Russia is self-sufficient in all things - except some food stuffs - and it still sells gas and petrol and resources to many nations, including the west.

-Russians and Chinese populations have expriences with poverty and hard times.
Americans are spoiled by comparison and have no stomach for the levels of sufering other peoples can and have endured.
Americans know not what war truly is. All they know is what they've been brainwashed through Hollywood and the Media.

-Russia, and china, are multi-ethno-states, with a distinct and clear dominant ethnicity.
The west - outside Europe's vasal states - are not ethno-states but nation-states, united by an idea, an ideology - usually described as "freedom" and the hedonistic ideal concealed in the term "happiness", viz., "pursuit of happiness".

Turkey is moving closer to Russia as long as Russia is doing well on the Ukrainian battlefield and flourishing despite western economic sanctions.

They also see India taking advantage of the west’s oil embargo and gas selling Russian oil to western nations to get around the sanctions and they want a piece of the pie.
If Ukraine collapses completely or suffers a big defeat and the west doesn’t react, then Turkey will make a big move in Syria or the Ægean.
