Intelligence

Summation: Intelligence is the mental ability for pattern-recognition, and then pattern-manipulation (Psyche), genetically inherited by a population, specie, or society, along with the cultivation of this ability via Education and Experience.

Intelligence coincides with Memory/Memorization. A pattern is 'Re-Cognized' by how a mind (evolved neural network, biological or computational technology) perceives information through its Senses, converts it into a binary-code, and then synthesizes this code with its memory circuits. A pattern has to be repeated as a requirement to this process. A pattern that cannot be repeated by the mind, leaves it Confused and Bewildered, mystified. This happens in regular human conversation when somebody is surprised by a thought or experience, "Can you repeat that please?" This occurs when sensations defy Experience and Expectations. Adult humans develop habitual, daily behaviors, as a means of reducing stress / chaos of existence. As such, 'New' experiences may shake them, or "waken" them up to novel ideas, or threats.

Much of chaotic existence and stimuli, new information, triggers 'threat' and 'fear' responses in humanity, mammals, and all other cognitively evolved species. Fear-responses are mostly genetic and genetically heritable. Fears are 'inherited' from generation-to-generation, for example, recognizing facial differences between 'Predator' and 'Prey' animals. Animals that fail to recognize predatory threats, failure to absorb / memorize predatory traits, are often culled to extinction. Predatory animals often disguise themselves through appearance / behavior / smell to specific Prey animals they grow accustomed to hunting (Parasitism).

New experiences in life are 'checked' by memory-circuits. If the pattern of a new sensation does not match integrated experiences, then emotional & pathological genetic responses are triggered (Instincts / Reflex). Humans have a large range of widely-varied instincts and reflexes, representing a widest swath of options ("Choice") among genetically diverse groups (Heterogeneity). Thus there are advantages to genetic diversity, that are distinctly different to the advantages of a monotonous society (Homogeneity). For example, in an emergency situation or catastrophe, some individuals will fight, some will cower, some will flee, and some will respond with novel or unexpected reactions. This "surprises" most humans, when they react to Fight-or-Flight circumstances suddenly, that they "didn't know I was capable of!"

A wide range, and height variability of Intelligence is best. An Ideal society includes a range of instinctive difference, along with a tall Hierarchy of ability (Pyramid-shaped social dynamics). Females tend to represent the 'Wide' aspect of intelligence, the "average" level but wide genetic representation. Males tend to represent the Height or Y-axis of intelligence, very high abilities along with a section of very low abilities. The degree to which a society includes / excludes the lowest, are its 'Liberal' and 'Tolerance' factors. Midwits (the Average) correctly fear that a society which excludes its lowest members, would eventually target them (triggering a Threat), which is why most humans are against 'Fascist', 'Totalitarian', or "Far-Right" social ideologies. They then use this as a blank accusation against patterns of speech they recognize as 'threatening', thus triggering their emotional / pathological (Anti-social) response.


I'll begin with this...obviously a topic on general Intelligence is exhaustive and extensive, so add your own contributions / insights here.

Pattern-manipulation:

The first and foremost example of pattern-manipulation in humanity is Music. Sounds are absorbed, memorized, and their patterns 'manipulated' via instruments and technology, into songs, melodies, rhythms, beats, etc. These are particularly effective at manipulating Emotional / Pathological responses. Hence music captivates humans, and animals, by first triggering Curiosity (opening the door to memorization) and tapping into Subconscious emotional reflexes / genetic instincts. This is one method, how Manipulation allows access to the Subconscious and Unconscious mental circuits. These are Psycho-Somatic, representative of the "Dream World" of Subconsciousness.

This applies to other sensations: Smell (meals, cooking, food, ingestion), Sight (colors, painting, cinema), Touch, etc.

Art/ifice is mankind's ability to manipulate information, derived from integrated memories, into produced (Artificial) stimulus. This allows for greater & greater degrees of Sophistication (Sophistry), Propaganda, Education, Indoctrination, Learning, as ideas are abstracted into text (sight), and language (sound). Lower animals, and lower hierarchy of humans (midwits), are incapable of such Abstractions. For example, an animal is seduced and enticed by highly advanced, produced Music, but themselves cannot understand or significantly memorize it. Memorization here requires an ability to continually Reproduce the sensual effect. Lower intelligence absorbs information that it-itself cannot reproduce, via Art.

Neuroticism

An intelligence too far above the norm (Midwit) exponentially becomes detrimental and negative to itself.

This is due to how intelligence factors into social groupings. Humans primarily follow patterns of Mammalian instincts, having to do with social and group dynamics / relationships. There is an Alpha-male, Beta "Orbiters" (mostly female), and then a range of lesser / inferior / degenerate males below. Intelligent men have difficulty fitting into these group dynamics. Because it is not Intelligence per se that 'leads' any and all groups, although it can. It is the Alpha-male's -courageousness- that sets him far above the norm. Intelligent men, or women, tend to be more cowardly and risk-averse, because intelligence has a much deeper insight into Danger / Threat / Risk, and what it means to Lose. Thus the ignorance / blissfulness of an Alpha-male provides him a benefit that intelligent men lack.

Thus intelligent males must "find their place" in society, or, attempt to leave it (Individualism). Some intelligent males 'fit' into a hierarchy, as Advisor roles, pending the acceptance of an Alpha-male. The problem of this strategy, is that most Alpha-male and sub-cultural groups, already have one or a set of few Advisors, and none more are needed. Thus intelligent men must compete among themselves to gain political approval of a sub-culture. This is very beneficial to the proven Advisors themselves, but must retain a 'follower' status of the group's politics and cultural legacy. This is why mass Religions have 'intelligent' men who advocate mysticism, fairy tales, and obvious "Big Lies". They forgo their intellectual honesty and integrity, as a cost to the System they serve (State-Leftism / Church-Rightism).


Drug Abuse / Catharsis:

Intelligent men that cannot tolerate intellectual dishonesty, while serving such institutions or sub-cultures, tend to become 'psychotic' or 'psychopathic' to different degrees, and producing different results, one of such is prevalent drug-abuse. Intelligent men cannot always overcome some levels of cognitive dissonance which constantly remind them of a fundamental contradiction or hypocrisy, in service to their specific System. These types become 'obsessed' (obsessive-compulsive disorder) with any Outlet which provides them relief from the stress. They are caught between Loyalty to their sub-group / sub-culture, versus exposing the hypocrisy and contradiction of values which they pledged themselves to. Yet, they do not go so far as to outright divorce themselves from their institutions, as this would expel them from society entirely, and immediately align all associates against them (including family members, who are loyal to larger society).

There are many types of Psychopathy which these Neurotic traits manifest into, especially including 'Asperger' or 'Autistic' diagnoses, which are often confused with very low IQ traits such as mental retardation. This demonstrates the difference between "IQ" (intellectual aptitude) and "EQ" (social aptitude).

Pattern = matter/energy.
All organisms perceive patterns on this level, since they are themselves a unity of patterns - ordering.

Humans perceive patterns in the patterns, so they can categorize perceived patterns into kinds, races/breeds, species, types, etc.
But man can go further and perceive more encompassing patterns e.g., Laws of Nature - encompassing all kinds of matter, energy -  Behavioural patterns - that span species, races, breeds - and Cultural Patterns - spanning all cultures and civilizations, across multiples of generations and across space/time...

Memory is crucial, as is processing speed, sensory acuity, and courage - psychological constitution.

Wisdom, for example, refers to knowledge/understanding that is useful and applicable, necessitating the perception of patterns in data/knowledge we call understanding, accurately determining which is more attainable and which is less so, relative to their projected utility; whereas objectivity simply perceives for the benefit of perceiving: will-less perception called genius; subjectivity being a mind immersed in its will, i.e., its needs, desires, its emotions - primarily fear, existential anxiety; awareness chained/limited and corrupted by organic considerations.

The greatest ranger of intelligence is found ni humans due to sheltering.
The bottom part of the arc of lower humans approaching that of the to the top part in higher species, like chimpanzees or dolphins, whales...
either due to genetics - inheritance of a lower potential, or cowardice, or lack of imagination etc. - or memetics - indoctrination, sheltering, domestication, emasculation etc.
Ergo, manimals: governed by need/desires and entirely encased in subjectivity.

We must keep in mind that inherited potentials need to be cultivated in demanding, challenging environments to be fully developed.
Prolonged sheltering stunts, manifesting collateral consequences, such as a decrease in tolerance of anything demanding and challenging, stressful, over the level of habituation; or a gradual degeneracy of the median, due to bad choice/judgements.

Intelligence can be substituted somewhat for "Quality of Choice" or Natural Selection.

Higher quality or 'superior' decisions lead to survival and greater fitness. Lower quality or 'inferior' decisions lead to injury, lower fitness, or death. Thus 'intelligence' is a type of feedback, reward system, inherent within Biology and across species. Intelligence represents a particular organism's adaptation to its specific environment (Species). In Humanity, this represents different groups and societies of humans that arrange into specific 'sub-cultures', usually corresponding to a set of Functions / Purposes. An example of this is: Militarism. Some groups (ie. males) are attracted to Warfare whereas most others (females) are not. These specializations represent honing of genetic groups, improving the quality, efficiency, and fitness of that function.

Most of Humanity derive their "Meaning in Life" from these specializations, and their (genetic) attraction to some sub-cultures which appeal to them, over all others which do not.


Basically, a greater intelligence will tend to make better decisions/choices (never perfectly, but rather increased probabilities for success). While lower intelligence will tend to make worse decisions/choices, which will then need to be 'redirected' throughout society. A Society that 'tolerates' low intelligence, and low quality decisions, will need to expend more and more amounts of energy, focus, cost, toward alleviating the negative consequences of the low intelligence. Politically, this is represented by "Liberal-Leftism" and Democracy, which gains its political power through the highest Quantity of population, at the direct cost of Quality.

If enough low quality is taken into a society and "tolerated", then its weight accumulates, eventually until society breaks-down. There will come a point where a society, or sub-culture, can no longer afford the cost of these "unfit mutations" or "desperate degenerates", resulting in a breakdown and internal conflict.

Authoritarianism

Authoritarian organizations are especially effective at redirecting the decision-making process upward, to Fit individuals of excessive Quality. This is why Militarism trends directly toward Authoritarianism. It negates or at least nullifies the ability for the Quantity or Mass to make "their own decisions". Rather the soldiers are made to follow and 'Obey'. Their decision-making abilities are largely quelled and suppressed. They might make small decisions, but their faculties revolve around Executive Orders which "come from Above" (from the Highest Quality).

This especially applies to Abrahamism and the major religions of the world. In this, it is much more vivid and immediate. The Christian / Jew / Moslem is not "making decision" of "its own volition", but rather they are all 'Representatives' of their Monotheistic God. They are 'Agents'. Their "Agency" also "comes from Above". Thus they deny any notion of individual 'freedom', but rather 'freedom' is an indication of something or some Entity exterior to it. "God did it!" At the logical and rational end of Determinism, only God can be "Free". If you are not the "Prime Mover Himself", then you absolutely do not have Free-Will.

Thus in the Abrahamic religion / ideology, only the Absolute God, Divine Will, Perfect Entity, has moral agency, and is the "Final Judgment" as to what is 'Good' or what is 'Evil'. Only God decides. All other "decisions" are illusions, they are forced to admit. This is due to the Subliminal indoctrination of Abrahamism, and how it has developed its Slave-Dialectic, Slave-cult, for over 3000 years. This indoctrination is not easily broken, in the same way that a slave escaping from a Southern Plantation in 1800AD, had nowhere to go, and could not "become free" even if he wanted to.

Postmodern Liberalism correctly addresses this concern, and acknowledges its connection to Genetics. Intellectual Quality is genetically heritable, thus, some sections of humanity could not become 'Free' even if all environmental situations were conjured for them. There are some quotients of Intelligence (IQ), Quality, especially in the identification of Self-Consciousness, that individuals, groups, and societies, cannot overcome some limits and barriers. Their "Evolution" stagnates, or has stagnated. You could give them 5000 years, and they'll go nowhere, sitting in a swamp like an alligator or crocodile, without motivation to Change / Improve. This is a failure of the 'Progressive' ideology, a misjudgment of Qualities of Intelligence.

Absolute

'Absolute' represents the upper-limit of an individual's mental / psych(ic) / IQ.

This is how midwits, nitwits, and dimwits conceive 'God', according to their base animal needs combined with their psychological projection.  Ask them to describe/explain God, and they usually expose themselves readily.  A much higher IQ will present much more sophisticated notions, representative of higher capability of thought, rationality, logic, cause & consequence, etc.  Midwits "don't think too much" about it.

Midwits cannot think 'beyond' what he/she conceives as Absolute/Godly/Divine/Immutable.

At the average and lower IQ level, these rationalizations are almost entirely Subjective, and offer no hint of Self-Consciousness, Self-Awareness, or recognizing one's own mental limits.  Thus there is a hard ceiling to IQ, similar as to how 'Animals' are classified separately and apart from 'Man'.  This is also why Christian gnostics and scholastics posit the existence of a human Soul or Spirit, in conjunction with Self-Consciousness as an abstraction (objectification).  This is something that the midwits are unable to grasp, and thus, cling to the more 'childlike' mythology and fantastical artistic representations of the Divine.

Objectivity seems like 'Magic' to the Midwit and Dimwit, below-averages.
