Having started my studies, I have little time to dedicate to these forums. However, I still like to glance over posts when I get a spare minute, even if I am without a chance to respond. As such, I was curious: if I upload a picture of myself, might you fine thinkers attempt a psychoanalysis, or in any case -- a deconstruction, of the person I am? I'd like to be able to read through such attempts.

Sure....but the info will not suffice.
Am image is a static representation when all is activity.

It is how you move, gesture, grimace...your tone of voice, fluctuations when you say specific things and when you do so, even your skin texture and smell.

The image is a representation of your past, not so much how this past interacts with the ongoing world. Oftentimes it is an ideal image...you prefer the ones you look your best in....or they are of moments when you were socializing and at your best.

Nevertheless....I bet Lilith would like to try.

I would need more than a picture. What kind of clothes do you wear usually?

How do you condone yourself in public?

Hearing you conversate with others through ease dropping would be another method of my analysis.

This isn't a simple thing over the internet alone than say a public setting or venue.

I would like to analyze you. Analyzing people in public settings is what I do for fun when I'm bored with nothing else to do with my time.

Judging by the pictures as I have suspected all along your a typical bourgeous yuppie Without Music with what appears to be a general appeal to mass pop culture and conditioning within the backgrounds of your photos.

Your face completely neat and trimmed where it appears that you use a skin moisterizer frequently.

The shirt your wearing with all the picture frames in the background gives you away.

You seem desperate to cling on the popular and to be seen by others around you.

This is where popular media outlets act as your social medium.

The pipe in your hand in the other picture shows your interest of trying to maintain a sense or appearance of smugness and grandeur within the public setting as a sign of individual distinctiveness in that it shows that your constantly seeking the attention of others having it.

Of course mind you photos can only do so much for me.

You look somewhat like Joker described you, but I don't think it's necessarily bad. Joker's taste in style, to him, is a manifestation of his hardcore lifestyle--- camouflage, wife beaters etc

To people like you and me it's just poor taste despite his poor budget. He even criticized how I dress, and believe me when I say it goes as far as JCPenny specials because my dad had some coupons....

That's probably a pretty accurate description. I'm mostly laid-back, but excessively passionate about a few things. Music, no doubt, being one of them. I thought this might be an interesting way to waste some time; I'm not expecting any Zizekian psychoanalytic insights.

Regarding the majority of what Joker posts: I don't consider it worthy of response. This thread follows suit in that regard. A yuppie? Facial moisturizer? The pipe was a friend's; I don't smoke tobacco -- which kind of invalidates that condescending remark about my attention-seeking smugness. More, I'm hardly ever clean-shaven. The first picture is actually a year old. The most recent are the latter two...

I do have a question though. The refraction of light in those glasses is very minor, if at all. It suggests the lenses are not prescription or very weak. Would it be correct to assume you wear them primarily for fashion reasons rather than out of need?

That's strange. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that my lenses are "coated"? I've worn glasses for around four years now; my eyesight has progressively deteriorated and so my prescription has progressively intensified. My lenses are definitely of a high prescription. That said, however, it'd be dishonest to say that "fashion" plays no role in my wearing glasses. I could, after all, wear contacts. I could also have settled for cheaper, more utilitarian frames. Still, in that case, might one not ask whether my choice to switch to contacts was purely aesthetic, or whether my choice of more utilitarian frames stemmed from a Joker-like aestheticism? There seems to be no way out...

I don't think you can read too much into the choice of frames. Most are designer now anyway.
