Rhea on the Tri-pod…

With one foot in the heavens, one foot in the air, and one foot into the grounds,
our Rheality branches (/from) everywhere.

What is Rheason is the h*Ar-monization of the three planes, the three gunas or strands of nature:
Passion, Reason, Appetite respectively.

Such a h*ar-monization born out of tensions strives for. "the best fit", "excellent fit"...

Our Rheason is Ar-Bow-Real.

In homage to Priests and Druids and the Seers, who understood Truth and wisdom and knowledge through the sanctuary of the T(h)rees, our Rheason is also a homage to earth, and this Arboreality.
It is perhaps not incidental, grove-sanctuaries were *harbors, derived from *heri "army, host" - warbands, raiders, riders of the storm…
Rhea was not only the mother of Zeus, the god of lightning and fair order, but also his harbor.

Quote :
"Rhea is the Titaness daughter of the earth goddess Gaia and the sky god Uranus, in Greek mythology and sister and wife to Cronus. In early traditions, she is strongly associated with Gaia and Cybele, who have similar functions.

Most ancient etymologists derived Rhea ('Ρέα) by metathesis from έρα "ground", although a tradition embodied in Plato and in Chrysippus connected the word with ῥέω (rheo), "flow", "discharge", which is what LSJ supports. Alternatively, the name Rhea may be connected with words for the pomegranate, ῥόα, later ῥοιά.

The "Navel Stone" of Delphi, The rock in which Rhea wrapped in a sheet to trick Cronus into thinking he was devouring his child, Zeus..

In myths dating to the classical period of Ancient Greece (510-323 BC), the site of Delphi was believed to be determined by Zeus when he sought to find the centre of his "Grandmother Earth" (Ge, Gaea, or Gaia). He sent two eagles flying from the eastern and western extremities, and the path of the eagles crossed over Delphi where the omphalos, or navel of Gaia was found."

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The stone of Delphi was the first (he)artifice to self-knowledge, as the mirror-double of Zeus.

Chronic time limits becoming - growth and decay; it is the saturnalia of immobile "eternity", the "golden" moment, the "effortless" moment.
This is an Annihilism.

To stand against Chronic time requires the Courage for Inventions, a heart for art;

"Life can only be justified as an aesthetic phenomenon." [Nietzsche]

Rheason before reason...

Nietzsche wrote:
"Increase in "dissimulation" proportionate to the rising order of rank of creatures. It seems to be lacking in the inorganic world-- power against power, quite crudely-cunning begins in the organic world; plants are already masters of it. The highest human beings, such as Caesar, Napoleon (Stendhal's remark on him)," also the higher races (Italians), the Greeks (Odysseus); a thousandfold craftiness belongs to the essence of the enhancement of man- Problem of the actor.

My Dionysus ideal- The perspective of all organic functions, all the strongest instincts of life: the force in all life that wills error; error as the precondition even of thought. Before there is "thought" there must have been "invention"; the construction of identical cases, of the appearance of sameness, is more primitive than the knowledge of sameness." [WTP, 544]

Nietzsche wrote:
"...life on the largest scale has actually always shown itself to be on the side of the most unscrupulous polytropoi." [JW, 344]

Nietzsche wrote:
"...it loves error, because, being alive, it loves life." [BGE, 24]

Before there was fire, there was stone, and before there was stone and riverbed, there was the river of time, of mime…

Wherever there is a h*ar-monizing, the tensest Bow, there is also a Liar, and a Lyre…, a resonance and heightened sensitivities -
The flow (rhea) carries with it a murmuration...

To cultivate the soil a little; note:

syringe:
"narrow tube for injecting a stream of liquid," early 15c. from Late Latin syringa, from Greek syringa, accusative of syrinx "tube, hole, channel, shepherd's pipe," related to syrizein "to pipe, whistle, hiss," from PIE root *swer- (susurration). Originally a catheter for irrigating wounds…"

susurration:
"a whispering, a murmur," c. 1400, from Latin susurrationem, from past participle stem of susurrare "to hum, murmur," from susurrus "a murmur, whisper," a reduplication of the PIE imitative base *swer- (2) "to buzz, whisper" (source also of Sanskrit svarati "sounds, resounds," Greek syrinx "flute," Old Church Slavonic svirati "to whistle," Lithuanian surmo "pipe, shawm," German schwirren "to buzz," Old English swearm "a swarm").

To sit on a Tri-pod, is essentially a euphemism for the Overman, who,
like a syringe, pulls up (the standards of) Humanity along with him, with his roots firmly injected into the soil, and irrigates the chronic wounds of time...

He renews the trust in life.

The self-limited see things selfish-ly, and thus imagine, the other must do so as well.
The flight of fancy, as if every space could be accessible, experiencable, empathizable is the downfall of the Icarus hubris.

To judge, without reservation for exceptions lower And higher than one, shows a strong need for self-comfort and consolation.

The symbol for infinity is like a wave that surges ahead, through upsurge and downsurge, beyond pleasure and pain, and then doubles back beyond pleasure and pain to whatever degree…
It is a degree, for in reality, there are no closed-loops as in the symbol.

This degree of to And fro is a symptom of one's health, one's well-being, one's robustness, one's elasticity…, never reaching completion.
Our sense of self, our 'centre' of gravity from which we draw esteem, integrity, is a formation off this elastic process between dionysian waves and apollonian webs, eddies and edifices;

eddy:
Scottish ydy, possibly related to Old Norse iða "whirlpool," from Proto-Germanic *ith- "a second time, again," which is related to the common Old English prefix ed- "again, backwards; repetition, turning" (forming such words as edðingung "reconciliation," edgift "restitution," edniwian "to renew, restore," edhwierfan "to retrace one's steps," edgeong "to become young again")."

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Our degree of health is a measure of passion, our spirit to power, the Voluptuousity for life that is down to the inorganic world, our spiritual courage from which reason is born, and ought to be born.

Such a reason is Rheason, 'h' - with the health inside, that then doubles-back with objective discrimination, with nuanced knowledge, elevating that ground of passion, our unconsciousness in this process…

Every progress of rheason is accompanied by an upheaval of our unconscious resources.

Under-currents shape rock-piling, shape structures, and these edifices in turn steady the eddy.

The degree to which our conscious and unconscious lift each other together, determines how Edgy we are, how self-differential - the ability to hold diverse and contradictory currents, diverse facets, that we are able to separate into gulfs, without their breaking away into atomic opposities. When this happens, we may say, there is an Apollo-sublimated-Dionysian-Af-firmation.

A healthy Intelligence is the h*ar-monization of,

- the Unconscious lust for life, vigour and T(h)rust of animal intelligence - hypersensitivity, and,

- the Conscious sieve of Rheason driven to finer efficiency, to refinement, to self-integrity.

Unlike, the VOt Subjectivists or the Enlightenment Objectivists, we do not say that the Unconscious is "already" superior and valuable, or the conscious "alone" is superior and valuable…

The Infinite surge-to-power is a relentless elasticity - i.e. Buoyancy towards the *best-fit, born of maximum orthogonal confrontation of to-And-fro ebb and flow.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

It is why Heraclitus says in a fragment about the harmonia of bow and lyre:

Heraclitus wrote:
"οὐ ξυνιᾶσιν ὅκως διαφερόμενον ἑωυτῶι ὁμολογέει· παλίντροπος ἁρμονίη ὅκωσπερ τόξου καὶ λύρης.

"They do not comprehend how a thing agrees at variance with itself; it is a harmoniē turning back on itself, like that of the bow and the lyre." [B51]

In the Ṛig Veda, in a remarkable hymn to Bṛhaspati - the Jupiter, the Priest, the Seer of the Gods, also provides an image of a ṛtá-possessing Bow and Lyre:
[Rta is equivalent to the Greek Harmony here.]

Rig Veda wrote:
"ṛtájyena k̥ tájyen bráhmaena pátir
yátra vátra prá tád aśnoti dhánvanā
tásya sādhvī́r íādhv yā́bhir ásyati
nṛcáknāag dŕ̥ śáye kárśáyeāag b

"The lord of the sacred formulation, with his swift bow whose string is ṛtá [harmony] – where he wishes, there he reaches.
To him belong the straight flying arrows [= the hymns] with which he shoots – [arrows] to be seen, drawing the gaze of men, and whose womb is the ear." [RV 2.24.8, tr. after Jamison and Brereton 2014]

In other words, unlike the VOts, who posit inventions and artifice and subjective creativity as an ends in itself,
or En.-Rationalists, who posit reason and facts and objective costs/caution as an ends in itself,

the Ar-bow-rhealist, whose knowledge begins from (he)Artifice, from inventions, positing semblances, errors, necessary abstractions and logic to get a hang of life, does not just stop there, with the Bow-as-the-Liar,

but doubles back, turns upon itself, to look back upon itself, shedding light on its source, the (he)Art from which the self stands as its own invention, finds and fine-tunes its self, the Bow-as-the-Lyre.

To become God is to attain to this Infinite-Surge-to-power - the most recurring buoyancy of to-And-fro, turning upon and over itself, over and over.

This is partly what Heraclitus means when he utters, "I searched myself… / The way up and the way down are one and the same."

Eddy<>Edifice: As above, So below

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

What is edifice in the vertical world-view, is the infinite eddy in the horizontal world view.
Higher the elastic tension between self and reality, higher the as-Spiration… elevation of man.

Our relation to gods that are our inventions, idols born of our highest ideals, are like the side-rails to stairways, that we eventually forget and let go, by sublimating them into our self-t(h)rust.
It doubles back into our instinctual/spontaneous confidence with which we ascend and descend life;
we desert nothing, we forgetters…

Consider how such mirroring is a crucial phase in the development of child-maturity, its sense of self-t(h)rust…
The "self is its own support" means,
People with utmost pride, like creating things right from scratch,, from 'Blanks', will to generate their own multi-directional tensions, by living on The Edge of cathodes and anodes, to become self-conductors, to generate one's own current, diamond and dynamite;
one's own sun and river,
under which T(h)rees are born…
worlds and harbors are born...
a he-arty victory.

Rhealysms Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rhealysms Rhealysms EmptySun Sep 04, 2016 6:22 pm

A self emerges as a result of a multiplicity of drives' "for-and-against" with other entities. These for-and-againt competing/cooperating with other entities integrate into a unit, a harmony or congruence, a sense of self. The self as an emergence of a series of "for-and-against":

Nietzsche wrote:
"No things remain but only dynamic quanta, in a relation of tension to all other dynamic quanta: their essence lies in their relation to all other quanta, in their "effect" upon the same. The will to power not a being, not a becoming, but a pathos-the most elemental fact from which a becoming and effecting first emerge...

This necessary perspectivism by virtue of which every center of force-and not only man--construes all the rest of the world from its own view- point, i.e., measures, feels, forms, according to its own force-  it is being specific, definitely acting and reacting thus and thus, as may be the case. Perspectivism is only a complex form of specificity.

My idea is that every specific body strives to become master over all space and to extend its force (-its will to power:) and to thrust back all that resists its extension. But it continually encounters similar efforts on the part of other bodies and ends by coming to an arrangement ("union") with those of them that are sufficiently related to it: thus they then conspire together for power. And the process goes on-" [WTP, 635-38]

Subjectivists, Process-Experientialists and Pan-psychists resort to turning that "pathos" into a "feeling", a "pre-sentience", a "pre-hension", an emotional contagion, a proto-conscious, while no such exists.

What exists and what can only exist are Symptoms of states of tensions we call health or dis/ease:

Nietzsche wrote:
"Judgments, judgments of value, concerning life, for it or against it, can, in the end, never be true: they have value only as symptoms, they are worthy of consideration only as symptoms; in themselves such judgments are stupidities. One must by all means stretch out one’s fingers and make the attempt to grasp this amazing finesse, that the value of life cannot be estimated." [TOI]

What is prior even to patterns are Positions.

What we can say utmost, down to the inorganic world are positions: op-positions and ap-positions of forces - com-positions of power.

That the evolution of organic life first produced senses, and consciousness as its co-ordination as a later development, tell us, that what we detect prior to patterns as such are Positions, or what we detect as patterns is Positions.

Positions explain our picture of rank-Orderings and hierarchies of drives, and therefore, what we sense at bottom are positions-become-pattern in consciousness.

It also explains why at the epigenetic level, even after the shutting of the conscious mind, we Sense pre-dispositions that Is "us", not as something static or given, but always pro-posing, forth-putting, stretching, tending, venturing, till countered, resisted by other pro-positions.

"To push, drive," from PIE *pel- (6) "to thrust, strike, drive" is a Pulse.
Pre-dispositions are such Impulses;
a State [status, position] of continual beating, vibrating, pushing, asserting, striking, attains to a Rate - of becoming, where the inorganic and organic world differentiate out.
The self emerges as the fortuitous/creative cohesion of such clashes, from a chaos of clashing chances.

A pro-position that is stretched, "unbroken continuance of some activity", that tends till checked, becomes a direction, a spread…  a web of power.
A power-full stretch - i.e., to be stretched tight, is what is tense and taut and what we call a 'string', like the string of a bow… an intent.

Power composing/stretched into a form, an intent, is what we mean by will-to-power.

An intentional proposition is another word for design, purpose, craft.

Together, we thus have a State-Craft.

An art of government, a Bearing - a behavior, a style that pronounces our character from which are born our ideals;
the habits we inhabit become our habitat.
The pulses that strike, push, beat, and press hard, ex-press urgency, our urges, our "impulse" - literally what is hard-pressed, what abides...
Abiding attains to abode;
What is hard-pressed, locked in-place - im-posed, Remains.

What remains, becomes our manor, our manner,
method, ordering...

Direction evolves to Design in the conscious world, and is meaningful as such only here, and cannot be retropolated back into the inorganic world, where direction has no context and is a non-sense. There is only a quanta of power, com-positions-to-power.

Nietzsche wrote:
"Man, who forms language, does not perceive things or vents, but impulses: he does not communicate sensations, but merely copies of sensations. The sensation, evoked through a nerve impulse, does not take in the thing itself: this sensation os presented externally through an image. But the question of how an act of the soul can be presented through a sound image must be asked. If completely accurate representation is to take place, should the material in which it is to be represented, above all, not be the same as that in which the soul works? However, since it is something alien - the sound - how then can something come forth more accurately as an image? It is not the things that pass over into consciousness, but the manner in which we stand toward them, the pithanon [power of persuasion (plausibility; also a thing producing illusion)]. The full essence of things will never be grasped." [21, 23]

The Rank-differential pathos-of-distance of our drives is what we call our character-Style.

(He)Art thus reveals, the manner in which things stand, and the manner in which we stand toward things.
Sculptures, Gods in various postures reveal Attitude; which is to say, art reveals back our heart.

Our status, how we stand to things is a posture, a measure of our courage and our passion, our pathos of power, our Uprightness, our Upstanding-ness, our Arboreal-ity...

Nietzsche wrote:
"With every increase of greatness and height in man, there is also an increase in depth and terribleness: one ought not to desire the one without the other- or rather: the more radically one desires the one, the more radically one achieves precisely the other." [WTP, 1027]

Positions are local/relative reflections of dynamic strengths of forces - strong/faint and not some "fixed orientation" from a God's eye view or any privileged perspective.

The word Pattern refers to a design;
designs are what emerge from interpretation of attraction/repulsion or ap-position and op-position of forces that act up on/against each other. What we have Primarily are therefore stances of relative positional intensities (pathos), that are abstracted into patterns - in-stances of positions, i.e. rates of becomings.

Nietzsche wrote:
"it is Our energy that disPoses of us; and the wretched spiritual game of goals and intentions and motives is only a foreground - even though weak eyes may take them for the matter itself." [WTP, 995]

Pathos is not valuing, but at the most basic, what we have are intensities of Positions, poses - as earlier quoted pith- anon, peitho, to set in motion. What emerges from dynamic inequalities of dispositional intensities of forces that we detect as patterns.

Jay Dolmage [‘Rhetorical Traditions across Rhetorical Bodies’] speaks of how Hephaestus/Vulcan, the Greek god of fire and metallurgy who had feet that face away from one another, provided him with cunning agility (metis), craftiness, and thinking ability - to be able to think 'sideways'.

Medusa’s monstrosity, likewise is indicative of embodied rhetoric, persuasion and genius. Nietzsche remarks [BOT, 2], it is with the genius of Medusa’s decapitated head and its persuasive power, the Greeks subjugated the throng of the barbaric masses. Vernant [‘La Mort dans les Yeux’] says, for the Greeks, Medusa represented the face of the warrior possessed by battle-frenzy. It represented ‘menos’ - spirit, fury, mania; and mimnesko – ‘to Remember’. The aegis of Medusa is Apotropaic –  it turns away and averts.

Mermaids are usually depicted with closed tails lying on their stomach, which falls under Virgo. Nietzsche refers to the stomach as the great spirit. There is an embodiment of "thinking with one's stomach" here.

In the Indian classical dance systems, the Lord of the Dance - Dionysos/Shiva is depicted with more than a hundred permutations, each "stance", signifying a "mode" of thinking, of action, of interacting with reality, a mode of thinking that is from out of different parts of the body:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

They are carved on temple architectures that hierarchize the dominant mode of being/seeing.

They represent the Initiation of every kind of Intelligence (animal, plant, ancestral, planetary, mineral, etc.) tapped from every aspect of bodily be…ing since the history of life, engaging every par of our body.

Like an archer hits an arrow right on the bull's eye, a particular Stance/dis-positional Intelligence is meant to hit right on target, to dominate its environment.

Likewise, the Zen Master Takuan Soho presented a standard to his path called the Unfettered Mind, in the form of a Stance of a deity, that was enough to awaken the pursuit towards enlightenment:

Soho wrote:
"Fudo Myoo grasps a sword in his right hand and holds a rope in his left hand. He bares his teeth and his eyes flash with anger. His form stands firmly, ready to defeat the evil spirits that would obstruct the Buddhist Law. His form is made in the shape of a protector of Buddhism, while his embodiment is that of immovable wisdom. This is what is known to living things.
Seeing this form, the ordinary man becomes afraid and has no thoughts of becoming an enemy of Buddhism. The man who is close to enlightenment understands that this manifests immovable wisdom and clears away all delusion. For the man who can make dharma as well as Fudo Myoo, the evil spirits will no longer proliferate. This is the purpose of Fudo Myoo’s tidings. What is said to be Fudo Myoo is one’s unmoving mind and an unvacillating body." [[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]]

Whole vitalities and "spurs" are conveyed by the specific shape - 'restraint of force' , with which we stand towards reality and others…

Our bearing either becomes our character [marks us out], or it characterizes us [marks us].

There are many other such examples characterizing this Pathos - not valuing, but states of intensities, our own momentum that bears on us.

One cannot become Lethe-al, in the sense of that danger of a broad-flowing heart that washes and carries away everything with it in its Eros-ion,

unless one is first clean and clear as an open sea.

We are the Glasnost-ers,

the transparent see-through mediums and oracles.

Our ever-honest will and honest intent, our cleanliness and our crystal clarity is our Lethality; the rest are robbed.

Nietzsche wrote:
"That no one might see down into my depth and into mine ultimate will – for that purpose did I devise the long clear silence.
Many a shrewd one did I find: he veiled his countenance and made his water muddy that no one might see therethrough and thereunder. But precisely unto him came the shrewder distrusters and nutcrackers: precisely from him did they fish his best-concealed fish!
But the clear, the honest, the transparent – these are for me the wisest silent ones: in them, so profound is the depth that even the clearest water doth not – betray it. -"  [TSZ, On the Olive Mount]

PostSubject: Re: Rhealysms Rhealysms EmptySat Oct 01, 2016 8:27 pm

The Onus is literally On Us.

The creative and self-excelling spirit either takes upon itself and takes it keenly, the burden of exhausting every avenue of perfecting, refining itself, or it doesn't.

Burden,

from PIE root *bher- (1) "to bear, to carry; give birth".

Just so J.-Xts. do not hi-jack this as carrying the burden of the cross,

taking Onus is taking one's Own burden.

Not as an ends in itself like the camel in the desert of Zarathustra's, but Nobility as the Obsession with the scope of life, as one's own self. Sending and tapping roots in every direction to become more perfect, and shedding fruits far and wide, that are for all and none.

That is a kind of relation with our humanity.

Nietzsche wrote:
"It is richness in personality, abundance in oneself, over- flowing and bestowing, instinctive good health and affirmation of oneself, that produce great sacrifice and great love: it is strong and godlike selfhood from which these affects grow, just as surely as do the desire to become master, encroachment, the inner certainty of having a right to everything. What according to common ideas are opposite dispositions are rather one disposition; and if one is not firm and brave within oneself, one has nothing to bestow and cannot stretch out one's hand to protect and support-
How was one able so to transform these instincts that man thought valuable that which was directed against his self? when he sacrificed his self to another self. Oh the psychological wretched- ness and mendaciousness that has hitherto laid down the law in the ,church and in church-infected philosophy." [WTP, 388]

Rhealysms Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rhealysms Rhealysms EmptyFri Oct 14, 2016 11:08 am

Nietzsche forewarned that the extremities of one position are often followed by extremities to the other.

The current culture of gender-fluidity, Breeds a distress, if not a dis/ease, to swing theories to the other way, where everything is sent into a gender-divisiveness like paper into a shredding machine.

Heroism, Objectivity, Clarity, Courage, Nobility, Integrity are few of the things that ought not to be ruptured into a cock/pussy war. Anyone doing so is servicing a very limited world view.

Humanity maybe a myth; but there's still a Human-ity that is common to both genders.

In the apollo-affirmative-Dionysian paradigm, there is no lateral division into a simplistic black and white, which no doubt has its uses in times of chaos and is useful to thresh the black from the white.

But when it comes to culture building for a thousand years in mind, the division is not one between Objectivity [males] and Subjectivity [females],, but Objectivity that is born of an objective cost/benefit criterion,, or a subjective abundance/hunger criterion.

That subjectivity only leads to subjectivity is a piece of stupidity and limitedness.

Nietzsche's entire corpus has been an Objectivity born of subjective criterion.

How is this so?

Because, before Objectifying standards,
We need a Subjective sharpness, increased Scope of the self, to cause to appear and summon the highest standards as such, and to bear these standards one births.

Without increased Scope of self, that is the total Disciplined involvement of one's entire sensual capacity; there can be no stimulus to Courage, to Honesty, to break out of boxes and limited views that passion provides with all its animal vigour.

The Scope of our selves is born of our courage to face life as fully and Daringly as possible.
Without this, there is no growth, and without growth, there is no Clarity.

To the self-clinging Apollonian, the animal vigour is feared as overwhelming the "borders", and every becoming beyond these borders is experienced as a self-violation and death.

To the Dionysian, the animal vigour is affirmed as stimulus to higher states of perception, and every becoming and "death" is experienced as growth, as rebirth and rejuvenation.

We need to want/a-spire to stand well before forming standards to stand well.

The Apollonian is a distinguishing itself by a "That which I am not"; it is a recession, a breaking-away to put distance, de-fining itself.

The Dionysian is a distinguishing itself by a "This is what I am"; in its highest and heartfull affirmation, it is the deepest historical current that draws along everything good and bad in its sweep, its exaltation, beyond pain/pleaure. It pulls the whole force of a history with it, and leaves back what doesnt stick to it… akin to a soil EROS-ion, a slow deforestation, the loosening of earth and soil by an alluvion… and opens distance, chasms… new remote islands depositing its riches elsewhere, preparing new Individual trees as the sum total of this time EROS-ion, floating glaciers, and new sea-beds of life rearranging, revaluing, regenerating, and re-fining itself.

In every generation, we have Traditionalists who safeguard norms,

and we have the Individualists [not the Stirner type] who Exceed old norms and raise the bar of the Ideal, creating new norms.

Any theory that implies that one is masculine and is THE way, while the other is feminine and inferior is highly mis-leading to say the least.

The self is a becoming.

While most women are douche, and retarded can be said at an objective level, that can be no basis for any injunction that the feminine Cannot aspire to philosophy.
Women are retarded is a fact, not a Law.

Life is a Daring.

Lets be careful not to import standards of the average mass to those of the exceptional individuals and horribly lumping them together, for where there is strength, different criteria operating past cost/benefit Overrule to produce nothing short of a world-view that is equally, if not, more so, Objective.

Lets also remember, to the Dionysian, intuition is not some "guess-work", but the Intoxication of Spring that lifts all veils and vapour and fog and mist away and sheds a bright shining nuanced clarity.

Depending on humours and metabolism, some are prone to operate only from their mind, and some only from their heart, and in the exceptional case, some from the Allignment of their heart and mind, that its so barely distinguished and provides a natural spontaneity.

Philosophy exists as a Challenge to raise Human-ity as a whole, not for justifying the male at the expense of keeping the feminine stunted within self-limiting theories. Overcoming the Feminization of Man is not reaffirming masculinity for its own sake, but with the Farthest goal in mind - the production of super-great Individuals who surpass the last man in the chain of becoming...

Quote :
"Ennoblement through degeneration. History teaches us that that part of a people maintains itself best whose members generally share a vital public spirit, due to the similarity of their long-standing, incontrovertible principles, that is, of their common faith. In their case, good, sound custom strengthens them; they are taught to subordinate the individual, and their character is given solidity, at first innately and later through education. The danger in these strong communities, founded on similar, steadfast individual members, is an increasing, inherited stupidity, which follows all stability like a shadow. In such communities, spiritual progress depends on those individuals who are less bound, much less certain, and morally weaker; they are men who try new things, and many different things. Because of their weakness, countless such men are destroyed without having much visible effect; but in general, especially if they have descendants, they loosen things up, and, from time to time, deliver a wound to the stable element of a community. Precisely at this wounded, weakened place, the common body is inoculated, so to speak, with something new; however, the community's overall strength, has to be great enough to take this new thing into its bloodstream and assimilate it. Wherever progress is to ensue, deviating natures are of greatest importance. Every progress of the whole must be preceded by a partial weakening. The strongest natures retain the type, the weaker ones help to advance it." [N., HATH, 224]

Nietzsche wrote:
"Prudence of idealists to be only missionaries and "representa- tives" of an ideal: they "transfigure" themselves in the eyes of those who believe in disinterestedness and heroism. Whereas: true heroism consists, in not fighting under the banner of sacrifice, devotion, disinterestedness, but in not fighting at all- "This is what I am; this is what I want:- you can go to hell!"-" [WTP, 349]

Heidegger wrote:
"...The dark light of the wine does not take away awareness; rather, it lers one's meditation pass beyond that mere illusion of clarity which is possessed by everything calculable and shallow, climbing higher and higher toward the loftiness and nearness of the highest one.
...The intoxication is that sublime elevation of mood wherein that single voice that can be heard that sets a tone, and where those are attuned to it may be led most resolutely beyond themselves." [Ister]

Rhealysms Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rhealysms Rhealysms EmptyFri Oct 14, 2016 2:33 pm

The simplistic view that reduction is good, complexity is Only obscurantism and obfuscation, is an extension of Manichean dualism.

Nature did not leave us as skeletons, she gave us sheaths, muscles, skin, hair… a brain… these are complexities that evolved and adapted to a world absent of any telos.

Mythologies keep the germ and the bud alive, that in time - allows adaptations to existing circumstances. They make way for new probabilities - some life-denying, some life-affirming. But the source itself is vital - metaphors em-Bodying dynamic laws… and when they become laws themselves, we call them a symbol - a source of light.

As some are too eager and would love to paint, that its complexity alone that has problems, it is certainly not so.

On the path of reduction, anything can be levelled to "patterns" or "ordering" or "symmetry".

Beauty is a symmetry.

Harmony is a symmetry.

Anything and everything reduced so reductively, turns into an absurdity.

Sure beauty is a pattern, is an Order(ing), a symmetry… but has this made life any more intelligible? - which is the purpose of philosophy…

Does it really inform anything more? Does it enhance life, and not just passively describe it?

Without the lust for complex structures, we should remain at bottom content, that all is an order, with no Higher Objectivity for any life-enriching nuance!

Black and White Apollonianisms are only tools and Useful Resources we employ and deploy in the service of growth towards far-reaching rhealysms in the hands of the creative artist; not an ends in itself.

Passionate states do not aim to de-mystify anything; their Spring uplifts them above the mists and the fog… the aesthesis is not intentional hedonistic avoidance of deceit, or self-clinging fear of being duped, but self-concentrate 100% leading to its own spring-cleaning:

Nietzche wrote:
"By doing we forego."

"At bottom I abhor all those moralities which say: “Do not do this! Renounce! Overcome yourself!” But I am well disposed toward those moralities which goad me to do something and do it again, from morning till evening, and then to dream of it at night, and to think of nothing except doing this well, as well as I alone can do it. When one lives like that, one thing after another drops off. Without hatred or aversion one sees this take its leave today and that tomorrow, like yellow leaves that any slight stirring of the air takes off a tree. He may not even notice that it takes its leave; for his eye is riveted to his goal – forward, not sideward, backward, downward. What we do should determine what we forego; by doing we forego – that is how I like it, that is my placitum. But I do not wish to strive with open eyes for my own impoverishment; I do not like negative virtues – virtues whose very essence it is to negate and deny oneself something." [JW, 304]

Nietzche wrote:
"Nothing is needed more than truth, and in relation to it everything else has only second-rate value.

This unconditional will to truth—what is it? Is it the will not to allow oneself to be deceived? Or is it the will not to deceive? For the will to truth could be interpreted in the second way, too—if only the special case "I do not want to deceive myself" is subsumed under the generalization "I do not want to deceive." But why not deceive?

But why not allow oneself to be deceived?

Note that the reasons for the former principle belong to an altogether different realm from those for the second. One does not want to allow oneself to be deceived because one assumes that it is harmful, dangerous, calamitous to be deceived. In this sense, science would be a long-range prudence, a caution, a utility; but one could object in all fairness: How is that? Is wanting not to allow oneself to be deceived really less harmful, less dangerous, less calamitous? What do you know in advance of the character of existence to be able to decide whether the greater advantage is on the side of the unconditionally mistrustful or of the unconditionally trusting?

PostSubject: Re: Rhealysms Rhealysms EmptySat Oct 15, 2016 5:48 pm

One can start at the most bottom and far removed from the human world they want; but it will get them no where if they lack self-development - the Sensual discipline, the lust to explore and the courage to call it as it is… which are all heart-modulated. The Scope of the Self must first be increased, and rheason can only be born of passion, else every objective assessment of the world can flatly be reduced to a simplistic either/or of life Or death, leaving nothing but values of immediate survival.

Here, we arrive at a cross-roads:

The Apollonian disposition that functions from the point of view of 'solving a problem' [lion in a jungle],

and the Dionysian disposition from the pov. that aims to "comprehend a problem" in all its fullness first, and raises the context as a route to solution.

While the Apollonian is useful in dire circumstances, and simplification is necessary in times one is overwhelmed with too much suffocating garbage, and quick "yes or no", "black or white", "life or death" are crucial, necessary, it should also be remembered, not all problems can or Should be reduced to the lion-in-the-jungle scenario. Heidegger referred to this reductionist approach that is content in its solution After it frames the problem in a limited way - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] or "Enframing".

Like we evolved complex physical structures both outside as our body, and inside as our molecular proteins and such, "inner worlds" too have their complexity.

Minimalism is the aesthetic movement that in trying to "de-mystify" it to the "basics", only exposed the decadent side of nature, the products of man in the absence of complex tensions and definitive stresses and Luxury of contradictions that the Apollonian, from fear of being overwhelmed by capacity of Its senses may refer to as "manipulative and deceptive mysticism", etc.

Basic insight. Not every complexity is a feminine "seduction" and "manipulation".
Complexity is not some taboo, that one needs to chop it down wherever one finds it. Not everything is "out to deceive" the "innocent". The fear of "devouring females" and nature and animal passion is not the limitation of the Dionysian.

The folds of nature are efficient sophistications.

Without feminine mystique, we would have no Scope for growth.
If all problems are to be miserably reduced to a scenario and frame of the 'lion-in-the-jungle', there would be preservation, but no evolution.

The great human being is a Complex creature with many diverse facets. The vulnerability of the genius that steadies itself slowly…

Rationalizing them to a 'do away with what one doesnt need' is already presupposing some innate logic that it must correspond to…
But life adapts and turns resourceful from all that it has [the needed and the unneeded] as it goes along, purposes are found.

Words have specific functions only within the Frame we draw.

Within a certain border, one may see a beautiful garden and come to a certain interpretation, while extending the border may situate that scene in hell, and meanings change as the Scope of Our ability to grow change.

The ancients pointed to the sun as a planet that revolves around the earth from direct observation.

But its only when We have the frame enlarged, do We Determine, the function of words. What is a planet before is now a star.

Words do not only refer to contexts, but they also Determine contexts.

Words are tools.

There is a difference between bringing problems down to earth, and narrowing them out of any discriminatory definitions.

Likewise there is a difference between blowing problems out of earth, and broadening them to engage nuanced perspectives on life.

Where comfort is the motive, then easy dismisals via narrowing the problem or blowing them out to absurdity, is the easiest way to escape.
On the other hand, higher beings who have the sensual capacity to see from the heights and the farthest where the average cannot see, will logically be called 'nihilists' or 'romanticists' or 'subjectivists', when, in fact, it maybe a distant and cold-blooded Objectvity, the rest are yet to catch up.

There are no hard and fast rules here, except history for those who need certainty, and our own guts, our self-Trust, for those who can do without certainty, that May signal the ludicrous from the lucrative.

Who is more a 'priest' than the puritan afraid of contamination passing off as someone clear and free of contradictions?

PostSubject: Re: Rhealysms Rhealysms EmptySun Oct 16, 2016 6:31 am

There are women who hide behind men, and there are women employ ideals like any fine instrument, or the mastery over a language for their own thoughts and purpose.

One cannot at the same time shame women for affirming the highest ideals as 'hiding behind men', while also praise them for being the vanguards of the highest ideal. And some, not just guard, they also create.

What is next?

Shall we shame people for being multilingual and remain under-developed in 'safe spaces'?

Shall we look at mastering any craft, as being domesticated, and remain sheltered in our fear and never venture out of our hoods?

Its the males who can validate themselves as so, only at the expense of shaming women, who are responsible for spawning 'outspoken' feminists, daring to 'speak their own mind', and what a disaster that has been…

Either shame the women for 'hiding behind men',
or shame the women for 'exhibiting their own wits'…

Here we must distinguish between those who acknowledge discriminately, and those wretched of the earth, who cannot stand to see any other progress, and hoard their acknowledgements, parting with them like it held their life. Not mere words now, is it?!
Injustice tempers its own nemesis, and turns the imbalanced environment into one of a dis/ease and deathly plague.

The Church Fathers have gone, but their shadows still linger, spawning more and more feminists in their wake, perpetuating this vicious cycle stemming from their own shame…

There is a difference between passivity,

and the steady state, that is the most active composure, the sniper's hand, the
surgeon's hand, the hand of precision, the master's sure hand, the unhesitant hand that is as precise as is generous, that is daring as it is intelligent, that is as overflowing as it is restrained…

There are passive males and females,
as there are composed and real active ones.

If the intention is only ever always to shame everything, then anything can be shamed for anything, and everything can come under its purview.
End result of such an exhausted mentality, will only be a discontented absurdity.

Women are weak, as is everything;
but its the self-ashamed who see in disadvantages, (Their) weakness itself.

The noble on the other hand, affirm disadvantages, that is Their path of maximum resistance.

Jews were officially the first iconoclasts.

It is Aryans who gave Their breath, and filled the world with Their breath, into wood and stones and clay and mud, to bring deities and idols and ideals to life…

They brought Earth itself to life.

We are life-givers.

Likewise words.

Words dont just connect to earth, they also bring out the very earth.

Words filled with our breath, and our breadth, our span of WTP, are lively conductors.

Words are knives that have breached and cut and open space to breathe.
Words have shown the way to freedom.
Words have won for us paths to dignity.

Words are needles that have sewn injured and disparate pieces of history and time together.
Word are healers.
Words have created, nourished, sustained genius lost across billions of years.

Words are lenses that magnify or zoom into focus contexts revealing galaxies and nuclear cores.
Words are perspectival world-birthers, and world-guarders, and mirrors of self-knowing and self-betrayers giving away hints.
Words orient fellow travelers, and can disorient enemies throwing them in disorder.

Words are not Only superfluous.

They are also Inspirers, embodying ideals, that made Heidegger define language as the "house of being".

Words have gone ahead and stood there like beacons of justice, and symbols of light and hope.

Words have arrived from the buried and forgotten pasts, and re-call us like Grand-mothers arousing us from our slumber.

The priestly is no "evil" (even if some priests be), except to the satanic who love chaos and disorder, that it keeps out.

Words and wit and verses are weapons of the priestly,
as weapons and valour are to the warrior,
and worth and virtu and value are to the trader…

We breathe our life into words, and lively words breathe life into us.

In the current War against the dis/ease of modern petrification of rigid words and post-modern simulacra of rootless words,

1. Apollonian defenders: One either brings words down to earth and back to their historical roots, or

2. Dionysian invaders: One takes them even farther, "above man and time", to raise a higher ideal, re-vitalizing the whole gamut of history anew.

We are the pressure that shall be applied;

We apply no pressure other than ourselves.

The onus is on us.

Where 'nobility' is to some, limited to the use-valuing of taking on and off burdens as per one's comfort and convenience,

Nobility to the few, is walking a path and seeing it to the end with the heart in it, and then, day Gives Way to night, and night Gives Way to day,… and in that natural cycle of the earnest affirmer, everything makes way, if one sticks to one's heart.

They become edges where things turns around, and opposites are bridged, and opposites are kept distinct, and one is enjoyably in one's solitude even in the presence of others, and enjoyably in one's company even in the absence of others.

Nobility means that diamond composure,
that even the inevitable death is not exploited as an excuse to 'let go' and abuse one's freedom of 'last days', scrambling for this or that…

Death shall not break our pace, and make us hasten and race, or slow us, on the work we set out to do.

"Bound heart, free spirit."

Those who have attained a disciplined self-trust need not fear being overwhelmed by the animal passion that in the poorly organized/self-cohered feels it as a threat.
In the flexibly organized, when the heart is bound, even the feet can soar off the earth into underwater or outer-space.

Our heart is our hearth.

Rheal Indifference is a passionate self-perfection and fulfilling one's duty irrespective of come what may. One does not count what sticks or falls, what comes or leaves, what is given or not given, since life is affirmed both for its positive and negative aspects beyond pleasure/pain, and whatever befalls one, one is confident in taking that in one's stride, as one's own fate, as one more resource saved away for ennobling some purpose.

Self-clingers and the One-sided who care about results and success ratios and cost/benefits and not nuances or how things are achieved, can only afford to look at the Dionysian as the orgiastic animal. Fear rules them.
For those possessing a higher sense of self-integrity, the Dionyian is the Hyper-Conscious sensitivity that requires minimal stimulus to infer a whole depth of information.
Ultimately, its a question purely of health and genetic inheritance - the sacrifice towards steady chains over generations.

When the Subjective instincts are strong and disciplined, Objectivity is a weakening of the sure-instinct, and the breeding of skepticism that breaks the self's trust in its own sensual capacity.
Objectivity is the culmination of the Strength of subjective passions that enable one to grasp things in severe clarity - the subjectivity that has come to steady itself;

[WTP, 560]

Nietzche wrote:

"Objectivity" is the degree of "subjective intensification" and "acuteness" of senses that it is able to withstand observations beyond the pleasure/pain principle.

The most objective observations, is an intensification such that one sees everything for what it is at the microgranular level... pixel by pixel.

Passion is a Strength to the Strong, and to them, not a weakness or a compromise.

While the Apollonian is a divisive feature, generating dualistic splits is to be expected.

The Dionysian is the current that pulls and affirms everything, gathering all in its strength.

The Dionysian is no Romanticist Idealism.

Its a deliberate straw to infer that the Dionysian is self-less;
but rather the extent of what is Self is more extensive than the limited conception of the borders formed under the Apollonian cost/benefit criterion.

Objectivity is only a degree of the Strength of the Subjective self, since the Dionysian criterion that operates is Not *how much certainty one can tend towards*, but
*how much uncertainty one can endure*;

Nietzsche wrote:
"..."objectivity" -- the latter understood not as "contemplation without interest" (which is a nonsensical absurdity), but as the ability to control one's Pro and Con and to dispose of them, so that one knows how to employ a variety of perspectives and affective interpretations in the service of knowledge.
There is only a perspective seeing, only a perspective "knowing"; and the more affects we allow to speak about one thing, the more eyes, different eyes, we can use to observe one thing, the more complete will our "concept" of this thing, our "objectivity," be. But to eliminate the will altogether, to suspend each and every affect, supposing we were capable of this -- what would that mean but to castrate the intellect?" [GM, 3, 12]

To the Apollonian that is concerned with fixing borders, resisting change and moving towards certainty is what is defined as Order;

To the Dionysian that is concerned with expanding borders, exploiting change and daring uncertainty is what is defined as Order.

There is no Singular Tyrannical Absolute Rule, that the Apollonian is Superior or The highest way;

the Dionysian is equally, if not more nuancedly superior in its aesthetics of Objectivity.

Any theory that tells you that one cannot attain superior objectivity via subjective criterion is plain rhetoric and poorly informed.

In the end, what counts is our goal, our agenda - our metabolism shaping our ideal that in turn shapes the aesthetic of our methods and our Disposition to the world.

I said fixING borders, NOT "fixed" borders.

Not responsible for others misreading.

Sweetie...who said "fixed borders" then, or did you throw that into my mouth?
Skin heals....little cuts...blood coagulating, constructing a scab, to cover the broken border, the damaged skin.

Shall we flay ourselves according to idealized Dionysian standards...only because Nietzsche said so?

There is no static state, no absolute order.
There is disordering.
Adding to chaos is not an act of courage - it is suicide.

"Border, boundaries are not fixed is time/space."

Try that strawman at me, again.

That's a fear only for someone who does not have self-control.

For those Disciplined, growth and the opening of possibilities is a positive, because they have "balance" - which is how Euripides characterizes Dionysos in his play Bacchanalia.

An individual who loves life too much and is discontent to settle down with anything and feels settling down anywhere is an Oppression, a Domestication, a Feminization can easily transfer the onus of his wanderlust onto women, turning them unfaithful whores.

In an age of cowardice, empathy will be the excuse for playing feminine games by all parties.

I read...NOT fixed in time/space.
Now do you read it?

Lyssa wrote:

Don't know....you are the expert.
You imply that any skin, any boundary, is a product of weakness. and that the proper Dionysian way is to have no skin, no boundaries, no fear.

Lyssa wrote:

Self-Control IS a boundary!!!
It says..."I shall not do this!!"

Yes, and balance is a restriction on self, because one canot control world.

Not because I do not trust myself, but because the world is not to be trusted - it being fluctuating.

The Spartans built no walls not because they were fearless, but because THEY were the wall.
The laws that restricted their actions.

To continue on that;

Atomic individuals A, B, or C dont matter.

Its the Principle of things.

How we fight, or conduct our conducts in general, in the presence or absence of witnesses, sets a model and a path for the rest, whether anyone notes or not.
