I personally think that; ‘no more shall we part’ is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard!
I especially like the track; ‘until we came along this road’ with lines like..

I left by the back door, with my lovers smoking’ gun

The worlds spinning beneath me ma

Simple lines with such deep and provocative meaning, I suppose you got to be in that place to understand the meanings.

Nick Cave? Who's that?

He’s one of those artists who never gets the recognition he deserves, has a fairly massive worldwide cultish fan base. I am surprised you don’t know him, he seams right up your street philosophically ~ not that I know you that well.
