excess energy

In my own life at least,
I've noticed a pattern:
Excess energy and excess health
is the base for charity.
My antidepressant meds make me
feel much better. I notice I'm able
to do little favors more easily.

Gift giving should always be from
the excess, i think.

People that are morally exhausted
can't afford to help others.
They have no excess.

This is basic stuff but i wanted to say it anyway.

My positions have been repeatedly posted and, I think, are clear:

Need = lack, due to flux and the attrition it causes on an organism, necessitating constant replenishment.
If repeatedly successful this replenishing produces excess which can be directed towards healing the consequences of attrition, towards growth, or towards procreation or creative activities.

So, excess is what is required for generosity or any form of purging.
Helping others is an expression of superiority as it exposes excess that can be wasted.

Excess energy is how the brain experiences the body's constant influx of energies.
It is where the god idea emerges.

To me, excess is a sign of the good. Growth, healing, etc.

Good-for, not just metaphysical good.
Good-for the species, the future, the genes, etc.
