My problem with death metal -- most of it at any rate -- is that it's too dim, too dark, too repressed. I like things to be aggressive but they must reverberate, they must be wide open, proud and sure of themselves, like this:

I must of listened to V – The New Mythology Suite a million times in high school, the first metal band I was really into.

These days I lack courage to check out any new (or old) music because the feeling of depression that follows after the expected disappointment is just unbearable lol.
My taste in music matured to such an extent that nothing pleases me anymore -- at least not in a proper, wholesome way.
