Nature made males to be the expendable sex. The sex that has to rove itself worthy to the female - female being a genetic & memetic filtering agency.
They produce brilliance and idiocy.
Male masculinity, and self-esteem, depends on female judgment. This makes males dependent on females for their sense of self-worth.
Females despise paternalism because males invented it to integrate more of their kin into a cohesive unity. This takes away their filtering agency and forces them to mate with mediocre, and often inferior, males.
They experience this as a kind of 'intrusion' upon their being; aggression - rape.
Unable to do anything about it, until recently, they vent on males.
Females hate anything that decreases their sexual power.
Males intuitively know that they would not have a female if not for paternalism, that strictly controls male and female sexual drives.
For males it is not so bad, because they are willing to sacrifice variety to preserve group cohesion and power - particularly when the group is genetically homogeneous.
For females it is extremely bad, as it forces them to go against their sexual agency, which is their only source of power.
This means males are insecure, even if they do have a female as a mate.
In the chart we have the general groupings of male sexual status....
The top two and bottom two are where females display their power over males.
The top two use K/ reproductive strategies, and the bottom two try to use r/ methods.
In Modern times the
Alpha spot is monopolized by the institution; the abstraction of Maleness- it can be God or the State.
The Institution is the alpha but the biological alphas still have an impact on female sexual desire.
They may be raised to idealize he memetic ideal, represented in art and by the abstraction, but their bodies still respond to the
biological alpha.
These we call, these days, the
playas (bad boys)....and the system has imposed strict rules to decrease their biological influence.
Because the alpha is abstracted it can be represented by anyone - even children and females...so the alpha abstraction of masculinity can be represented by a woman.
This contributes to the current identity crisis, because it implies that masculinity is an abstraction and not an essence, a presence.
In the middle of the chart we have the 'gammas' which are, by far, the most interesting males, for me.
I would include many famous philosophers in this category. At least the good ones.
They come the closest to true indifference, and not the kind characterizing the alphas, which is an indifference born of abundance.
For gammas sex is like any other need....interesting, pleasing, but not the centre of their existence.
Like with food...they can enjoy a nice meal, cooked by a good cook, but they will not go to extremes to eat the food daily, nor do they judge themselves by the quality of food they consume.
This frees their minds to explore other aspects of existence, and to see life as it truly is, not blurred by sexual desire.
This comes across as the same indifference alphas are known for, making gammas fascinating to females, who cannot understand, so they judge by what they know.
And what females know is sex, and how males need it and will do practically anything to get it. So, females mistake gammas for alphas or omegas.
They cannot understand anything outside their relationship/sex, dynamics.
