Faustian "boundless infinity" - expanding space/time with no absolutes, is what terrifies nihilists: both positive nihilists who create absolute abstractions as alternatives to a cosmos that denies their existence, and pure nihilists who find in the absolute nil their salvation in self-annulment - most of who also want to bring the world into this vortex of negativity before they surrender to it themselves.
Nihilism characterized by absolute poles - binaries/ dualities, the brain's modus operandi.
An organ evolved to help an organism survive in a fluctuating interactive indifferent uncertain cosmos is now the source of its salvation myths and ideological absolutions - mind tuning inward to save itself from a world it cannot cope with - a mostly counter-intuitive existence comforting it, forcing it to fight or flee.
Nihilistic linguistics are a form of flight - concealment, Lethe; the fleeing victim concealing itself in semiotics, hoping the world will pass by, leaving it alone.
