Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Empty
PostSubject: Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality EmptySat Jan 05, 2019 8:10 am

What would a continuously ordering organism find attractive?
Space is possibility. Both awe inspiring and terrifying. Order, in this expanse of possibility, would be defined as probability, named matter/energy.
Probability is what man finds beautiful and what he feels as power. Probability is the unfolding of potential within the possible.
What would man call empowering, in the expanding possible, but the probable he can perceive, and by perceiving it he could react to and, perhaps, learn to control, and direct? Freedom in this expanding possible would be both empowering in its certainty, its order, and terrifying in its uncertainty, its chaos.
What inspires man is what is superior to him in order, in probabilities – a matter of degree.
Beauty, being the ordered – symmetrical – fills man with desire, and proportionality, symmetry's pragmatic, adjustment to order/chaos, is the promise... the potential.
This fills man with joy.

Φ
Organically the absence of absolutes means relationships must take form within a fluid, (inter)active cosmos, achieving a higher and/or lower degree of symmetry, and necessarily incorporating functionality as a compromise made to Flux.
Attraction is drawn to symmetry of body parts – of organs – and to how they relate – their functionality within a particular environment – and in relation to an evolved method of self-preservation, and growth; this is what is appreciate as organic proportions, exhibiting fitness and health and most of all resistance to parasites and dis-eases. [ MANifesto: Race – Appearances – Aesthetics – Beauty]

Φ
Symmetry & Proportionality
Tonal arrangements producing a pleasing melody are examples of patterns relating harmoniously (attraction/repulsion dominated by attraction).
Melody is the experience of vibrations/oscillations (patterns) (inter)acting with minimal dissonance (friction), caused by a conflict in their patterns.
Music is the purest form of symmetry and how patterns (inter)act, because they are not limited and directed by a function, founded on need/suffering – they are not physical.
In organisms the factor of functionality has to be taken into account when judging symmetry. Survival necessities impose upon the organism a functional form where symmetry becomes a matter of proportionality.
For example, the waist/hip ratio, men find attractive in the female form, is a product of reproductive functionality – female sexual specialization – and for men the chest/hip ratio is a product of hunting functionality. Wider hips and lung capacities indicate fitness in child birthing and implies an advantage in the demands of hunting and defending, requiring some form of cardiovascular exertion.
Proportionality can also be used to impress, displaying functionality.

Φ
Exaggerated Proportionality
In the case of self-handicapping, a peacock does not only display the symmetry of its tail, but also the tail’s exaggerated proportions in relation to the rest of the organs.
Disproportionality becomes a sign of impressive fitness, relative to the environmental demands on physical balance and speed – it is unfitness developed to outperform challengers; exhibiting a burden an organism can bear and still survive as an indication of overall potentials. [ MANifesto: Sex]
The organism grows a detrimental to its functionality organ/limb, to signal its virility, condemning it to a short life – selfish genes.
In most species proportional forms – with optimum functionality as the guiding principle – result in balance, speed, flexibility, efficiency of movement (eloquence), or a superiority in the direction of its survival specialization.

Φ
Specialization enhances body-parts to accentuate their functionality, at the cost of its other functions. Unlike music, or other forms of inorganic patterns in congruence, living organisms have to sacrifice perfect symmetry to utility. Symmetry is expressed as proportionality, displaying the individual organism’s functional potential.

Φ
A fine line between order – expressed as symmetry – and proportionality – expressed by function.
The ordering organism must survive within a fluctuating cosmos, and therefore it makes compromises for the sake of functionality; a sacrifice is the compromise made to change, and the presence of chaos.
If it were a matter of achieving perfect order, or the absolute, an organism, like matter would settles on a fluid sphere, but then it would be as fragile and ephemeral as a soap bubble.

Φ
Functionality is an organic compromises made to Flux. Therefore beauty is characterized by symmetry incorporating functionality as organ proportionality. This is demonstrated by the fitness triggering displays of body/waist proportions, as well as the ratio between fat, and mass.
In women, in particular, the distortional hip/waist ration may indicate physical difficulties in regards to conception and gestation, and disproportional fat/mass ratios may trigger a cessation of their menstrual cycle.
Nature switching off fertility when the female crosses the line into unfitness.
With males this does not seem to be the case, because unfitness is selected out by the female’s choice. His unfit hip/chest ratio, and fat/mass ratio is evaluated intuitively by females that have evolved automatic, and unconscious methods to prevent the male from passing on his genes.

Φ
Every species has its own ideal symmetry/proportionality, as this is determined by its reproductive and survival niche strategies.
The ideal proportions of each species determined by environment and the method being used to survive within it.
Therefore, the ideal proportions for a lion are different from those of a cheetah.

Φ
Mental (brain) symmetries and proportionalities are more difficult to perceive and to appreciate.
Mind is projection of brain processes, therefore to engage the individual mentally is necessary in order to determine his/her mental qualities.
Through behaviour, demeanour, choices, judgments, and the use of language, the human mind, in particular, displays its mental symmetry and its psychosomatic proportionality.
What applies in regards to physical self-handicapping, also applies to mental self-handicapping: the individual displaying his mental qualities by the degree of exaggeration it can endure, attempting to impress others.
Hyperbole may be used for this effect.
Human male verbal posturing, using hyperbole, can be placed in this category of mental self-handicapping.
The amount of stress the individual can endure is another example: risk taking (bad boy factor), gambling, self-aggrandizing, are all examples of mental self-handicapping.
Females then compare the proportionality of the exaggeration to the overall performance, just as a peacock’s tail is evaluated, by the female, in relation to the body it is attached to; the tails symmetry and proportionality in itself, being a factor… just as the horns of red deer are not only evaluated in relation to its body, but in itself: its form, its symmetry, its shape.
Similarly, mental posturing is evaluated both in relation to actual performance, and in itself, judged by its qualities in relation to its own hyperbolic linguistic displays. In other words, the hyperbole – a lie is always the exaggeration of the truth – is evaluated in relation to reality, but also in itself: how self-consistent and harmonious with its own hyperbolic posturing it remains.
The ‘goal’ here is not to discover the ‘truth,’ or what is most probable, but to evaluate the individual’s performance in relation to reality: how much pretence and how many lies it can endure and still survive.

Symmetry (order) sacrifices its 'perfection, in a world that also includes the unforeseeable (chaos).
Functionality is the relationship of organism and fluctuating environment.
The physical/mental proportions of the organism indicating a hierarchy, manifesting in attitude (psychology), as this is determined by the evolved strategies the organism has evolved to self-preserve and to self-replicate.
Proportional organs, physical/mental form, displays the ideal type for each particular species.

We call this 'fitness' or 'health'.

A pattern, an energy vibration/oscillation - a musical note - is a form of symmetry. It IS symmetry.
Its sequence, tone, rhythm is what determines how it will be interpreted by a concious organism.
This is what types, kinds, categories refer to.

Proportionality is how these different patterns are shaped by constant (inter)activity.
A cell, an atom, is a organization of two or more patterns.
Their inter-relationships are their proportions, finding balance.
The repulsive force between two patterns - a product of disharmony - counterbalanced by a third.
The third pattern acts as a balancing intermediating.
This is how complex particles are formed.

When the mind perceives a unity it is interpreting the proportions of attraction/repulsion, as these are determined by the participating patterns.
The mind is translating these proportions as a 'unity'.

The deceitful, duplicitous nature of the female, derives from their biological imperative to self-protect. Their sexual selective impulse. The modern female is controlled by mollycoddled notions about personality traits because the idea that something can surpass, or be more attractive than looks, appeals to their whimsical natures of idealism. Females love idealism; the rosy, feel good type. This is why every female loves the “idea” of her white knight, they all have their little school girl romantic in them, but they are put in their place when reality contradicts it with raw physical prowess. Nature is primal, and this naturally perturbs females, frightens them. A delusion or modern mythology, which suggests that this can be overcome by something more indirect, like personality, puts them at ease. At least for the moment.

Even a rare high IQ female will initially find great value and attractiveness in the competence of a male’s intellect, but if he cannot offer resources or superior genetics, this will begin to diminish into discontent on her part that “something more” is missing and she will rationalize it as her need to separate and ‘find herself’, believing she has some special spiritual awareness.

Sex is, for a female, the only form of 'power' she can possess.
The social dimensions are implied, because female power is only effective within the species, and is useless outside of it.
Human female charms will have zero impact on a dog or a cat.

The feminine develops linguistics as a form of social manipulation and exploitation.
Females develop linguistically faster than males....but then they reach a peak some men exceed.
Language is a social tool, like female beauty, only effective within the species, and the group, because one has to learn to decipher symbols according to group conventions.
She both enjoys using and being used by language.
Language is how a man can dominate her mentally, before he dominates her physically - sex, for a human female, goes from the mind towards the body, while her sexuality goes from the body towards the mind; a male's sexuality goes from body to mind, and he expresses it from mind to body - the reverse.

The Roman "νους υγιής εν σώματι υγιεί", 'healthy mind in healthy body' is a masculine attitude.
The mind can only be healthy in a healthy body - attraction, representing genetic health, begins, for a male, with the physical - physical attraction.
For females it begins with mind.

Deceit is important when you are physically inferior.
This corresponds to those tribes who have adopted linguistics as a form of deceit - a feminine strategy.
It's most obvious in how females accentuate their physical appearance - this is a form of deception.

Self-deceit is in play.
A female falls in and out of love, so quickly and easily, that it exposes a shallow evaluation and surrendering to the apparent.
She will never admit that her 'passion' - her 'love' - is founded on materialistic and corporeal instinctive judgements - most don't even know it themselves. Females have little 'self-knowledge', and this makes them more resistant to Nihilism.

They feel things.
They say 'chemistry' to indicate the subconscious judgements they've made.
The body judges automatically, like it defends itself through the autoimmune system and breathes and digests and pumps blood. It requires no input from the brain.
It's the primal physical that goes back to plants and simpler organic life.
These automatic reactions, processes, judgements, the mind experiences as if it was imposed upon it, from without, or as if someone else was involved.
Many women think of 'love/lust' in terms of mystical, magical powers they cannot understand but they can feel and give-into. They lust, but experience it as 'love' - mystifying, purifying the feeling involved.
They experience it spiritually-  where mind/body synthesizes - neurologically.
That's what 'spirit' alludes to: the nervous system, where language is founded, and where mind/body merge.

Males, usually, can differentiate 'lust' from 'love' or 'eros' from 'agape' - body from mind.
They can differentiate between wanting to 'fuck' a female, and feeling something more like kinship.

No Camille, you stupid lesbo....we value beauty not because it is transient, but it is transient because it is hard, representing the emergence of symmetry and proportionality in a fluctuating existence.
We value higher forms of beauty, for the same reason we value higher forms of order.

We value beauty because it represents successful resistance, or potentials, i.e., probability...another way of saying order.

'Because it is transient', aka 'novel'. Mistaking the discovery of a novelty as 'luck' when it is from discipline. All econotheists (capitalists, Marxists, etc.) equating value with vain novelty

McGilchrist, Iain wrote:
Will
Our primary being lies in a disposition towards the world – certainly not in a thought, or a whole panoply of thoughts, about the world, not even in a feeling or feelings about the world as such.
Willing, like believing, with which I think it shares some properties, is thus better thought of as a matter of a disposition towards the world. The left-hemisphere disposition towards the world is that of use. Philosophy being a hyperconscious cognitive process, it may be hard to get away from the left hemisphere's perspective that will is about control, and must lie in the conscious left hemisphere. But if our disposition towards the world, our relationship with it, alters, will has a different meaning. The disposition of the right hemisphere, the nature of its attention to the world, is one of care, rather than control. Its will relates to a desire or longing towards something, something that lies beyond itself, towards the Other.

[The Master and His Emissary - The Divided Brain and the Making of the Western World]
In the context of the ‘absent absolute’, the left-hemisphere longs for power, imagined as omnipotence, an all-encompassing control – as all that is alien, or absent, acquires extraordinary proportions – and the right-hemisphere longs for completion, finality (death wish) – synthesis with the absolute other (omniscience) – imagined as god, the all-knowing. Both long for the near-absolute point in the past, when chaos/order almost merged into a singularity – represented by the easterners as Yin/Yang. For the left-hemisphere it is the right that is idealized; for the right-hemisphere it is the left; in effect, both long for the other – one to dominate, the other to submit.
If, as McGilchrist claims, the current post-modern world overemphasizes the left-hemisphere, then it is there where its alienation from itself takes the form of a mystical otherness – alienation from the physical; contrarily, a right-hemisphere domination would relate to the other as an omnipotent stranger it must submit to; it must belong to (god is mind – called spirit, i.e., that which lacks tangible, corporeal physicality; idea).
If we recall the insights of Jaynes, then the image is completed. Primitive man experienced his own emerging consciousness as a stranger speaking to him inside his own mind – conscience; left-hemisphere speaking to the right, and it experiencing this as a strange, incorporeal, essence imposing itself, wilfully, upon it; taking control.
Brain asymmetry reflecting an absence of absolute symmetry; body adopting proportionality as a sacrifice to this need to deal with chaos – necessity. Proportionality indicating utility. Yet, symmetry still attracts, because it represents health and genetic quality, capable of attaining symmetry to a higher degree than the average, i.e., facial and physical symmetry attracting and seducing physically, whereas mental symmetry attracting and seducing mentally; synthesis of the two being the ideal.

Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Empty
PostSubject: Re: Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality EmptyWed Mar 11, 2020 10:15 am

Mcgilchrist, Iain wrote:
Symmetry is an intriguing concept. In the abstract it is undoubtedly appealing at a very deep level.
The word itself means equal measure, and it is a feature of all the ideal typical shapes of ‘regular solids’ beloved of the Greeks. In mathematics the term refers not just to symmetry about an axis, but to any procedure which one can perform on an object and leave it unchanged. It also signifies independence from contingency – in other words, universality: if a law obeys symmetry, it is universally applicable. Newtonian mechanics obey symmetry. All these meanings ally it with the realm of stasis, of universals, of simple, ideal forms: the left hemisphere. Oddly, though, symmetry does not appear in the phenomenal world, although it is approximated by living things, which on closer inspection are, however, like the brain, not truly symmetrical, and are constantly moving and
changing. And, though it is often stated that animals find symmetry in a mate attractive, humans appear not, in fact, to share such preferences. Even in cases where symmetry is clocked as more healthy, it is still experienced as less attractive. In fact symmetry in living faces, because it suggests something mechanical and unreal, borders on the uncanny, a perception that lies behind ‘the fearful symmetry’ of Blake's tiger. And, as one might expect, in portraiture of the Enlightenment ‘faces generally are represented more symmetrically than in any other Western style’, according to F. D. Martin. ‘That is one of the reasons why this portraiture is, as Wilde puts it, “once seen, never remembered”.’
Symmetry – in poetry, in music, in architecture, in prose and in thought – was perhaps the ultimately guiding aesthetic principle of the Enlightenment. There is a relationship between symmetry and two other important Enlightenment qualities, both of them allied to the preferences of the left hemisphere: stasis and equality.
The relationship between the left hemisphere and equality is a consequence of its categorical method. Where one is dealing with individual people or things, when one respects the contingencies of the situation in which they find themselves, and by which they are modified, when one accepts that the things or persons themselves and the context are continually subject to change, no two entities are ever equal in any respect. (Cassirer notes that in Arabic there are between five and six thousand terms for ‘camel’, the category for which we have one.) However, once the items are classified and entered into categories, they become equal: at least from the standpoint of the categoriser every member of the category can be substituted by any other member of the category. In that sense there is an equalising drive built into the categorising system. But the categories themselves are nonetheless arranged in a hierarchical taxonomy, which means that, while the individual variations of living things are flattened out, the differences between categories become where the inequality resides.
So it is with the left hemisphere and stasis. Because the left hemisphere is dealing with things that are known, they have to have a degree of fixity: if their constantly changing nature is respected, they cannot be known. To the left hemisphere, a thing once known does not change, though it may move, or be moved, atomistically, according to the will, and it must indeed be made to move to fit in with the categorisations of the left hemisphere's will. Thus, where the left-hemisphere world obtains, the continual change and the individual differences of actual living things are exchanged for stasis and equality, as the butterfly is skewered, unmoving, a specimen in the collector's cabinet. At the same time, however, the left hemisphere achieves, through this process, power to manipulate, which I would claim has always been its drive. Power inevitably leads to inequality: some categories of things are more useful, and therefore more valued, than others. So the differences inherent in actual individual things or beings are lost, but those derived from the system are substituted. Similarly, though the thing itself no longer changes, manipulation inevitably leads to change: the recalcitrance of the particular is subjected to the Procrustean bed of the category it represents. So the changing, evolving nature of individual things or beings is lost, but those changes demanded by the system are
substituted. And change and difference, outlawed at the individual level, return by the back door.

Broken symmetry is what makes existence possible.
Order/Chaos - patterned/non-patterned energies.
Broken symmetry is what necessitates free-will, and what we call 'higher" consciousness.
Broken symmetry is what absence of absolute means.
It is why we so appreciate and are attracted to symmetry and proportionality.

Beauty physically displays symmetry, in a fluctuating cosmos and proportionality, as a successful adaptation to chaos necessitating functionality; character does the same with more inconspicuous means, displaying mental symmetry and psychological proportionality. Both inspire others to resent, and strive to annul it, or to admire, and strive to emulate it, but nobody can remain indifferent to its power, but nobody can remain indifferent to its power of effect.

PostSubject: Re: Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality EmptyFri Oct 09, 2020 5:54 am

Beauty is the subjective evaluation of potentials, i.e., probabilities.

Sexual, erotic, beauty is an evaluation of reproductive fitness and health - to parasites, diseases, etc.
Symmetry/Proportionality displays a resistance to temporal attrition.
Mutations can warp this evaluation - projecting into it one's own psychosis, e.g., pædophilia, bestiality, homosexuality etc.

Symmetry = degree of order.
Proportionality = degree of functionality, reactive potentials, within fluctuating existence, which includes chaos, i.e., random energies.

Aesthetic beauty may also be the evaluation of probabilities, within a fluctuating field of possibilities - order within space/time - e.g., the appreciation of a panorama, a flower, a soap bubble, a sequence of notes, a texture, etc.

PostSubject: Re: Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality EmptySun Nov 15, 2020 12:21 pm

Once more to clarify for imbeciles....

Beauty is about evaluated potentials.
To put it metaphysically, it is the evaluation - judgment - of probabilities in an expanding field of possibilities, i.e., expanding space/time that includes both patterned (ordering) and non-patterned (random) energies - temporal arrow, in relation to conscious life, is towards increasing chaos; therefore life - dependent on order - appreciates all forms of order - it is all it can ever perceive.

What is order?
Repeating, predictable, consistent, sequences.
Ergo, beauty is the appreciation of higher, relative to self, symmetry, and proportionality is the adjustment of symmetry to randomness - pragmatism expressing functionality.
Beauty is therefore the appreciation of symmetry and proportionality - resistance to temporal attrition, to environmental changes, to parasites, and the appreciation, evaluation of potential reproductive success.

To put it laconically, it is the evaluation of potentials...even when we find beauty in a scene, a field, a mountain, we appreciate unknown potentials, i.e., inconceivable probabilities.

PostSubject: Re: Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality EmptySun Nov 15, 2020 3:23 pm

To put it even more simply, for the real retarded and degenerates out there...

Why do we appreciate or why are we attracted, seduced, by organic beauty?
Because it is a higher form of order, in a cosmos veering towards increasing chaos.

Why are we attracted, seduced by certain physical proportions?
Because it indicates a higher probability of success in reproduction and in resisting viruses, diseases, and a variety of environmental threats; indicating a higher degree of functionality within a fluctuating, uncertain, cosmos.

Why do we appreciate a beautiful scene, a vista, a rock formation, a forest, an ocean wave etc.?
Because it indicates probabilities in a world of uncertain, unpredictability.

We appreciate in all these cases unrealized potentials, i.e., unrealized probabilities.

Why?
Because life is reliant on probabilities, i.e., order.
Life feeds on it, is inspired by it, is seduced by it, wants to enhance and cultivate it, wants to appropriate and own it....

There is nothing subjective about beauty. What is subjective is its recognition and appreciation, and this subjectivity is what determines success and failure.
And how does man evaluate success/failure.
By the consequences in relation to his/her expectations, judgments, projections, theories, ideal.
Subjectivity is what a corruption of judgment is called to excuse it from the repercussions of its demented, warped judgements - caused by its pathology.

Nothing has intrinsic value because value is a product of an evaluation, i.e., a judgement, relative to an goal, an ideal, a telos, an objective and these can only be the product of living beings.

*edit*
That would make romantic idealism a appreciation of unrealistic potentials that will never be realized because they can never be realized in this reality, but only in an alternative reality existing only in the mind of the naïve or the desperate, turning to degeneracy to cope with their constant failures.

Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Empty
PostSubject: Re: Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality EmptySun Nov 15, 2020 4:14 pm

For the really, really obtuse and degenerate...
What do we appreciate as beautiful when it comes to a sexual partner?
It is his/her physical symmetry, hinting at temporal potentials, resistance to change, etc., and his/her organ proportionalities  - 7/10 - hair and skin smoothness, shine, eye clarity hinting at mental health promising fertility, resistance to parasites, health...
"Charm" is what we call mental proportionality - expressed verbally through verbal eloquence, or humour etc.
"Intelligence" is what we call mental symmetry - expressed through complex concepts being linguistically simplified, perception and incorporation of details into cohesive models etc.

We evolved to appreciate it as an indication of health and fertility.
Why so many paraphilias and fetishes that are attracted by unfitness, disproportionality etc.
Because we've created a system within which consequences are distributed within the collective; allowed to survive and helped to flourish, never pressured to learn form their mistakes and to adjust their choices, and behaviours; we've created a system that protects idiocy and degeneracy, preserving and propagating the mutations they express.
We've created an environment that protects individuals from their own errors in judgement - whether they be unintentional or a product of accumulating unfit mutations - see Dutton's "spiteful mutants" vids, or read my posts on "desperate degenerates".

When a heard is sheltered it becomes ill. We see this accumulating illness expressed in the current political circumstances.
There was a time when great wars eliminated them, but in this nuclear age what will cull the heard?
Pandemics?
Like when the Black Plague made the "Renaissance" possible, producing modernity, which laid the groundwork for post-modernity?
Here we are, once more, before the crucible.

Oh and one last thing, before a hiatus, spending my time in an undisclosed internet location...

Ta, Ta,

Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Empty
PostSubject: Re: Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality Beauty - Symmetry/Proportinality EmptyWed Nov 18, 2020 7:19 pm

Simpletons confuse effect for cause. Nihilism inverts the sequence but I will not get into that.

A typical modern simpleton mistakes the interpretation for the interpreted - symbolic word for the symbolized apparent.
So, it is natural that when it comes to beauty they would confuse how another makes them feel for what they are.
For example, an obese, unattractive individual can make us feel good, or make us feel attractive, and comfortable....and this feeling we may call "beautiful"; conversely a very attractive individual can make us feel bad, and ugly, and uncomfortable, and we call this "ugly".
This is where the subjective interpretation is intentionally confused for the objectively present.
We've evolved to appreciate symmetry/proportionality and not to misinterpret nor to ignore it, because in nature it is a matter of life and death.
Confusing the effect upon us for the essence of another is like assuming that all subjectivity is equally valid because it makes us feel good to believe that it is so.

All life evolved a priori methods of interpreting fluctuating existence, discerning and discriminating between inferior and superior, worse and better, fit and unfit, so man automatically responds and recognizes beauty, as an evaluation of genetic potentials/probabilities, viz., in the context of heterosexual reproduction, to automatically recognize fit from unfit, health from disease, fertile from infertile etc.
There is no social engineering. Culture only determines the packaging, the symbols that will be associated with attractiveness, just as culture determines how food is prepared and presented but the ingredients man finds tasty remain the same.
I've explained elsewhere how taste is founded on organic hierarchies and metabolic rhythms, establishing which organic elements will require more frequent replenishment; determining what kinds of nutrients man will have a particular taste for - the accessibility of these elements in a particular environment will contribute to this determining factor, i.e., more rare, difficult to acquire elements will be highly valued and will require more frequent replenishment and man will develop a taste for.
This is also true for beauty - physical/mental symmetry/proportionality - the closer to perfection the symmetry, the more refined the proportionality, the rarer it is, and therefore it becomes more seductive, more attractive, more coveted.
Its promise/potential increases in a cosmos with a specific temporal direction, i.e., towards increasing chaos.

In closing...when an individual makes us feel beautiful it does not necessitate that they ought to be beautiful.
We can love an individual despite the fact that they are not physically attractive, because they are mentally attractive.
Here I should mention that in the cycles of life, physical attractiveness tends to atrophy mental attractiveness, and mental attractiveness tends to be cultivated to compensate for physical unattractiveness.
Even though an attractive individual may have higher mental potentials, they do not need to cultivate them to their fullest, whereas an individual with lower potentials may be forced to cultivate them to their fullest.

Ebb and flow.
Like civilizations genetic lines go through cycles.
The deciding force is stress. No pain no gain - no need no progress.
Comfort produces stagnation.
Civilizations, in their end phase - see US - are characterized by their slow decline into idiocy and desperate degeneracy - flooded by hordes of desperate peoples looking for salvation; similarly a family bloodline reaches a peak and then is burdened with hedonism and comfort and depravity, and addictions/obsessions, beginning a slow decline downward.
Modern systems, dependent on order, will mitigate ensuring that bloodlines remain on the top of the socioeconomic hierarchy as long as possible.

Oh and one las thing...before I climb up the hill to my cave...

Ta, Ta,

Beauty, is the appreciation of probabilities, as a way of coping with multiplying possibilities.
An echo of the past, when a state of near-absolute order failed to manifest, resulting in expanding tumultuous existence, and like all past we recall it, nostalgically, cleansed of its imperfections, as if it had been absolutely one, positive, good, whole.
Proportionality is the sacrifice, in form, of its non-completion, its imperfection.
Organic proportionality indicated performance potentials, or efficiency to struggle, to fight, to work towards completing what could never be complete.

And so, symmetry indicates resistance to flux - change - and proportionality indicates the potential to struggle and resist ongoing flux.
And we are attracted to higher levels of both - one of order and the other of species functionality, appreciation in our own species organic proportions expressing evolved reproductive and survival practices.
