Is it possible/preferable?

This is debate that lies in the deep area of my brain. The Sun wont last.
My male attitude leads me to say yes, but i cant help but see that the only attempts that have been made, were made under a nihilistic sheltering environment, an environment that has done much damage to the earth, both physically and spiritually.

Will another cycle of nihilism be necessary to travel further into space? Or can it be achieved in a harsh, Pagan environment?

The resources needed lead me to believe the former.

Or is the Earth our place to die, connected with our roots.

He forgot to mention that toll space takes on the body is far more extreme than the effects of naval or aerial travel.

When I'm 140 (with all manner of prosthetic parts) I intend to be out there, digging pitchblende out of asteroids.

Earth is crowded (physically and culturally). We need breathing room.

Depends what you mean by Pagan. I kind of get the vibe that you mean a forest in the woods, with hardly any technology. We need technology to get into space.
By the time the sun explodes we will already have the genetics technology to triple our IQ. Once the average IQ is tripled we will be able to colonize other planets. Also, we will have artificial gravity on spaceships, and greenhouse environments and probiotic microbes so it will be healthy.
