Dreams ( Interpretations ) Empty
PostSubject: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptyFri Feb 28, 2014 10:58 am

This post will be dedicated to all things pertaining to dreams.

Can Someone Interpret My Dream?

I had a dream last night where I was located on a University campus. I was at the bottom of a great set of stairs made of concrete ( outside ). There were many college students ( about my age, peers ) who were sittings on the green hill connected to the concrete stairs. I was there, at the bottom, but I felt I could fly. It was an intuitive sensation of possessing the power to fly, so I did just that. At the beginning, I was sort of hovering, levitating, then I gradually increased in velocity as I hovered up over the great concrete stairs connected to the grassy green hill. The students who were sitting on the hill pointed to me in amazement. My arms were extended out like superman as I continued to fly over the stairs at an ever increasing speed. Once I reached the top of the stairs, I flew straight up to the sky at Jet speed - I wasn't stopping. I was heading for space. For some reason, as I was high up in the sky, I let out a battle cry - a loud roar.

The hill was like this, but much, much higher and with students on the sides sitting on the grass. I think I know what the dream meant, but I'd like to hear your interpretations.

Arrogance personified.

Grass = nature
Concrete = human artifices, society, institution.
Stairs = ambition...social hierarchy.

Flight = masculine escape from the feminine earthly...what binds man to reality.

Space = infinite possibility....void. terrifying but full of potential.

Imagination run wild.
Hyper-Masculinity.

Allusion to the ubermensch.
You are he, if only you refuse the social hierarchies, ambitions, and escape your own nature.
Hubris.

Lack of balance.
To climb one needs footing. You reject even the soil, the grass...those who enjoy it by sitting on it: passive.
Content.
They too are outside the social hierarchy.

So much need to be seen flying....them pointing at you escaping the gravity that keeps them down.
Typically adolescent imagery.

Did you actually have that dream? Or did you describe it in flattering terms?
Because usually, from the dreams I have been told about, and my own, they are not that clear and direct, obvious, in their symbology. It's like a caricature.

Yes, I had this dream last night - it was vivid. I have many dreams of this nature - also sleep paralysis which I will elaborate on later.

This stuff works wonders.

Just had a two hour nap. I was on a reality tv show, a kind of survialist competion in a jungle setting. It never started, instead the ship taking us there got lost. It was really bizarre, a sort of boredom within the dream, as if I was forced to endure it all. Totally casual the whole time, but somehow the competiton had unofficially started, and it was assumed that a preselected amount of people would be able to survive. As time went by people started dying, don't remeber any of those details just that none of it was dramatic, and much of it voluntary. I became lucid in the very end, just then the boat returned to the point where it got lost, and there was an other boat going in the exact opposite direction. In it there where competitors whose faces I recognized from the show Survivor that I watched mabey a decade ago.

To Freud, flight and flying fantasies symbolized anxieties of sexual performance - 'getting it up'...
The eagerness to do well can translate into pushing back your peers, and their watchful eyes, their judgements... and psychic activation of initiating confidence into feeling like a man. Part of growing.

It could also mean moving past limiting borders of whatever kind to gain a higher vision, an eagle's view.

Dreams, aren't they mere reflections of your desires, or fears, or memories - an combination?
In a dream, a face you will see - will always be a face you have seen in actual life.

I do not do any trouble to remember my dreams, some i will just do not forget,
or i have had them more often and thus became part of my memories.

About a year ago, i dreamed i was in the Caucasian mountains - large trees, dark green Nature, high on top, the air blue yet with dark clouds.
I was fighting, covering behind a tree, shooting - i went to an more open place and got shot later on on such a spot,
when i was supposed to breathe out my last breath; i woke up. It was a very calm death..

When you die in a dream, the very last moment you will (at least, i) wake up in an instance.

It is simple; i had watched many fighting footage, mainly of the mujahideen in Chechnya,
in combination with my already existing admiration for the Chechens, plus the beautiful Nature the Caucasus has which i had seen on the images,
summing up with an urge to ''just fight'' - resulted in this dream. It had no religious context however.

This isn't my dream but one my father told me about a while ago. I really liked the imagery.

We used to go this park when I was a kid. My father is a bit of a nervous wreck, so going to this park was a way for him to relax and share time with me. The park has this very large open field when you enter it and from this main area there are paths into the woods.

I'll describe it how he described it to me, short and brief.

In the dream, we're heading to the park in his car. But the entrance of the park is guarded by two male lions. But they give us the "go ahead" like "you're OK, you're cool, you're "good to go""... We get into the park now and come to the big open field area. But the field is absolutely packed with hundreds of female lions just lounging around. They weren't a threat or anything. And we just enjoyed the park.

He described the dream in very vivid terms and how impressive a sight the field full of lions was.

''The seen and known are boxed into a specific framework: categorized and controlled to suit societies standards of either a single universalistic approach or individual sight approaches.
Infinity is not part of the known nor seen, but part of the mysterious: hopes, fears, and vague hidden aspects of both the internal sight and external sight.
Imagination relies off of curiosity, and curiosity is due to the mysterious/unknown.
"What is out there?" Or "What lies beyond my vision?" -- This can relate to the internal and external sights in relation to before and after along with the microcosm and macrocosm.
The subconscious and sleep do have a relation and dream reading does relate to life however vague and misplaced it may seem.
Ones dreams tell a story however distorted which relates to one's life, such as ones feelings or thoughts translated into a dreamlike world which tells you how you or others are truly feeling and/or thinking in relation to the events around you or others.
Darkness, the night, fog, abandoned places, fears, and hopes all play off of the mysterious forces which build curiosity.
Knowledge/learning which reaches a specific point destroys curiosity by making all seem/be open/known.
Without a greater vision to expand into beyond your own sight, what reaching path would one go to?
He physical needs of the body along with emotional feelings, and understanding/lifting the veil that covers the unknown from the known, all are tethered down/attached to this world.
The mind itself can reflect/understand or try to understand what is around and within oneself, on an individualistic basis or mass scale, but either way definitions control/shape outlooks:
language itself helps to better understand the world one lives in but shaping it/naming it in certain forms or just by abiding by certain paths and not by others.
Habit is much easier than the disorder of the erratic, but habit brings complacency or boxed in frame which only tightens its grip the longer one follows the road of habit.
Pure consciousness or the force of breath and energy intertwined in intelligent clarity this (to me) is the driving force or spirit within each individual/intelligent being.
The body itself upon death may decompose, be cremated, frozen, or preserved, while the spirit itself will dissipate like veins (if one's life was of turmoil death may either be freedom from life or a ghost/leftover may remain to haunt until things have been restored).
A life spent enslaved, used, abused, and/or discarded is the worst kind of life, while a life of independence, self-assertion, and strict self-discipline (to maintain, refine, and build up unique sight)are meaningful to build internal and external peace.
Too much attachment creates needless worry and is a form of control over your path.
Freedom is no longer being tied down by emotional attachments, attachments to what interests you (something or someone), worry in relation to pushing and pulling forces internal and external.
The quiet, the mysterious, and the dead hold infinite ancestral wisdom, while the known/seen is subject to this world.
The unknown is unseen and infinite.''

I think your dream means you are transcending something foreboding, perhaps some sort of institution. You stated you were at a University campus ( where your peers are sitting on a hill ). You see them above, higher up than you. Are or did you attend college? If not, this 'looking up ' to them could mean that you see them as having superior social-status, compared to yourself. Perhaps you felt insecure about not attending college, but overcame that fear, or anxiety. I think this IS what your dream means, an over-coming, a transcendence, a VICTORY - hence your loud roar or battle cry, once you reached the top.

Dreams ( Interpretations ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptySat Dec 06, 2014 5:10 am

In contrast with my former comment; I have written down words lately referring to three dreams to keep them in mind; one very vague one (which I will describe later), but clear in my memory.

The one I had this morning:

Like a typical hollywood setting of a ''scary'' space; dark, mirrors, sinks and taps.
I had fear, ''demons'' or ''monsters'' (also like those you can find in a movie..) showed up in front of me in the mirror and also behind me; I prayed a prayer which I used often; ''(Here Jezus, Zoon van) God, ontferm U over mij, een zondaar'', have mercy upon me a sinner.
I became angry at myself for using these words, I became more clear in mind and directed my anger towards one of that ''demon'' and grabbed it at its throat to suffocate it and it died.

The evening before I had some anger regarding the concept of ''God'' and my time spend on him in the recent past and thoughts I had about some egalitarian believers on a youtube discussion.
In the beginning of denouncing the existence of ''salvation'' I had to replace these prayers, which became mind-numbing, with ''Good and evil do not exist''.

PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptyTue Jan 20, 2015 8:04 pm

Had a dream a few nights ago... I'm at a zoo and looking into an outside tiger enclosure. I don't see a tiger but I feel a menacing/cruel type presence, which I know is a tiger. At some point I see a leopard trapped in the enclosure. I know if the leopard doesn't get out of there soon the tiger will get him and this an alarming feeling for me(like I can feel the tiger getting closing), so I gesture to the leopard to come to me(almost like you would gesture to a dog)... but he doesn't quite come right away...at some point, however, we manage to "click" and he finally becomes "brave" enough to leap the fence, and he sort of leaps into me... that was it.

Nietzsche wrote:

these tense souls, my taste is hostile to all these retiring types.
And you tell me, friends, that taste and tasting are nothing to be
disputed? But all life is disputing of taste and tasting!
Taste: that is simultaneously weight and scale and weigher, and
woe to all that would live without disputing weight and scale and
weighers!
If he would tire of his sublimity, this sublime one; only then would his
beauty arise – and only then shall I taste him and find him tasteful.
And only when he turns away from himself will he leap over his own
shadow – and truly! into his own sun.

A different translation has the tiger wanting to "leap" and not "spring"

I believe that quote was against Kant and the Kantian sublime:

Quote :
"The perfect application of the categorical imperative leads to Kant’s ‘kingdom of ends’ where every person is treated, not instrumentally (as a means to some other end), but as ends in themselves. Similarly, each moral action and decision is treated as something devoid of interest entirely. For the Kantian, the truly moral act is not interested even in its own morality.

Nietzsche sees this morality-in-itself as symptomatic of the ascetic ideal, of Western decadence, and of the will to nothing that began with Socrates. Rather than a pure and separate morality, free from the fray of the world, Nietzsche will attack Kant’s position (furthered by Schopenhauer 4 ) as the interested desire “to gain release from a torture” (Nietzsche, On the Genealogy of Morals, 106). Nietzsche states that

If our aestheticians never weary of asserting in Kant’s favor that, under the spell of beauty, one can even view undraped female statues “without interest,” one may laugh a little at their expense: the experiences of artists on this ticklish point are more “interesting,” and Pygmalion was in any event not necessarily an “unaesthetic man.” Let us think the more highly of the innocence of our aestheticians which is reflected in such arguments; let us, for example, credit it to the honor of Kant that he should expatiate on the peculiar properties of the sense of touch with the naïveté of a country parson! (Nietzsche, On the Genealogy of Morals, 104).

Putting humor aside (disinterestedly), Nietzsche is making a serious point here. He is arguing that the truly aesthetic experience (that of artists like Pygmalionor Stendhal) cannot be ‘disinterested’. Rather, this disinterestedness is but a poisoned, negating form of interest itself; in its most refined form it is theSchopenhauerean will to nothing. In the wake of the realization that our faculties (of presentation and representation) are inadequate to the aesthetic experience of the sublime, Kant and Schopenhauer recoil. Rather than diving headlong into the experience, as Nietzsche would undoubtedly propose, Kant steps back, removes himself from the unpresentable. He does not ‘experience’ the sublime, rather, his experience is of his own inability to experience the sublime. Kant himself states that

The sublime may be described in this way: It is an object (of nature) the representation of which determines the mind to regard the elevation of nature beyond our reach as equivalent to a presentation of ideas (Kant, The Critique of Judgment, 119).

It is also “what pleases immediately by reason of its opposition to the interest of sense” (Kant, The Critique of Judgment, 118). Yet, “instead of the object, it is rather the cast of the mind in appreciating it that we have to estimate as sublime” (Kant, The Critique of Judgment, 104). So, our experience of the sublime is not an experience of the sublime-object (within which the experience originates), rather it is a removed experience: an experience of our foundational self. Nietzsche sees this sort of removal as precisely the problem. At the very the moment of Kant’s most important realization (one that allows him to ground his ‘metaphysics of morals’) there is an experiential gap. Nietzsche notes:

Ascetic ideals reveal so many bridges to independence that a philosopher is bound to rejoice and clap his hands when he hears the story of all those resolute men who one day said No to all servitude and went into some desert: even supposing they were merely strong asses and quire the reverse of a strong spirit (Nietzsche, On the Genealogy of Morals, 107).

What Nietzsche sees in Kant is not strong independence from Hume, Descartes or the world itself. He sees Kant, like Schopenhauer, recoiling and removing himself from his own realization. Kant’s inability to accept the terrible truth of the world (that it is illusory and unpresentable) forces him to construct (using theHumean faculties he has, ostensibly, rejected) a self that is purely rational, an unmoved mover of sorts: the ultimate philosophical desert. What, then, isNietzsche’s own reaction to the Humean predicament?

Ah, my friend! That your Self be in the action, as the mother is in the child: let that be your maxim of virtue! Truly, I have taken a hundred maxims and your virtues’ dearest playthings away from you; and you scold me now, as children scold. They were playing on the sea-shore – then came a wave and swept their playthings into the deep: now they cry. But the same wave shall bring them new playthings and pour out new coloured sea-shells before them! Thus they will be consoled; and you too, my friends, shall, like them, have your consolations – and new coloured sea-shells! Thus Spoke Zarathustra.” (Nietzsche, Zarathustra, 120).

Amid the prophetic language here, Nietzsche describes the consequences of his argument against Kant (and ascetic ideals in general). We cannot hold fast to our virtues, even our supposedly rationally divined virtues-in-themselves. That is, we cannot treat our actions instrumentally, as means to harmonizing with some rational nature. It is this desire to make our experience ultimately decidable and rational that is, for Nietzsche, the contradiction hidden within Kant’s project. Nietzsche argues that when Kant situates ethical decisions within the realm of disinterestedness he is acting on an interest to escape the problems posed by the aesthetic realization that disinterestedness is a form of interest. Thus, Kant’s work is itself subsumed into the realm of chimera, as is Nietzsche’s. The difference between the two is that Nietzsche affirms the chimeras and illusions instead of denying them. As he mentions in the above quote, let “your Self be in the action.” We should, according to Nietzsche remove the middleman of rationality and maxims in general (hundreds of which he has taken from us) and learn only to create rather than discover."
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

From there on, you can see how the tiger metaphor and the 'leap' is consistent in N. again in TSZ:

Nietzsche wrote:
]Shy, ashamed, awkward, like a tiger whose leap has failed: thus I have often seen you slink aside, you higher men. A throw had failed you. But, you dice-throwers, what does it matter! You have not learned to gamble and jest as one must gamble and jest! Do we not always sit at a big jesting-and-gaming table? And if something great has failed you, does it follow that you yourselves are failures? And if you yourselves are failures, does it follow that man is a failure? But if man is a failure—well then!" [TSZ, On the Higher Man, 14]

The aesthetic sublime or the sublimation of needs into creative pursuits is not the overcoming of the body, but its fullest participation and real-ization - "The sovereign And the beast.

"That your Self be in the action, as the mother is in the child: let that be your maxim of virtue!"

The rest is Xt. for the Xts.

PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptyFri Jan 23, 2015 12:38 pm

But what about the leopard and the obvious connection to Dionysus? The tiger is conquered. The leopard is the most agile big cat. Dionysus rides the leopard without being torn up. Why doesn't Nietzsche explicitly mention the leopard unless we assume he is referring to the leopard when he uses the term panther and not as a general term for big cats? The "cruelty" of Dionysus is lighter than the tiger, a cruelty that is beyond actual physical involvement without denying the cruelty of nature?

" A fierce tiger was created in sacrificial fires, and rushed upon him; but smiling gently, he seized it and, with the nail of his little finger, stripped off its skin, and wrapped it about himself like a silken cloth" -The Dance of Śiva: Fourteen Indian Essays

" Out of your wild cats must tigers have evolved, and out of your
poison-toads, crocodiles: for the good hunter shall have a good hunt!" -TSZ

The tiger is always re-conquered. And becomes(evolves into) a leopard?

Otto has this to say:

Quote :
"Ever since the Augustan Age, Roman writers, following, of course, the Greek tradition, like to name the lynx as a beast of Dionysus. This animal had been native to Greece from a very early time and is still found there today. The panther or leopard, and the lynx (the tiger, too, is added in the references out of Roman literature) have that very thing in common which justifies comparing them in more than one respect with the nature and actions of the maenads. This makes itself felt most in the panther, which was, after all, the most loyal attendant of the god. Of all the cats devoted to Dionysus, it was not only the most graceful and fascinating but also the most savage and bloodthirsty. The lightning-fast agility and perfect elegance of its movements, whose purpose is murder, exhibit the same union of beauty and fatal danger found in the mad women who accompany Dionysus. Their savagery, fascinates those who watch them, and yet it is the eruption of the dreadful impulse to pounce on the prey, tear it into pieces, and devour its flesh raw. We are told that the leopard and the lynx are the most murderous of all the larger beasts of prey. Many more victims must bleed to death under their teeth than would be needed for their sustenance. And when one hears that a female leopard which is suckling her young is the bloodthirstiest of all the carnivores, one cannot help thinking of the maenads who were also nursing mothers." [Walter Otto, Dionysos]

Truth is crooked.

And it cannot be grasped without agility, the zig-zag of the lightning, where body and spirit move as one unit.

In the previous post, N. metaphorized aesthetic sublimation as the Mother [Body] being in the Child [spirit], against the retardation of Kant's Xt. splitting.

"I AM the Action."  no difference between doer and deed, etc.

The Maenads stand for the edge and the borderline - the crook in the crookedness where the differentiation between violence and nurture co-exist as One Love, before the differentiation into I and my action occurs.

You could say the leap of the leopard is like that Dionysian Spontaneity that springs too fast to differentiate between violence and nurture.

Lukacher's book 'Time Fetishes' is a very interesting one - where he reads N. along with Plotinus and Freud in regard to the leap...

Quote :
"Bataille summarizes the central problem that concerns Lukacher: consciousness is an anguished separation experience that cannot marry Being and becoming. For Bataille, the leap into becoming is Dionysian (intoxicating, erotic, ecstatic, frenzied): “I dissolve into myself like the sea”. Afterward, however, one necessarily returns to a state of individuality and separateness: to a condition of particular Being denied access to Dionysian experience except by way of contrivances like art (lyric poetry, painting, symphonic music, etc.). Experience, then, is a consciousness of the difference between Being and becoming that is reminiscent of Jacques Lacan’s concept of alienation, in which having one thing comes at the price of not having another. For Bataille, alienation either from Being or from becoming is traumatic, since both conditions lack something. The Dionysian consciousness experiences ecstatic feelings but lacks their objectification and recoverability; the Apollonian consciousness experiences selfobjectification and knowledge but lacks emotional dynamism and continuity. Bataille argues that to be suspended in this difference is suffering, because Being and becoming are fundamentally wedded, despite our inability to experience them as such.

Lukacher touches on this aspect of suffering when he discusses Titian’s Bacchus and Ariadne (1523), handsomely reproduced on the cover of Time-Fetishes. A detail depicts Bacchus leaping rather awkwardly from his chariot to make his way to Ariadne, who has just been abandoned by Theseus. According to Lukacher, Titian’s painting was known to Nietzsche and may have been fateful for the theory of eternal return. The painting is an allegory of the rapprochement between Being and becoming in which Bacchus is the personification of Being and Ariadne the personification of becoming. The interest in this painting, Lukacher says, is to be found in Bacchus’s leap from his chariot as described in late antiquity by Ovid, since this leap represents “the active principle that cause[s] Being to spring toward the world of becoming”. In short, the painting is “an esoteric allegory of eternity’s longing for time and time’s longing for eternity”. In leaping toward and fixing his gaze on Ariadne, Bacchus pulls her “back from an imminent nothingness and into the cymbal-filled din of the bacchanal”. In Friedrich Hölderlin’s account, too, Dionysus serves as an interpretant for Titian’s painting:

“Is not Hölderlin’s point that Dionysus is an allegory of the movement of the starry cosmos that brings the immensity of the natural world into some relation with human history? The leap is a kind of dance, and the dance is an allegory of the disruptive and unsettling relation of the time of universal nature to the time of human existence”. As such, Dionysus is a khôragus, or choral conductor, who leads the universal motion of the heavens, a figure that ties into Lukacher’s prior analysis of Plotinus, in which the khôragus “names a tremendous reserve or reservoir from whence springs the gift . . . the emergent event of Being that Heidegger calls Ereignis”. In observing this connection, we see the extent to which the analyses in Time-Fetishes are interrelated. That said, it should be pointed out that Titian’s painting, like Plotinus’s khôragus, is a time-fetish that instantiates the formalization and stabilization of a painful contradiction between the eternal and the evanescent: the fact that they cancel each other out even as they require one another for completeness." [/size]

Regarding the nail, its a symbolism of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], just like the Maenads were.

There is a better book than Coomaraswamy's Dance of Siva; you should read David Shulman's 'God Inside Out: Siva's Game of Dice'.

Dreams ( Interpretations ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptyMon Apr 13, 2015 1:21 am

Dream: I find myself in the environment of some giant crocodile. There's a river and it's all very damp and green. He doesn't like that I'm in his home, and I can sort of hear him talking to me in my head as I try to evade him. He sounds very charming(but he's still coming after me nevertheless, so still hostile)... I realize the only way to escape is to increase elevation. So I start to climb these rocks and it's very mossy. It gets steeper and steeper and finally the crocodile can no longer keep up with me and falls away. I keep climbing and reach this really large statue of a head(big like those Olmec stone heads). It looks like the head of a minotaur but with small horns like this (http://www.christies.com/lotfinderimages/D53217/a_greek_bronze_minotaur_archaic_period_circa_520-500_bc_d5321777h.jpg)... It's not stone but some sort of metal and I feel very connected with it(hard to describe... like it was condensed spirit or something and emanating energy,)...Anyways, I keep climbing (I literally climb over the head) and get to another level and there's another big head... This one looks more like a human but with big eyes(almost like those big alien eyes)... The head is also slightly smaller than the minotaur head, but despite being smaller the energy felt even "higher" or more "evolved"...As if it was a natural step up from the minotaur( as a way of being or something)... I eventually leave that head and the dream becomes ordinary and I wake up...

A dream I had some nights ago (still have to connectively write down others I had)

A beautiful big butterfly was catched in a spider’s web; I took a lot of trouble to free it and clean its wings from the sticky threads; that was the main activity in the whole dream; afterwards it transformed into a flying squirrel / fret (something like it) with still its colourful patterns on its fur, I released it eventually in the garden but it started to rain very heavy, I agreed with its decision to return in my home (childhood home) and saw that the remaining threads were washed away. That was more or less the ending and I noticed its sudden transformation in my memory.

You've felt/saw, became aware of something beautiful, precious, but you could not hold unto it; you cannot bring it into focus.

You've caught a glimpse of its fragility, but when you tried to grasp it it turned into an elusive creature and jumped away.
Now reality threatens it...
You are afraid it wasn't what it appeared to be from afar.

You fear that it will die out there, and you will never find it again.

The connection may prob. go in the reverse order: Gilgamesh and the sumerian bull cult - Mithras - Gargoyles.

Dreams ( Interpretations ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptyTue May 05, 2015 8:21 am

Some nights ago I experienced a dream within a dream.

The first dream I had was of me going back to elementary school, with my class discussing some class-related business. Even in the dream, I had a degree of self-awarenes and I found the entire thing somewhat peculiar - I'm a college student now, what am I doing back in elementary school with my old class? I voiced my discontent and wonderment out-loud in the classroom, but everybody thought I was crazy and became extremely hostile towards me, even frightened of me. I didn't like the atmosphere anymore, so with the little self-awareness I had, I tried to wake up, and I thought I did, but unwittingly I only entered

the second dream. This one felt much stranger than the first after actually waking up, despite feeling more real during the dream itself. In the second dream I fooled myself that I woke up, but that I was asleep for 10 months and that it was Christmas already (I know Christmas isn't exactly 10 months away, it's a friggin dream). I asked my parents how the fuck could I have slept for 10 months, but nobody seemed to be surprised except me. I asked them how was it possible for me to survive 10 months without food or water, just sleeping, they responded that my body went into some vegetative state or something, that they had a doctor check me and he said it was nothing unusual or to be concerned about. As all of this was occurring, my self-awareness was growing - I was becoming increasingly aware that this was only another dream, though not fully. The thought of sleeping for 10 months terrified me for some reason - it was like a part of my life was taken that I would never be able to live through again. Just as I was about to ask what became of my studies, and is really nobody surprised that I slept for 10 months, my self-awareness grew enough for me to become aware that I'm partaking in a dream, or rather, a nightmare. I began mentally struggling and tried to shake and move my body (real life body) with my mind alone, and whether I succeeded or not I managed to wake up.

This isn't the first time it happened to me. Some years ago I had 4 dreams like this, and each time I thought I woke up, when in reality (or rather, in a dream) I just entered another dream. I wrote the content of those dreams down somewhere, so I might put them here as well later on.

Now that I think about it, it's odd that as a child I used to dream more and was almost always self-aware in dreams to a higher degree than I am now. I could choose what to do in a dream, to an extent, and I remember even attempting to choose what to dream about, to have lucid dreams.

PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptyTue May 05, 2015 8:33 am

Stress over lost time, and not living in the real world, or to your fullest potential.

Christmas, a date relating to spiritual birth.
A Christian symbol.
Birth of hope.

Dreams are the processing of stimuli that could not be integrated into a cohesive mental model.
It is why dreams are more vivid for children.
It is also why dreams are very metaphorical, jumbled, do not seem to make sense.

Dreams are also how issues are dealt with that cannot be dealt with in the conscious state.

An inability to process and integrate data.

Dreams ( Interpretations ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptySun Jun 21, 2015 10:37 am

It wasn't as intense of an experience as the previous, and I don't remember it in detail.

I was in the city square, running, trying to catch my tram home. It was night, the rain was pouring, and my feet were bare. But I was late, and the tram began to move. Luckily, the driver saw me and stopped for a second, and I was able to enter. The tram was almost empty, aside from a few shady characters who didn't seem to mind each other, but all of them stared at me. I wasn't frightened, nor did I perceive the situation as eerie. All of them had clothes which were ripped apart, like they escaped from somewhere, and then I noticed that my are, too. I almost felt... at home.
Then I was walking home, but it was in the middle of a day (the trip usually takes half an hour, so this was impossible). I was going down this street in which I played and walked through a lot, in childhood. But for some reason, walking was exhausting... I don't recall why. I stressed my muscles to their limits, yet I barely moved. I noticed that there is some rain/snow on the ground, but just a little, surely not enough to hinder my movement to the extent it did. My walk was soon reduced to a crawl, and my energy reserves were depleting, fast. I had almost reached the end of the street, but I had another, equally long one to pass through to get home. I knew I could never make it.

Then I thought I woke up for a short time, but I really didn't. This second dream is weird, because it is based on a real event that happened some months ago:

What happened is, there was a huge, green grasshopper which entered my room. I felt something on my forearm for a moment, then I woke up and thought it was nothing, but then I saw a huge, really fucking huge (like a finger), grasshopper on the clock on the wall, some meter and a half above me. At first I was uneasy, because I didn't know what it is. When I realized it was a grasshopper, I decided to let it be.

That's the real event. Now the dream was based on this, but this time it was an even bigger bug, a huge green mantis, long like a human hand. It's funny, because I've initially perceived the grasshopper to be a mantis, the first second I saw it, before I came to my senses. I don't recall what emotions the mantis in the dream evoked in me... I don't think there were any, at all... then I woke up.

Dreams ( Interpretations ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptySat Aug 01, 2015 11:37 am

A strange dream I had today; a mingling of ‘I am’ and a 3th person perspective.
It has to do at least with this video I watched and commented on before going to sleep;

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

with all those pathetic European ‘’nationalists’’ and their dislike for Jews not because of ‘OUR’ reasons we already have, but to ‘’strengthen’’ their justification of dislike through pointing out the ‘’suffering of Palestinians’’ and not only pointing that out, but ‘feeling sympathy' to them.
Those Palestinians aren't our people and if you enter a discussion with a Palestinian immigrant (on Youtube) about the many non-Whites living in White countries (their occupation of our land, and our occupied minds) - they justify our demographic replacement by ideological means (multiculturalism) or that it aren’t' our countries because we ''stole'' it from "natives" , even exceeding the borders (all White people are responsible for that). I do not care about their misfortune and suffering; I have done that for a little while for the reasons I now point out to others, is a mistake – we do not need ‘’justification’’, nor hate for the Jews as they are in a way a means of self-consciousness (without the propaganda, I never would have felt to study racial and overall human behaviour; why we are unequal – to explain others; though of course I imagine myself in other times with more nobler people and ideals, how would it be, options taken away from me in many regards).

My troll comment though nobody took the bait:

Quote :
Shabbat Shalom!

RT exploits through pity-entertainment and makes use of your goy, feel-good hypocritical, worthless empathy, as worthless as your indiscriminate love for all.

Mazel Tov Smile

Anyway, the dream took me with faces I had met in Israel and the general Orthodox Jews you can encounter anywhere without distinction among them (between it is, different branches of Orthodoxy); in a city alike to the setting of old Jerusalem’s appearance (so no modern buildings and everything was in light desert-sand colour), though high strong walls, as if resurrected. I was learning to bake bread there and suddenly I was among the soldiers, fighting ‘’terrorists’’, Muslims. There was a small narrow passage (to do maybe with when I was in Jerusalem, the old Ottoman walls are forbidden to walk on, but I met people who took me to a place where you can enter through a gap and climb-up) through the thick wall, protecting it from being used as a means of invading the city. Suddenly I was on the opposite side; a lot of switching from 1st to 3th person perspectives, but I was preparing to invade the narrow passage through the wall, I sent one to suicide-bomb himself, squeezing through the thick wall’s passage, I became him, then again 3th person and saw him shooting around him and at loss exploded screaming ‘’Allahu Akbar’’.

Then I was again on the side of the Jews (though never was one of them, neither sides); on a higher part of the city, a wall, distant from the broken through passage – I could shoot them and did, on the other side of the tower-bridge on which I was on, they were out of reach but I not from them in an opposite tower, but eventually they came down (the exploded passage was like a bait) and I killed them. Then suddenly I was there where I shot from distance, on the place where they came down the tower, all went well until one came with a hostage (do not remember the importance of the hostage to me, nor the gender); with a knife to his/her throat. All modern weapons were replaced with old fashioned weapons; while holding the hostage, I tried to counter attack but I was pushed back towards the edge to fall in the depth. People screamed to me they would get help, and so there was.

They had a most beautiful, fair naked woman with brunette hair; they offered her to the one who was threatening me from kicking me off the plateau facing death. He accepted, I felt anger and the feeling that I rather died by his hand. In some manner, the woman and I had no [conscious] past yet there was, as if they took her away from me. All former happenings are gone, no more Jews, Muslims or city – I, him and the woman; and a cliff-passage. That is all.
He leaves with the woman and I chased them, a long narrow cliffy (canyon depth) ‘’bridge’’ (still the colour of desert), long linear forward and then to the left (half-a-square linear). There were black barred iron gates, and the one who now became hunted by me with the woman, was trapped between two of them, I could not open one and he not another after the one through which he already passed; I had a long thin iron rod and tried to kill him; I succeeded to stab him in the back and blood flowed – while doing so, the beautiful naked woman pleaded me to leave, to leave them alone but I went on. The gates opened and they fled and I chased; till the very end of the cliff-bridge with another tower-plateau. We had spears and fought, I succeeded with not too much trouble to push him off from the small plateau upon which the tower stood.
Now I took the woman with me back from where I came (straight forward and then to the right), at the crossing-point (the linear turn), the centre of the cliff-bridge, there stood another such a tower with a small plateau, though higher as if on a hill (even though the passage is in general narrow), a strategic place. While going there (on our way back) with the woman who mourned his death and did not want to go with me, something inside of me told me that he would return, he prayed to the gods I told myself for revenge and so it was; the name of Ares came from my lips and I became hunted. From the place where it all started, where he became hunted by me at the iron barred gates he was resurrected, a great distance (I saw him from such a distance and felt I would loose this time); both I and he went towards the chapel-like-tower at the cross-point centre (thus he wanted with the woman to go opposite and I wanted to return from where it all started - after another fight of course), but I was first. Now all became 3th person perspective again; he had one man and a woman with him, the woman had a bow and climbed upon the roof but the resurrected man called her back, another man, big, innocent of any experience in fighting, was curious to enter the chapel-tower. The resurrected man said to his companion ‘not too long ago he (I) was a man to whom many men kneeled before him (me - though I never was absolutely ''me'')..’ As to warn him. He came inside the chapel-like-tower and a circled plateau in the centre was in front of him, he was afraid yet curious and took a step and back repeatedly until he dared to stand. The stone disk went up, a small arena for us (all consciousness about the others, including the woman I captured, was gone). There were suddenly rules in regards to fighting, we would start with wrestling and he came with full weight but I had a technique to use it against him (at camp 8-9 weeks ago I learned this). He lost but there was no hostility, I tried to explain him why he had lost.

I woke up.

PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptyWed Sep 09, 2015 6:36 pm

For some reason I had this dream with very much anger; even though I didn't discuss or think about this subject these days, or in general. Not even the word I use, almost never.

Just what I remember is that I was shouting with an great agression towards people, specifically a spoiled "feminist looking" woman, shout-explaining the system(s) and repeatedly used the word "patriarchy" with an even greater anger, used in the context that they are protected by this current system yet how there is not really a rule by actual men. "Patriarchy, patriarchy, patriarchy?!"
I woke up and while this happend I shouted in my dream and in silence my mouth opened in the manner of angerly shouting and bit my sheets and released salvia.

I am a little bit irritated with stomach sickness, the to me extremely hot weather, wisdom tooth coming out - maybe need some release of agression.

PostSubject: Re: Dreams ( Interpretations ) Dreams ( Interpretations ) EmptyTue Nov 03, 2015 9:59 pm

Dream from a couple month ago:

It's night and I find myself in a heavily forested suburban neighborhood.  But it's not a normal forest, it's a redwood forest.  The trees themselves, however, were almost black, with maybe a tinge of red.  And they were sort of ushering me on as I advanced down the road.  There was a deep, somber beauty to being there.  I never experience the "night" in such a way before.  It was also unusual (although it felt fine at the time) that each lawn would have its own redwood tree or two.  Anyways, I finally get to this one house and the garage door is open.  All I see is black.  Someone mentions its a river ride and it goes below... and something about the number seven.  I was too terrified to enter.  That's it.

You can do this on your own.
What does the red/black coloration mean....or the redwood signify, for you?

7 signifies awakening, in numerology, and in the Bible, completeness, but that is secondary to what meaning the number has for you.
Dreams are personal.
Sometimes they relate to universal themes, but other times they are based on personal narratives.
