I'd like to start this thread dedicated to the art and beauty of dancing.
Here is a good dub dancer i like. Some dub music has been taken to mainstream subversion making it rather obnoxious, but i enjoy the more calmer and ethereal style that it should be. The way a dancer captures the beats in his movements i find to be impressive and interesting.
In this one it's almost as if he is possessed by the music. Very neat:

I have become a fan of "So you think you can Dance?". It's poetry of motion....or in motion.
I don't think you can lie when expressing yourself through dancing, or movement, as actions are honest and words are cheap.
I've always considered prose, or poetry, or a good musical piece, a form of actions beyond the physical. you can't lie when writing prose or poetry...you can't pretend. You can try but it becomes obvious...as it does in dance or any physical action.

Of course for the Greeks dancing is a part of life, and expressing one's love for it.
The, dervish like, spinning and leaping a metaphor for wanting to escape the earthly bounds and rise above the base.
These dances were performed by males, back in the day, before they were cheapened into a modern day display where even women could participate because the spirit of the dance had been eradicated and made into a consumer good.
Someone no longer afraid of zombies relying on gun-support - was just checking; I wonder where that puts you...?
I would preferably want to use my fists or a shield/sword but if i have to use guns then that is the hand i was dealt. I wonder if "PTSD" is a modern thing due to guns, at least with an archer you could relatively see your death coming.

Have you wondered if "SD" is a modern thing? Lower the thresholds and categorize them as SD while in another era, perhaps anxiety was a positive catalyst, churning the body, keeping it active. The only detail being in modernity, the "fall-back" on family and the kinship net that worked in other times to absorb the impact is now not there... and so. Do you have symptoms?

Thats probably true, the modern workplace in general doesnt give much outlet for that stress like before, and the outlets that we do have dont produce anything as all we are allowed to do is consume consume consume.

Well i still need to work on myself before i can effectively build up anything... but at this point i would like to help build a home for those like me that have higher standards for life and arent satisfied with the hum of the meek. I want to build a new "rite of passage" for my progeny. I want to experience meaningful love, art, music, and battle firsthand. I would like to see a community where smiles are common and you dont just "pass people by" on the streets. I would want to see a market where some things are priceless.
A world where I use "We" more often instead of "I".
I want to see a society where Satyrs are free to frolic as they please.

Yes. And so we have a film like Fight Club. We also have a film like 'Silmido' which is heart-wrenching...
Plato tried to "soften" the warriors in a period of barbaric energy, while N. tried to "harden" the warrior in a period of spiritual domestication and decadence; they both meet at a common equilibrium from opposite ends. So its not stress per se that is either good or bad or evil, but the climate you're thrown in.

Nice, beautiful; one has to wonder how far Guns can take you to implement a real barbarism - those of im-pressing Memes... I see some people relate Impatience and pent-up pressure, that kind of barbarism of "Force" with a new age, but real strength is not about force, Attitude.... the Barbaric Attitude can be as coolly vicious as refusing to be rushed on the one hand or refusing to be thrown off the back of the 'tiger' on the other, and so Savitri Devi captures the image of the three 'barbarians' - the Man in Time, the Man against Time, and the Man above Time

With PTSD there is demonstrable physical trauma to the neuro fibers of the brain, detected by fMRI. Regular MRIs cannot scan this damage, hence recurrent misdiagnoses as a distinct psychological disorder.
One of the first recorded cases of PTSD is alluded to in Homer's Odyssey through Odysseus' struggles.

In addition, soldiers in ancient Greece didn’t suffer from social isolation, prolonged artillery bombardment or exhaustion in the way that their modern-day counterparts do.
He said: “One of the causes of PTSD is when you have no ability to take direct action – you can’t evade or remove a threat,. For example, sitting under shellfire is psychologically malignant. For ancient Greeks that wasn’t a problem – they could take direct action, they could either run away from their enemy or they could kill him.”
He added that there were also factors in the ancient world that could actually protect soldiers from PTSD, particularly the normalcy of killing created by living in an ultraviolent society.
He said: “They were surrounded by violence and death in their daily life. You were conditioned to deploy violence and that wasn’t seen as transgressive, it was seen as the morally right thing to do. Modern soldiers, if they kill an enemy soldier have the unjust feeling of doing something wrong. That feeling, that ‘I’ve done something I shouldn’t have’, was entirely absent in ancient society.”
Dr Crowley concluded by saying: “PTSD is not universal – it’s historically and culturally specific and when we treat soldiers we should do so on that basis, not that everyone is the same. The people who compared the Vietnam veterans to Achilles meant well, but they are doing the soldiers a disservice.”
