A precursor to modern psychology; a superstition that was practiced primarily by parasitical peoples, memetically/genetically alien to the host culture, e.g., gypsies.
Astrology posits the belief that star-arrangements at birth can determine an individual’s fate, or be used to read what has been predetermined to be his/her fate. A belief that dominated primarily women and those desperate souls who are experiencing some kind of personal or existential crisis.

Although astrology cannot be entirely dismissed it can be placed within contexts of probability. That the time and place of birth does affect the development of inherited traits, is a logical assumption, but this has more to do with the earth’s rotational position relative to the sun and their interacting magnetic fields, affecting everything on the earth’s surface, and with climatic circumstances with seasonal effects on terrestrial life. What effects stars have would be minimal and insignificant relative to local planetary effects.
Astrological categories, e.g., star signs, are more about terrestrial positions relative to the sun, and to the other planetary bodies in our solar system – ergo they are cosmologically localized, viz., distances from the earth determining the power of the effect on genetically inherited potentials.

If astrology is more than a primitive form of trying to understand human nature – a precursor of modern psychology (not recognized as a legitimate science, itself) – then we would expect that life on earth would have evolved along astrological effects, and not genetic ones, viz., not natural selection but astrological selection; if astrology determines the probabilities of an offspring’s innate potentials – more than its genetic inheritance – then we would have life evolving to reflect this fact, viz., life on earth would have developed species exclusively Gemini, and/or Pisces, and/or Sagittarius reproducing during the months of that particular astrological configuration, congregating along astrological identities so as to persevere their distinctness, e.g., species of Taurus, giving birth between April & May, looking down on those of other star-signs, producing civilizations reflecting their kind's dispositions, and, in time, evolving the physical characteristics that would reflect this common spiritual identity. There would be no biological species as we know them, i.e., genetically determined; there would only be astrologically determined species.
*Astrology implies the absence or impotence, of human agency. According to tis convictions, man’s life is entirely predetermined by star arrangements at the time of his/her birth, and that his/her fate, down to the micro level, has been set and cannot be altered, for even their alteration has also been determined by the stars.
*Astrology is how a feminized psyche comprehends metaphysics and human behaviour.
Notice how astrology only seems to apply to one species – the one that can be affected by symbols, such as language, and all that they insinuate on a conscious and subconscious level – and has never dared to attempt to define and describe animal behaviours. One would imagine that all life born on this planet would be similarly affected by star configurations, but nothing of the sort has ever been implied, or attempted, by these charlatans of superstition.
Masculine rationalism conflicts with feminine emotionalism. In emasculating times astrology becomes popular, just as all superstitions do when logic and reason begin to decline.

Astrological Considerations and ImplicationsWhat is implied, but never stated – necessitating testable verifiably, falsifiable, evidence – is that firstly, the world is entirely ordered and therefore by reading astrological patterns – coming to us from a across space/time – one can predict human behaviours – in essence implying that the reading of astrological patterns is like reading god's mind; seeing patterns in universal order – and that, secondly, that the immediate, local, environmental configurations have less of a determining impact than distant ones – in effect, implying that the immediate is a reflection of the distant, or that DNA sequences (nature), and personal experiences (nurture), are less significant in determining organic behaviours than are cosmological patterns and planetary configurations, i.e., what is being insinuated is that genetics and memetics have less of an impact on the development of human character and personality than do the arrangements and seasonal effects of planetary relationships – in brief, that mankind can be more precisely categorized astrologically, by date of birth, than it can be categorized genetically, by race and sex, or even memetically by culture, upbringing, traditions, education etc. The implication is that people born under the same astrological configurations have more in common than they do with those born of the same parents, belonging to the same race and cultivated within the same culture.
*The most needy and desperate are the most loyal customers of superstition peddlers. Every tribe’s lowly inheritors of natural selection’s cruelties finds in universals a community they can relate with on a level they cannot with those of their own kind. The supernatural becomes a bridge to overcome nature’s indifferent injustices.
