I once thought helping others was necessary.
Now I know that it can also get you in trouble, and that the majority are beyond help, due to inherited potentials, and the natural brain function of wanting to protect the organism from what may prove to be threatening to its survival.
Now I enjoy watching natural processes play out, trying to learn from them, myself, and to integrate them in my own adaptive strategies.
I've also learned to be more discriminating with my definitions...particularly the one called "Human".
Sure, we all belong to the species homo sapient, which is a sexual/reproductive identification, but the species human differentiates itself from other species in very obvious ways...and this same differentiation I apply internally within the population of organisms known by their reproductive designation.
