entirely void of substance and sense - non-sense.

All we need to do is take words like "human", and "love", "self", "race", "pleasure", and "sex" to realize how they've been stripped of all content and have become pure noetic constructs, at the service of Modern Nihilism.
All we have to do is take words like "equal", "same", "justice", "god", "sin", "salvation", "class" to realize how entirely human constructs can be trained into a population, and become self-evident parts of their thinking - part of the collective meme.

When the dis-ease begins to assert itself upon the will, the ailing mind turns to medication.

At first, something to alleviate the pressures of the internal struggle, the fever, the discomfort; soothing to help him sleep, to quiet him down with narcosis.
A state of near-death, where the body shuts down its internal data gathering to a level where the mind is no longer troubled by the distress the illness is producing in him.

Then something to compensate for this internal numbness. Something distracting, exciting, something to take this catatonic will and focus is outwards, towards something innocuous, irrelevant, taking the mind |out of its problems".

No-thing (pun intended) expresses the Modern's addiction to words and abstractions, and his inability o think beyond the linguistic symbolism, then the question "What is it that changes?".
In its other forms it comes across as the linguistic paradox, which is trapped in its own presuppositions, "The truth is there is no truth" or "There is absolutely no absolute".
If you follow the "reasoning" backwards (Top<>Down), with courage and honesty - both in short supply among the moderns who need both to love themselves and to cope with a reality which is indifferent - the the question becomes "How did the universe begin?", or the so called "Big Bang", and its cosmic "fabric" its indivisible (a-tomo), its immutable particle, substance, thing.

The confusion leads to Wittgenstein's conclusions, and to Marxist word-games, mirroring the preceding Judeo-Christian ones, and, in time, to Modern cynicism and the settling for what is most immediate and predictable: pleasure
If we get so far as to understand all this, then the next phase is Modern cynicism and the appreciation of "philosophy" as a career option, based on lies and linguistic games.
The ones preaching subjectivity are the first to declare words empty and philosophy dead, outside of utilitarianism, and socioeconomic Modern political discourse.
It's no different than when MRA's pronounce Paternalism dead, and primitive, and then complain about feminism and use this "death" as an excuse to "turn the other way" and to justify remaining child-like, and its the same process that leads from feminism declaring females no different than men, except in appearance, and then complaining how there are no "good men" to be found.
The meme infects the mind with the very ideas that then tap it in its own paradoxes, its own dilemmas, its own contradictions.

The [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is a cold, linguistic, abstract war.
It's frontiers are noetic.
It's gains and losses are abstract.
Its weapons are words.
It's collateral effects are brain damage, neurosis, and indoctrination.

The idea that one can escape need/suffering, the very experience of existence, is a presumptuous modern one.
Whether you deny need/suffering, or make excuses for it means nothing to the price that must be paid for existing.
You may numb yourself, you may postpone the inevitable, thusly multiplying the cost you must pay, and you may laugh it off as illusion....but you can never escape it.

The payment may be in one lump sum, including all the suffering that has been avoided up to that point, or it may be paid in small tolerable increments, but it will be paid, one way or another.

In fact, those facing devastating proposal situations can be certain that it is because they've postponed the need/suffering, wither by delusion or by sheltering, offering by a benevolent external force, which will only accentuate the severity of the experience of the first contact with reality.
We can include within this group those who never take responsibility for anything that has ever happened to them, choosing to unburden themselves by placing the cause of need/suffering upon some external other.
With no regrets, and no accountability they will undoubtedly repeat the steps that resulting in their first "negative" experience, only now time would have made it even more severe upon their depleting energies.
With no understanding of world,a s it is, they will suffer the results, and then pass it on to their offspring, as an unpaid legacy, which may prove to be lethal with time's multiplying factor.

Humility before nature must be expressed through humility before other.
The "correct" amount of reverence towards the unknown, the unknowable, must go through the other, who we prostrate ourselves before, as a sign of the appropriate amount of self-doubt, and acknowledgement of our own fallibility.
Fear being the great equalizer. Fear of death resulting in bowing before God.
The absent absolute makes all manifestations of existence equally inferior.
The Christian ethos, or herd psychology.

Sex void of its aggression, and respect void of its intimidation.
"All deserve respect" would mean that all "deserve" without reason, and that all can intimidate with the possibility of withholding from the other something "valuable", something the other has yet to appreciate "correctly".
Modern ethos, or the Nihilistic all-levelling virus of inversions.
Equalization before the unknown, before the negative.
All perspectives, no matter how absurd, "deserve", have "merit" are "valuable".
We are all equally ignorant of the absolute; all equally vulnerable before the unknown.

The psychology of inter-subjectivity, of communal perspectivism.
Democracy of idiocy.
A negotiated mediocrity, based on mutual concessions before the absent absolute - the mysteriousness of the mind of God.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The threat/cold forces the flock to huddle, each member struggling to reach the centre, the heat of the middle - the position being shared, as the jostling pushes the ones inside towards the periphery.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The cold indifference of the world, of nature, kept outside.
Numbers are crucial, determining the depth of the cooperative - the distance between centre and periphery, where enduring the world becomes problematic.

Nihilism is the mental equivalent of this huddling.
A necessary attitude, psychology, to accommodate as many members/minds into the fold, as possible.

The mass of the herd bodies, moving as one, disorients the hunters, confuses them, prevents them from focusing on a single one - psychology of schooling.
Fear as the guiding principle/emotion of social behaviour.

Those on the edge, the periphery, are the most vulnerable, making the "extremists" the equivalent edge of thinking - the undesirable edge of the communal thinking school.
"Proper" thinking is about pushing into the centre of the communal idea(l)s - the trending mediocrity, the tolerant middle ground.
Accommodating the other is making sure there are more bodies/minds between you and the outside world.
Nihilism is what strips the individual of all identifiers that prevent accommodation, inclusion, - acceptance into the herd.
The goal is not lucidity, honesty, clarity, but survival, and if sacrificing integrity accomplishes this, and if stupidity increases the possibility of this, then this is what is selected.

The herd/school/flock moving as if it were one organism - of a single mind ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]).
Each member adjusting itself in relation to its "neighbour".
The "neighbour" becomes the cue, the measure for adjusting behaviour, attitude, beliefs.
He who remains within the flock increases his chances of surviving the world outside of it.
The foundation of herd psychology, of subjectivism, of the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] mind.
The world is what is to be avoided - counter philosophical, anti-intellectual, anti-world/life.
What matters is relating to the others in the herd, and adjusting (politics) in accordance to their course - cynicism protecting the individual from all ideas that connect it, expose it, to the world outside the herd premises, the acceptable demeanour, thinking.
Mental laughter of stress reducing spasms.

"Changing your mind" is a sign of willingness to make concessions in reference to this communal course.
The "world" is always in reference to the other, your neighbour, the community of the flock/school/herd - when the Modern/Nihilist says "world" he means the "world of man", the social structure (politics) and how he relates to the others - how close he is to the middle, the safety of the mediocre centre.
This is the inter-subjective mindset.
A community of accommodation, each taking his/her place, in a just system, at the middle, the centre.
The flow inward being what is called "trend", or "progress" - bodies shuffling, ever so slightly, pushing towards the middle, forcing those already there back outward, towards the edge - cycles of genetic/memetic flow.
The "right" thing to do is to give way to the other to have his time at that centre of the flock/school/herd - Golden Rule.
Accommodating everyone is ensuring personal safety, warmth, survival, before the terrifying outside world, which can now be denied existence by those within the herd, immersed within it since birth - the sensual landscapes dominated by bodies of your own kind, by equally subjective minds of correct attitudes.
This is most obvious with humans who build an entire system of accommodation, and exclusion of world - using techniques/technologies.
Each member can now live a lifetime within this artificiality of human interventions; a cocoon of warm bodies huddling.
The psychology of Nihilism.
Who dares peer outside the inter-subjective "world of man", of human relationships, politics, morals?

Respect for other is an accommodation for the sake of world - the intimidation of world forcing a concession towards neighbour.
All "deserve", and all must be included - quantities over qualities.
All are respectable.
God is a metaphor for this huddling mass of bodies/minds.
Humanity is its secular accommodation of even more, by reducing the identifiers that may exclude.
Once you learn the psychology of the masses [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] you see the pattern of social behaviour, of herd psychology - politics.

Having been stripped of his past/nature, the modern turns to his utility, his work, to find self-esteem.
And what is this self-esteem but the collective appreciation of his (inter)activities?
A Marxist is born.

He is no longer born into a category, a type, a bloodline, he must earn his entrance by becoming useful.
The cost of escaping past/nature, genetic determinism, is a submission to the collective judgment of the group you wish to be a member of, and for a group identifying with nihilistic ideals, this entrance exam is a test of your ability to let go of everything which you were born as - which for most is not a big deal, since they despise themselves, their families, their inheritance; the cost is tolerance of other, no matter how obtuse, or vile, he may be, testing your commitment to the shared agreement "Ye shall not exclude anybody form the collective. Ye shall pretend to respect, love, them, and value them, so as to receive the same in return".

Linguistic inversion, contradicting verbally the perceived, leads to linguistic paradoxes but also to confusion.
The Modern will be against his own genetic interests, because he is dedicated to his memetic investments.

Thusly, the MGTOW will reject Paternalism, which is what would offer him an entrance into the genetic pool.
He, in effect, sabotages the only idea(l) that raised the odds of male participation, and then complains about male "expendability".
The complaint is against nature and the male role, which Paternalism intervened upon by restricting female and male sexual behaviour.
The Marxist will support the idea(l) that reduces him to a production/consuming unit and then complain about how alienated he feels, finding only in labour, his communally appreciated utility, his only source of identity.

It is inevitable that when one is infected with a memetic virus, coming in conflict with genetic dispositions, schizophrenia, and psychosis, would be the outcome.
Internal turmoil when mind come into conflict with body, which is no more than the manifestation of past (nature) is no more than the conflicting data coming into the brain from internal sources, via the nervous system, and external sources coming into the brain via the sense organs.
When the external sources are dominated by artificial manmade artifices, which have pushed nature to the periphery, and when only words sampling other minds through language are dominated by abstractions with no reference to anything outside human brains, then the conflict becomes one between noumena and phenomena, or noumena referring to other noumena, versus noumena referring to phenomena.

The identifier of class, the Marxists use to unite mankind under an economic hierarchy, levelled down to the singular class of "worker", is a human construct, meaningless outside human systems.
The Nihilist dreams of a Utopia where he can identify with anything, including whatever he imagines in the course of his life, helping him compensate for his inherited deficiencies.
The American Dream, the conservative's orgasm, is earning the credits to have others pretend to buy into your identity, no matter how ridiculous it may be.
The liberal wants all to have that "right", if they work for the benefit of the whole, and their identifier does not impede the fantasies of the other.

Organs are really a problem.
How do you convince yourself, and others, that your anus really has no function, no naturally determined purpose, so that you can use it in alternative, updated, progressive ways?
The issue with appearances is that it is an in-your-face reminder of what has been determined.
Nothing irks Moderns, and their dream of freedom from nature, their dram of unloading the past, as they would "baggage", than this constant reminder of what they can never overcome using words, and delusions, and humming as you shut your eyes and ears.

We're at a point now where a white woman can declare herself a negro, because it's cool, black is in in our time, and because she wants to take full advantage of her victim status, because in the game of "who is the biggest victim?" nothing can beat a negro female, except perhaps a negro paraplegic lesbian female with ten kids and no husband.

We have been reduced to children trying to take back out tools, from those who use them as toys.
It is our primary motive, when words have been hijacked, and recruited in the service of the nil.

From symbols referring to nothing more than mental models (abstractions), we will return them to instruments for navigating the seas of space-time, in search for Ithaca.
But we've grown accustomed to the deck and the sail, we weathered sea-merchants, we pirates of the middle-earth.
Riding upon the ocean current between the "over" and the "under", we resist the temptation to take flight, using the sails as wings, just as we resist the abyss tugging at our feet, "riding the wave" towards the endless horizon.

Who, but the foolish, the desperate, mistake words for actions?
Who but the obtuse mistake actions for things?

We know how to use words.
We know what words indicate.

Patterns in the celestial above, and patterns in the dark below, the former inspiring our thoughts and directing us towards our destination, the latter, mostly unseen, pulling at us in many directions, forcing us to re-balance, upon the shifting deck, following the rhythm of the sea.

And when we say "know thyself" we mean look back, to the immutable past, to determining nature, and seek there patterns to explain your presence. Find there an understanding to be used in your voyage forward, towards known and unknown shores.

Rescuing language from the clutches of the life-haters entails a struggle against the effects of history, and cultural conventions.
Not only must we reattach words to noumena that refer to phenomena, and not back to other noumena, but we must pull them free from their socioeconomic conventionality, their established utility, made rigid over centuries of habitual usage.

We can no longer use words like "ego" without having to deal with how it was used by Freud, nor use the word "will" without evoking in the Modern the names of those who first introduced him to the term, nor even use terms like autopoiesis without having to answer to Mutarana and how he applied the term which simply means self-creation.
Academic rigidity, also proudly referred to as philosophical stringency is how the brain is encased in linguistic boxes, unable to break free and apply language as artistic device, connecting mind to the apparent. This "stringency" is an addiction to proxies, a way of avoiding the risk of error and its subsequent embarrassment - a feminine disposition hiding behind some "authority", some communally acknowledged "alpha male".
The modern no longer hold the world as his standard but the manmade world of inter-subjectivity, full of these shared authority figures that have already decided how to apply words.
The Modern mind encounters world through others, and his encountering goes through the abstractions and the words these others used.
The world/word connection no longer matters. What matters is the word/man connection - how the word makes him feel, how it makes him relate to other men, what popular utility the word has, what conventional application.

If we will have any success in our mission to rid ourselves of this mental dis-ease, this memetic virus, then the agency through which the infection enters the mind must be cleansed of all corruption.
Words must be re-connected to noumena with references to world, and words must be dislodged from habitual usage, from proxies often lending them a mystical air to make them fit into their object/objectives.
Each word must be demystified, reconnected to the observed, used appropriately to indicate specific observable phenomena, and no more than that.

If we consider the words "will" and "value" we will notice that the only meaning they have is in reference to a mental process, relating the organism's needs with the organism's perceptions.
We cannot speak of a rock having value in and of itself, no more than we can use will to refer to the rock's (inter)activity.
Value is the appreciation of otherness, in relation to organic needs.
If we wish to describe a relationship outside this appreciation another word must be found.
How do inorganic elements relate, how do they (inter)act has nothing to do with evaluation, appreciation, implying a intended unity, a self, a oneness, a motive.
The push/pull of patterns (inter)acting can be reduced to a mathematical concept of 1/0, or a linguistic concept of good/bad, positive/negative, but only by a mind that projects itself into the unity it constructs, unifies it in its mind as a thing, confusing its own dualistic/binary methods, its own representational constructs, for universal truths.

Will is meaningless outside a mind that wills, by focusing its aggregate energies upon an object/objective.
The brain having evolved to meet organic needs, often uses the methods of evaluating other in relation to this evolved function, to appreciate that which lies outside of its immediate organic needs.
it does so by denying the need behind its willing - its need to understand, to orient itself within the fluctuating (inter)activities, the need to preserve itself within them, the need to increase order, as an extension of its own ordering, giving rise to techniques/technologies, its need to impose its will upon otherness, in other words to absorb otherness and direct it in accordance with its own needs.

A rock wills nothing, as it is not a unity, nor conscious, but only a momentary (inter)action held together as a one by the observing mind that focuses upon its combined patterns and distinguishes them as different, in degree, from the background, and cuts away dimensional possibilities to clarify the particular, so as to find details in it.
To Will is to need. Will is a focus on the desired, the needed, often projected as an idea(l) to be striven towards - Will to.....
There are physical and mental needs, corresponding to the organ dominating the focus.
There are needs that absorb, due to lack, and then produce excess creating a need to express, to explode, to overflow.
The concept of "overflowing" already presupposes a limit reached.
But there is no such boundary except among organic entities which posit skin and bone as the extent of their self-organizing.
We can conceptualize the world as overflowing, as in endless (inter)action, only from the vantage point of an outside, with no precise borders, except vague noetic constructs.
To speak of over or fullness other than as a metaphorical device converting the inorganic into terms the organic can relate to is nonsensical.
Full/Empty only have meaning for an organism with needs, starting with the primary need to self-preserve, because without it there is no possibility for excess, there is no possibility of life as the awakening to existence.
The concept full/empty are not absolute,a s the absolute is missing, it is what is absent and felt as lack. The concepts full/empty, relating to overflowing, or lack, imply a relationship.
A relationship appreciated from the vantage point of an organism, a self-organizing, self-ordering, emergent unity, which is never finalized, never completed.
In this context the word "value" also acquires meaning.
For what is appreciated is always in relation to the observer, making of his ordering the standard for appreciating the positive/negative, the good/bad.

To become objective, or to make of one's subjectivity more objective, entails an act of will.
The organism must project mind outside of its organizing, as pure noumenon, without losing itself in the process, without losing contact with its organic source, its phenomenal presence.
This is only possibly on the higher cognitive levels of intentionality.
Cleansing the judgment of all, or most, self-interests, emotions, desires, organic needs, the sensation of existing as need/suffering, the mind can appreciate good/bad, positive/negative as a detached observer.
The first hurdle is the perception of self as ephemeral, imperfection, struggling against the inevitable - a horrific vision that returns most back to the body's comforting porous shell, away from the monstrous abyss.
Some never recover, using narcotics, religion being one, or giving in to hedonistic escapes, or finding in self-denial a method of coping.
If endured the next step is to acknowledge the prejudices inherit in language - language springing forth from organic needs, no meet organic needs, effective in temporarily satisfying them by using binary logic, first to evolve because it is the easiest, which then results in the dualism of human categories.
Positive/Negative, Good/Bad, 1/0 can now be understood as a symbolism expressing a relating, now placed outside the organic thorough projection - objectivity.
Another way to describe this relating is (inter)activity. How one pattern (inter)acts with another, and then with others, which may also include (inter)actions with no pattern, determines the relating.
The mind can only simplify/generalize the process using apriori methods of translating the fluid into static states, which it then confuses as that which is being translated from the incomprehensible to a form, a code, the organic brain can process and reduce to an abstraction, a noetic construct.

The matter of infinite regress is but the paradox created when a mind constructing simplifications/generalizations by reducing the continuum, the pattern, into a thing, faces the conundrum of infinite divisibility, which is but the consequence of the counter-intuitive real being intuited as abstraction.
Infinite divisibility is how the organic brain discovers Flux, as that which contradicts its own noetic constructs, its own simplified/generalized abstractions, its own ordering.
The word denoting a dynamic process “ordering” has no meaning without chaos. Because if it is simply a continuous re-ordering, then absolute order is already implied, replacing the word “God”, and raising the question of “evil”: why would absolute order include reorganizing, reordering, from the more perfect/ordered to the less perfect/ordered?
Baptizing it all as manifestation of this singular order, is, again, a reintroduction of Jude-Christian dogma into secularism – absolute faith in the not-perceived, and what is contradicted by the present, by presence, the apparent.
Belief that every (inter)action is following a pattern is the secular interpretation of the belief that all “evil” has a purpose, and all destruction has a constructive end – the resolve of the coward desperate to cope with its condition by finding a justification, a rational behind, underneath, above all occurrences.
It is the epitome of a conspiracy theory, believing that behind every event lies a reason, a logic, an order, a will; anything is better than chaos – randomness cannot be understood, nor corrected, nor engaged in dialogue/dialectics; it is, by definition unpredictable, unreasonable, counter-intuitive.
Fear of the unknown leads to belief in an irrational God; fear of the random leads to a belief in an irrational absolute order: a cosmic pattern, revealing itself, as in revelation, through secret symbols: numbers and geometric shapes, in the case of Modern secular Deism.

Rescuing language from Nihilism is our primary objective.
Reconnecting words to noumena with references outside the brain is our mission; freeing words from a fashionable academic application, often directed by a nihilistic imperative, is our goal.
A word only refers to a noumenon (abstraction, mental model; representation using simplification/generalization to reduce the fluctuating into a thing).
A noumenon must be the product of both internal and external sources/references - the internal being the aprior concepts evolved to interpret fluidity, but also organic stimuli collected by the nervous system, and funnelled towards the brain; the external being sensual stimuli converted to code the organic can process, and then transmitted to the brain where along with internal stimuli combine into a concept, and/or an image - a representation.

Only then can we project an intended object/objective, as a motive, a destination - an idea(l) rooted in our evaluation and appreciation of past/nature and the patterns it exposed us to: the apparent, appearances (phenomena).
Only then can our projection be probable, and not fanciful constructs based on no more than hope and emotion, particularly fear; only then can our imagination be cleansed of infantile fantasy, dreaming of the implausible as if it were immanent; only then can our idea(l)s regain meaning, and nobility.
To make of ourselves philosophers we must first become artists, and come to understand each and every colour, shape, tone, texture; we must become masters of the medium to be used to represent that which we need to understand.

Belief in universal order is a way of sneaking in, through the back, door, the concept of God - God now given another one of his many names – his multiple names representing the multifariousness of Nihilism free from phenomenal restraints to fantasize the desired in any way possible.
To say that underlying all (inter)actions is a secret order, is like saying that underlying all circumstances, all events, is a purpose, a divine will.
The backdoor avenue also comes with its own scripture – the will of God given a new scientific form, a rational symbolism, but taken as the word of God, rather than man representing that which is fluctuating.
Search for the Divine word of god, has acquired a pseudo-scientific method.
Order, like God, is presupposed, and the word of God, how he reveals Himself to his flock, has taken on a mathematical/geometric mantle.
It is not enough to say all is (inter)acting, and that some (inter)actions are simply void of all possibility of ordering, because that would be threatening to an organism so dependent on ordering.
In the nihilistic dichotomy both ends of the paradigm must be dominated by an absolute, a singularity, reflecting the duality of the nihilistic goal – either in cold or in heat, either in the one or in the nil, shall the end be found; because an end is the ultimate goal of all nihilistic minds, though they may call it Utopia, or dress it up in some other "positive" garb.
What is most terrifying to the Nihilist is not Satan, the evil, the absolute nil, because even here some salvation is expected, some deal can be worked out, and no matter how it is imagined it is always rational, comprehensible, logical in some way, the Nihilist can relate to it.

What terrifies the Nihilist is the irrational, the incomprehensible, what evades all categories, lacks all pattern to intuit, to abstract it, and then make it "comprehensible”: by giving it a symbol, a word.
Every disaster, illness, devastation, can be endured by such self-hating minds, if it promises some purpose, a meaning, some underlying rationale to make his need/suffering something bearable, to convert everything he is to endure into something he can understand.
Chaos must be reduced to complexity, because the randomness it truly implies is something the modern cannot wrap himself around to a degree where he can tolerate its indifferent brutality.
Order, when it is not found, is postponed, projected as an immanence, a secret hidden awaiting discovery.
Calling chaos a higher degree of order, a more subtle ordering, is how he can deal with its incomprehensibility - the term complexity including hope, progress towards, in its name alone.
The horror of peering into the void has found a jewification to make it something to be endured, then it goes through the baptismal rites of Christian cosmopolitanism: the priestly hierarchy.
Not ordering, in fact, but endless re-ordering of the already ordered.
A shuffling of symmetries – sometimes diminishing and then rising again, as if guided by divine Will.
The implication is that all is salvageable, all has value when it hides some degree of order.
All can be rehabilitated, corrected, resolved – resentiment finds relief in the unknown, the unknowable, which for it has become knowable, comprehensible, potentially understood (faith).
God and man shall one day meet in Paradise.

Has not even Nietzsche been translated into Messianic, Hebrew, terms?
Has he not been made into a false prophet, and placed alongside Jesus, along with Socrates; a harbinger of transhumanism?
Have we not replaced a corporeal messiah with a mechanical one?
As extension of man, techniques/technologies, and the externalization of human processes, as machines, have reinvented Biblical narrative.
Not through the Bible but through science-fiction shall we find freedom from ourselves; an escape from the experience of existing.
The few will one day discover the secret in the word of God, the cosmic text, the meaning in the shapes and symbols.
Hidden order will be revealed.
Then they, like good Christian Priests, will offer it to the dumb masses, as sacramental bread, and wine, of the body and blood of the Christ.
The secret will be absorbed into the collective mind/body, and eternal life, free of need/suffering will one day grace mankind.

Now that even Satan, the chaotic, the incomprehensibly random, the one who convinces man of its absence, has been incorporated into the divine, as another element of the sacred, what can stop man from saving himself from himself?
All he must do is remain faithful, vigilant, and open to suggestions; to the meanings included in the symbols the cosmic offers him.
A reflection of his own mental projections, some kynical dark one might say, but who will listen to "negativity"?

The depravity, the shallowness, of the typical Modern, the average Nihilist, is that he has reduced interpersonal relationships to superficial (inter)actions.
Sexual intercourse no more than penis and vagina, the physical relating; orgasm and no fertilization, no product.
The mind is reduced to a bystander, an observer, of the body's activities.

This follows the Modern's usual approach to all things. He remains on the superficial, either reducing all to the physical or abstracting it to a degree that it loses all contact with it.

This is his schizophrenia.
His selective reasoning.

He is never a complete human being, (inter)acting with a complete human being, mind and body - presence and past.
He is fragmented, segmented, castrated, lobotomized, compartmentalized.
He is either not there, or there in the shallows.
Either all mind, or all body.

A great misfortune for the modern imbecile, the realization that man is born with inclinations, with genetic drives, with programming, determining everything from sex to how he reacts to appearances.
And it takes training, cultural repression to stifle them, to clean them up, to bury them, so as to leave a theoretical tabula rasa to be written upon by socioeconomic necessities.
In this belief he exposes how afraid he is of world, and how hateful he is towards nature.
He uses words to pretend that sex emerges as if by magic, with no function - allowing each individual to decide how to use their own organs, unable to pass judgment on those where the process of hormonal determinism goes astray, leaving us with unfit mutations.

He uses words to slander language, reducing it to no more than a toy, used to laugh away reality.
He uses self-deceit to pretend appearances are irrelevant, superficial, but only in some circumstances, and not in others.
The coward that he is, he convinces himself and wants to convince all, that the world is the world of man - within which all is decided, determined, and nothing preceding it, outside of it, is relevant.
He dreams of changing the world by changing the minds of humans, as if doing so affects the world.

He wants everything about the human species to be a social construct, because then he can vote on it, he can reason with it, he can alter it with a majority, and he can endure it, tolerate it, as a passing fad, a trend to be replaced by another later on.

With Nihilistic inversion, the gene to meme process is inverted to meme to gene.
The idea that culture emerges out of genetics, as a continuance of it, out of how a population (inter)acted with environment over centuries, frightens the Modern, the average moron.
He is inadvertently exposing his social eugenics preferences, which he calls civility, or "normality", where the individual is mind-cleansed of all natural inclinations, all natural identifiers, and becomes a total socioeconomic, political construct - a memetic artifice.

He feels safest when humans follow prescribed socioeconomic recipes, established "proper" behaviors, and identify with cultural ideals...all decided in political discourse, as if human nature is decided in a vote, and is not merely suppressed, forced to become subversive, forced to discipline itself to the majority.
The Modern loves to live in hypocrisy and pretense, in a world of repressed drives, fake civility, platitudes, social conventions, delusion.

Even the topic of nature of man, outside his own social comfort zone distresses him.
He laughs at it, releasing stress, he lies to himself, and plays mind games, word-games to dismiss it - he prefers making language a meaningless ploy where all but the obvious is ever expressed, using it.
An Orwellian nightmare.
His idea(l) of no idea(l)s, his culture of no culture, his vision of the Last Man is his daydream reality - the shared inter-subjective world of man, of noetic compromises.

Has he dealt with the issues that frighten him, in this way, or has he blinded himself to them, pushed them out of sight, out of mind, able to forget they exist, content to live in a world of superficial duplicity, because he feels safe there?

From the gene-to-meme process we can now judge an idea(l) which is a memetic projection of a desirable destination, as more or less in tune with the gene it is rooted in.
If it contradicts the gene, denies it, forgets it, it is Nihilistic.
If it is in alignment it is in harmony.
Values, and evaluating, value judgments, follow from this.
The idea(l) alignment, harmony, agreement, with the genetic past, determines the standard by which all circumstances are judged, are evaluated.

For instance, the agreement of a memetic idea(l) with the genetics concerning sex, and why it evolves, what function it serves, determines all judgments concerning all manifestations of sexual behaviors.
For instance, the memetic agreement of the idea(l) with the genetics of what appearances mean, and what intelligence is, and how human is defined, establishes the standard by which all manifestations of the species human is to be judged.

One may disagree with the details of what the idea(l) in tune with genetics is, but this disagreement is limited by the genetics which do not leave much room to maneuver.
When one begins to question the genetics, of say what sex being a personal choice, or why appearances do not matter, claiming that both suddenly emerge and are determined within human social systems, then we are entering the realm of buffoonery and overt Nihilistic self-hatred; anxiety concerning nature/past, and how it shaped all species, including humans, centuries before there was a hint of human civilization.
The dismissal of everything preceding the emergence of human civilization, which at first did not divert from natural precedent - the Nihilistic meme emerging only in the last 2,000 years, or so - is a self-inflicted retardation - a mental tool often used by the brain to deal with traumatic events, or with what terrifies it; a form of shock, akin to that observed in prey species who are being eaten alive by predators, showing no discernible reaction.
The brain has mechanisms to protect itself from the trauma of body, and what can be more traumatic to a modern imbecile, than the body's representation of his past?

Self-delusion is also the main ingredient in faith, as practiced in the Judeo-Christian dogmas.
To endure the unendurable, the individual sacrifices reason, awareness; he places himself in a state of blind shock, in self-inflicted numbness - ergo his smiley "thousand yard stare" first observed during World War I, in soldiers who have faced terrifying battle experiences.
