Replacing the one-god, the absolute in the 'beyond', the 'outside' observable reality, projecting a noetic annihilation of the experienced, with the State or the sanctification of the concept Humanity.
Humanity replaced the abstraction of God.
It was a down-to-earth abstraction that replaced the 'beyond' with the 'future', the immanent, coming 'salvation'.
Paradise replaced by Utopia.  
The totalitarianism of Abrahamism, replaced by State totalitarianism.

God Creator of world, became Man God-creator of his own reality.
Revolution replaced revelation.

Both were ideologies with a selective reference to anything real, and to precedent, to a past.
Both used words as the foundation of their dogmatic ideologies, and used coercion and seduction because they had no rational, nor any aesthetic, evidence.

Why Stalinism is demonized and Trotsky adopted, is easy to comprehend.
McCarthy was not so off base, was he?

The 'lie' is the 'esoteric'.
Also where one can fabricate and sell any philosophy.
Also where you can redefine all past philosophers, based on the presumption that they were really not telling the truth, or not all of it.
The lie can claim any truth, because it is not bound by anything outside the subjective.
Survival sacrificing integrity to itself.
Not simply remaining silent, but actively manipulating and inverting the truth.

Perpetual revolution...a movement towards Utopia that explains why the promised ideal world is never reached.
Neo-Cons adopted this as perpetual war.
The masses are kept in a constant state of stress, driving them to remain loyal to the State that is protecting them from the endless pool of enemies.

Abrahamism, and all its spiritual and secular derivatives, including Marxism, must lie to survive. It is idealistic to the point of being unrealistic – anti-realistic, anti-natural order. It is so antithetical to the truth that without a lie it crumbles under the weight of its own pretenses. The lie directed towards deceiving others, gradually becomes self-deception. Philosophy's pursuit of 'truth', at any and all costs, is given a new motive which takes it over and corrupts it.
Without duplicity all nihilistic ideologies, whether they be spiritual, philosophical, political, cannot survive in the real world, indifferent to their underlying motives.
Christianity expunges its self-contradictions to maintain an air of divine purity and absolute perfection, in the name of God, the icon of its absolute ‘truth’.
In churches, or in confessionals, the member is blamed for the dogma's lies. The flock becomes the shepherd’s scapegoat – sacrificed to erase from awareness its true intent.
Marxism accomplished the same with mass executions, and endless accusations. Its 'purity and idealistic perfection’, was preserved when its application was mired by corrupt, individuals, or by enemies that envied its 'goodness'.
If Nihilism were to apply its own ideologies, as they are written in theory, it will expose itself; if it were to apply the ideal within the real, it would perish. It deals with this conflict of ideology with reality, by finding enemies to blame for its failure to bring about the 'better' world, or the 'good' man, or by projecting its completion in the 'beyond' reality, or in 'hidden' reality – projected as a coming 'after death'(paradise), or in the 'coming future' (utopia) – progress is consistent and persistent. The ‘world’ a.k.a. Humanity, is always moving towards its perfection but never attaining it. The movement towards it becomes part of its dogma – its agonistic becoming. A perpetual state of 'revolution', or 'self-admonishing' overcoming. The lie is never revealed because it is never present. Humans fail to practice its perfection, or to apply it as it was intended.
Individuals enslaved by the unreal. Blaming themselves and others, the world itself, for the ideology’s failures, leaving it intact – a beacon of absolute perfection awaiting the ‘proper men, to apply it properly’.
Inevitably splintering will occur, as each faction will claim a ‘better’ approach towards the idea(l) – Abrahamism splintered, and then each splintering splintered once more, just as Marxism, divided into Leninism, Stalinism, Trotskyism, Maoism, and is presently going through the Frankfurt School’s post-modern phase. Each variant more hateful to its own antagonistic version of itself, than to anything outside of it. What is ‘outside’ the paradigm is relegated to an inferior status of passive, impotence – as is the world, outside humanity, in general. Among the ‘enlightened’ only the enlightened pose any true threat – for the political only competing political views matter. Truth is now a weapon, and a tool, to be used to promote the lie. No longer the end, it is the means for fabricating a more convincing un-truth.  
A perpetual state of revolution leaves no time for contemplation and skepticism. There’s always an enemy at the gate to deal with. In times of peace Communism began to fragment, under the pressures of self-critiques and competing adjustments to the strategy that would bring forth the perfect application of the ideology. With no objective standard, everything became theoretical, and only verifiable by convictions, and an effect on the masses. Over time the ‘truth’ no longer matters, only the lies and their effect on humanity.
Power is associated with mass control, used as representations of ‘self’. One either loses ‘self’ in the otherness, or hides behind them, to deal with ‘truth’. Lies become a buffer to absorb the impact of reality when it confronts the ideology. Power through proxies. To maintain a sufficient following the lie must be all-encompassing, all-inclusive, hopeful, and positive to the majority – as intentionally convoluted and triggering as an abstract painting. The only way to accomplish this is to use vagueness, allowing each ‘potential follower’ to project into the insinuating rhetoric his/her own desired lie, or stress, to distract the individual from the lie, when being confronted by a greater threat – whether manufactured, or real.

Conflict within the Abrahamic dogma was inevitable, when there was no objective standard to evaluate ‘logos’.  When 'logos' ceased to be a tool and was sanctified becoming an idea(l).  
Catholicism claimed to be the heir of European traditions, owing to the fact that it synthesized Platonism and Judaism, through its icon Jesus – the personification of ‘logos’ of god’s word. The only externalization of the esoteric, merging, in theory, noumenon/phenomenon, the idea(l) and the real, body and mind.  
Judaism set itself apart, to preserve its privileged status, as the ‘chosen’. Talmud was an ongoing esoteric dialogue/debate establishing this rejection.  
Catholicism claimed Rome, through its Holy Roman Empire incarnation, as evidence of its earthly authority, even if it used ‘logos’ in antithesis to the Hellenic understanding of the concept – word. To the east, Byzantium did the same. Rome was divided and spiritually appropriated, each side declaring itself the ‘rightful heir’ of the incompatible synthesis of Judaism and Hellenism. Selective reasoning, compartmentalization and obscurity, dealt with any cognitive dissonance. Hellenism was reduced to Parmenides and Plato, and his interpretation of Socrates – Socrates became a prophet of the coming Messiah, seeding self-doubt and skepticism, in hearts and minds. Some of Hellenism was preserved by integrating it into modern ideologies…. such as Epicurus. The Hellenic cadaver was cut-up and assimilated, losing the ‘spirit’.
The idol became the abstraction of word, and then of number – it adopted the art of semiotics as its God incarnate.
Present day alliances between Protestantism and Judaism is explained as this shared rebellion over all earthly authority, including natural order. The eternal ‘beyond’ and the forever ‘future’ was rescued from corporeality. Logos was liberated by any authoritative definition, having already been detached from the ‘totalitarianism’ of nature.

Nietzsche's 'transvalaution of morals' is reinterpreted as a revolution against nature and the past, when it is a return to the past, and its adaptation and updated application in the present, trans-cending nihilism, as the intervening period separating, past from present.
This is justified using esotericism, and obscurantism, assimilating it into Nihilistic 'revolutions' against all authorities, not only manmade order, but also natural order.
Language is the only tool that can achieve this, in theory and only psychologically....noetically.  
An inversion...called rebelliousness. Perpetual adolescence, rebelling against the father, but also the world that 'condemned' him to being his son.

The metaphysics behind Communism are Nihilistic - anxieties of an emergent consciousness awakening to the world, first, and then to itself in relation to it.
This produces a reaction...a pulling away.
The noumenon recoiling from the impact of the phenomena, and how they inter-relate = meaning.
A sense of insecurity, defensively projecting abstractions, via words...as a wild animal vocalizes when it senses a predator.
Nervous tension released.
Words/symbols, semiotics, become dialectical bricks to build a theoretical wall, then an enclosure, detaching from reality altogether.

Contrary to popular opinion, it is the so-called ‘right’ that has always stood for innovative solutions to the ‘problem’ of existence – always constructing and maintaining masculine order within cosmic, fluctuating (feminine) change. The feminine has always been associated with nature’s chaos/order dichotomy, used as a metaphor for nature. The so-called ‘left’ has merely opposed all man-made order, using feminine tactics and driven by the naive conviction that if man stops intervening and imposing his will, a hidden order will emerge spontaneously, establishing a ‘paradise on earth’, or Utopia. Its dissatisfaction with order hides a secret motive, governed by a self-serving messianic belief: salvation lurks beneath the chaos. This is pure-Nihilism competing with ‘positive’-Nihilism over ‘hearts and minds’ and which kind will bring forth Utopia the quickest. The self-contradiction in the latter indicating a conflict between idealism and realism that always sides with the former. When this ‘paradise on earth’ continuously fails to materialize the leftist never seeks the cause in his own naïve idealism, but always seeks to accuse some ‘evil-doer’, re-establishing and reaffirming the current dichotomy of ‘evil victimizer’ and ‘innocent victim’, being played-out across the internet, television news, pop-culture and college campuses. The ‘cult of victimhood’ replacing class warfare as this new-version’s repackaged spiritual Judeo-Christian/secular Marxism.
The ex-Soviet Union’s communist Utopia was a secular version of Christianity, and the US opposed it with a different version of Communism, named Socialism.
Putin’s adoption of Orthodoxy to replace what had proven to be inefficient, hints at the relationship, as well as the need, by the average mind, for some form of absolutism. Post-modernity echoes this socialized underlying idealism, pretending to be natural selecting Capitalism. American Socialism overwhelmed Soviet Communism with its more sophisticated duplicity. But how would leftists deal with the failure of Utopia to spontaneous emerge from the ruins? How would manmade order be continuously prevented from disrupting its emergence? Trotsky proposed the solution of perpetual revolution. Later, revealing the underlying socialist spirit of the US, when it became neo-conservatism, proposing the doctrine of perpetual war. Neo-cons are all ex-Trotskyites, adopting post-modernity as their updated socialism. All are students of the political-scientist, Leo Straus, and his ‘noble lie’, where contradictions, and motives are hidden in a haze of mystical obscurantism. The ‘lie’ is in the stated motive; its ‘nobility’ stated but never revealed. Revelation has yet to materialize.
Messianic spirituality adopting obscurantism to reinvent itself, as something ‘novel’, just as Christianity had reinvented itself as a ‘new and improved’ Rome, its ‘true heirs’, renamed and repackaged as Holy Roman Empire and Byzantium, and Marxism had reinvented Judeo-Christianity as the updated secular version of the same nihilism.
