Traditional Clothes / Costumes and Techniques

The title says it all; no Lady Gaga and pop-degeneracy:

My family from my father's lineage are generations of tailors; my great grandfather from Germany made and repaired uniforms for the members of the National Socialists Movement - though some of the technique and knowledge was passed on to my father and no further, he did nothing with it eventually.



Here some photo's I took from museums in Tbilisi; Georgians have as much of regional diversty in dance, music, instruments, dialects and languages as they have in traditional costumes; many of them simply are amazing and I hope for a succesful request for an exhibition of these costumes in the State Museum. I would love to learn to make them but I cannot take too much upon my shoulders (at once) with little time related to an decrease of money saving.
