Death doom/Funeral Doom, Amazing stuff. This has this historical feeling, no hope, just disease, famine and death like black death. Just listened 3 albums in a row.

Just for the sake of metal subculture history. This 1988 album started the entire goregrind genre, it's putrid, primitive and disgusting, yet I'd rather listen this than any generic tech band. Non-natural pitchshifter vocals.

What becomes of a human being? Born into a life of neglect and pain Abused parents, traumatized Every night, brutalized
Battered as a child complete hatred bestowed His fragile mind suffered to blow Stay alive another day A life of bringing death will then unfold
Childhood stripped away Barley saw the light of day Darkened sellar, locked inside Many beatings somehow survived
Now with courage to retaliate His parents lives he'll dominate Torturing their loving souls They will succumb to the hate they create Pulverized into submission But still no sense of satisfaction Takes it to another level Dealer of death now becomes him
Driven to kill Desire for vengeance unfulfilled His anguish remains, too much to contain Others will fall victim to his pain
A path of violence in his future Memories of pain just to fuel the anger Distorted thoughts overwhelm him Repeated thoughts to kill and torture

Why is metal "metal" in the first place? Because of the inescapable fact that it is meta-culturally rooted in the ballsy epic and "stimmung" ethos of the Indo-European peoples. Metal's worldview is basically Nietzschean, its about finding beauty amidst the tragic or drawing new strength from our mortal encounters with the dark or challenging side of life in a self-chosen morality of affirmation, life-serving, will-to-power and overcoming. The spirit of metal is basically volkisch and romantic, rather than urban and cosmopolitan.
