"Height"

Growing up i never really did feel that height really mattered to me, its just something that people had and i was more interested in the content of ones character rather than whether i looked up or down upon them.

Perhaps Ive been retarded but i never knew moderns (specifically women) really cared about "height" up until i reached the "depths" of the internet...

Perhaps its a bit exaggerated but i never knew height could be so impactful upon the modern's image of someone else, is this a symptom of the preference of quantity regardless of quality?

I always appreciated being shorter than average, it gave me something to strive for and i tend to resonate being in the "underdog" position as we all are in the face of chaos...to different degrees of course.

I think about the Spartans and Romans and a brief search gives me numbers around 5'6"- 5'10"

I wonder about the benefits and costs of being taller and wonder if it serves more to an advantage in close quarters combat.

Any experiences and thoughts pertaining to this?

Height is an indication of genetic health. What managed to grow, against gravity, to accumulate the resources to do so, is worth reproducing.
Height is also a sort of peacock's tail burden. Larger bodies expose the organism to more radiation, solar and otherwise, and which increase the possibilities of mutations and decrease life-expectancy.

The chart is actually a fairly qualified compression: the indicated ideal height range, which I'd rearrange to 6 feet .5 inches to 6 feet 3.5 inches, is conducive to full proportional expression and elegance of the male form.

Height is seen as something essential to manliness by females, it's something to do with them feeling protected. Several girls have intimated to me their disgust at short men, something which surprised me. It seems to be one of the first things a woman looks for in a man. I guess from a man's perspective it's more about weight.

I see, but i still don't understand why height is so apparent, there are plenty of other indicators of genetic health that are not as apparent as height is.

I would guess its the intimidation factor, since its the first thing noticed from afar.

Women are getting taller as well.
It's in relation to that, what constitutes attractive height and what's seen as freakishly tall in men.
Also, the proportions of the body have to fit the height, otherwise it's not an indicator of health nor attractiveness.

By the way, cross-breeding can enhance the size of the cross-breed for one generation in many instances, depending on the particular kind of cross-breed. Then the effect usually disappears but the negative effects of the cross-breed continue in the lineage. Average increase in size is probably not only due to improved nourishment but also the extensive mixing of populations in the last decades (also within the racial boundaries due to technology and urbanization).

Modernity is not so much about selecting what is healthy biologically but about interpreting health in a way which makes the majority happy.

I would guess it has to do with gravity, and access to resources.

I was trying to find some information on where the height difference between men come from.. whether from the  X or Y chromosome... I could only find multiple results saying the X chromosome is responsible for height differences between men and women.

In environments where there's little selective pressures day to day against things like height, every physical aspect of the males (beta males in relation to the institution) becomes more important. Crude and viscerally evocative traits become of more import when there's a dumbing down of the people and the culture. That's just my hypothesis anyway.

Height and all appearances matter, but they did less so in the past than they do now. The average height for men is 5' 10", I read.

Height means better vision in the open terrain but it also means to be more visible to others. It lowers the chance of surprises. If you are confident that you can win unless being surprised then height is overall quite useful. The taller you are the longer the range of your arms and legs for attacks. The shorter man tries to win on the ground with wrestling techniques but that's already quite technical and not based on instinctive fighting techniques.
While maintaining healthy proportions, height also means overall greater size. Greater size in healthy proportions means more explosive power for short durations but overall not as much endurance when it comes to long distance running or climbing.

Man should be taller, or at the very least physically stronger than his woman. Otherwise I don't think that either of them finds the other particularly attractive, if they aren't psychologically way off the norm.
On a social level it's about competing with others for status which depending on the society/group is based on certain physical criteria. What is deemed normal for one tribe isn't necessarily so for others and that being based on a biological reality and sense of norm.

I know lots of tall guys who live lonely, unrequited lives. And looking around you'll see that couples, generally share the same height.

More often you will see a female paired with a slightly shorter male, than youll see a female paired with a very taller partner. What people want is a partner similar to their own height.

The picture in the OP is merely a matter of heartless cunts showing off their prejudice, bitchiness, and double standard to the world, and the reason most people despise feminists, including many women.

It's symbolic, really;

a woman desires a man superior to her, a man to " look up to ".

Same sort of thing applies to age. Some women won't even date a man 1 year younger than they are, because they think that one year age gap somehow means they are sages compared to them.

Silly, but that's how some women operate.

At the same time, women are most attracted to younger or immature guys because they can "look up" to them in the arena of their "forever young" and "hapiness" pursuit, which is paradoxically aligned given that females developmentally mature earlier than males.
