If we turn to the Vikings, things are just as bad. Yet, many modern worship and idealize these peoples, while at the same time they deny any virtue to those they despise and routinely use as symbols of everything they hate – because they represent everything they fear.
If we cross the oceans of space and time we will find in the beliefs and practices of the ancient Inca and Aztec behaviours that would make the most vicious SS officer cringe. The only difference is technology and it’s multiplying factor.
Can we imagine what Dorian tribes would do with Second World War weaponry and technology, given their beliefs? Do we dare?

I get the impression that Europe is getting bad international press recently.
