Eventually governments everywhere will control the entirety of the internet in the near future. When they start making internet identification mandatory for everybody the Joker will disappear from the internet altogether. I will not even give warning of my disappearance from the internet when this happens.
I will simply disappear from the electronic grid.
No doubt there will be groups that will target political and social dissidents when all of this begins. You will be ostracized from your job, home, neighborhood, community, and so on when they're done targeting you as a dissident. They might even try to do worse.
Think of them as the internet version of the Stasi.

It's in the goverments/establishments best interest to have a paranoid public. Survival instincts activated; productivity massively increased. Less crime and so on, you get the jist of it I hope.

Oligarchy has only one main end; to perpetuate oligarchy. If everyting would stay the same ad infinitum there would be NO reason for them to change tactics. So everything has to be a reaction to someting. What might that something be? Greater and greater autonomy to smaller and smaller collectives? More and more peer-to-peer surpassing the system, making the system irrelevant? Less and less top-down?
