Sure, there are moments when we can rely on others for our happiness, but they are but fleeting, and the long-term constant-state-of-a-contented-self is down to the individual to foster in themselves.

This is a natural-default-setting for introverts, but not for extroverts, so I don’t look to others to confirm my relevance and entire existence.. tho mutual appreciation can be appreciated by intros.

Reliance on others leads to inevitable disappointments.

Unhappy ones will want to chop you down and cut you up into manageable logs they can put in the fireplaces that keep their cold bones pliable.
They need external sources of warmth.

Mind is where past is experienced as presence and projected as abstraction into the future.

Present is existent, where life participates in determining a future, in accordance or in opposition to the past.
Nihilism is this opposition, contradiction, of past as it manifests in the present; as the body, tangible, experienced.
So all forms of nihilism, from religious to secular hold an animosity towards the body - mind/body dissonance.

Mind is what they refer to when they speak of god, or spirit.
Mind expresses, externalizes itself via semiotics - language - ergo language, words, are divine and magical; words are world creating in the collective minds of nihilists.

If they simply call themselves a "woman," or a "genius," or "omniscient," or "omnipotent," and they are convicting to other minds they become so.
But they fail, because words may coerce, seduce or bribe other minds into agreement but they cannot alter reality beyond the collective agreement.
World remains indifferent to mind games and words.
They attempt to evade this by redefining world as humanity.
Humanity - the organism that can be affected by semiotics - is world, ergo words are god.
God is the collective - externalized as an ideal the collective aspires to become. It is always in the future.
The future replaces the "beyond" and the "occult".

Messianism is a self-fulfillnig prophesy.
Multitudes of minds acting and choosing and thinking in accordance with a conviction increases the probability of its realization - mass psychosis.
For example, millions of minds believing in ghosts or UFO's may not make them real but it makes their believe ubiquitous, and as good as real.
If a collective acts, thinks, chooses in accordance with a shared conviction then it is as good as real within their collective.
Similarly, if a collective acts and thinks and chooses in accordance with a shared conviction that Armageddon is imminent, then it is as good as real - they make it happen collectively.

Having said that....insanity can reach a point where it threatens even those who remain sane, in a world with no accessible frontiers and where humanity = world & world = humanity.\

Insanity does not leave you alone.
The pagans did not forcefully convert, but the Abrahamics must proselytize or massacre, or they must impose what they have been entrusted by a divine power - Messianism spares nobody.

Spirituality can be defined as man's relationship to the cosmos - existence.
