Kill

Why arn't you killing people? I mean you could go out right now and kill somebody, but you're not, you are choosing not to, even if there is no direct threat, some people do this for different reasons, we could get into that later but first..

if the land became lawless and there was no direct threat, would you kill?

If not, then why not?

No reason to go out of your way to kill anyone, except resentment or disgust. If you don't have the resentment, you have no reason to satiate it by scapegoating a random person as a stand-in for your insecurities. If you're disgusted with them, then you kill them: like pedophiles.

If you need land or food or water and it's you or them, then it doesn't matter if the law is there or not.

Killing from passion and in the moment, is just that.

To prevent killing others in the moment, we imagine future consequences (jail) and fear that more than we fear letting the other go for whatever injustice we perceived them to commit. That, and/or we are conditioned like dogs or animals to not do that. If I saw a man raping a child, I would probably not care about the law and shoot that guy.

There is never a void in nature. There is always repercussions, potential counter-attack from others.


Some people have more value than others. Some people have families and societies. Thus the family or society will retaliate against you. Revenge is Natural Law. However, low value people, homeless men, bums, dregs, are worth less. Arguably you will face less retaliation, and in some cases, no retaliation at all. Likewise, killing children or women is deemed more heinous and will face more retaliation.

So basically my point is, based on the value of some people, you will face retaliation for many different reasons. If you kill a factory worker, for example, then the factory employer loses an employee. You cost the factory a laborer. On an abstracted level, society has lost a worker and member. Thus society imposes laws, fines, judgments, and retaliation. Society will employ police to find and capture you, lawyers and judges to sentence you, etc.
