Creating ugliness inspires the mind to seek in death, in self-annihilation, relief.
It's a way of decreasing resistance.

I think that among the pictures I posted, one in particular shows a lot of ugliness, of hatred and fomenting fear, feelings of defeat, powerlessness, being at the mercy etc., in short: of destruction: it is the picture of the "Habitat 67" in Montreal, "built" by "Moshe Safdie".
