Well put, definitely one of the reasons. All the sympathies are being hijacked and used for the benefits of the invaders. I left out empathy since these people are not capable of it when they just want to find strangers who have slight inconveniences in their lives and want to help in order to feel like a good person, like these FB groups who help refugees to stay in the country.
But fortunately I can see a lot of good things happening because of Corona, people have less time to spend on made up non-issues when a real crisis actually happens.
After the first week of lockdown normies had their crises, "I can't meet my grandchildren", "I had to cancel my vacation". It's very hard for me to feel sorry for these people.

We should not fear this vermin. As ghastly as all this is. This is exactly what Europeans need to awaken thier thumos, summon thier collective will and unify against the barbarian hoards. Unlike ancient barbarians who still had collective strength and a racial identity, these ones are inferior, degenerate, desperate and without cultural foundations to sustain themselves. They lack the spiritual superiority needed to build civilizations, therefore they wouldn't have the first clue what to do if they were successful in overthrowing the political establishments. The story about being "chosen by the one-god of Abraham" is an allegory for their choice to accept nihilism as a tool, and immerse themselves with it - becoming a symbiotic entity - where other tribes rejected it. This is the secret meaning of their identifying narrative - to submit to the idea of one-god, the nil, and sacrifice themselves for its survival. Bad news for small nations, on the borders, like Greece, Tibet, Iraq,Taiwan, Hong Kong, Ukraine etc.

I've predicted 200 years until total fragmentation, which does not mean the US will be dominant, but will be in a state of constant decline and internal turmoil - with periodic years of peace and stability. 200 years sounds like a long time, but it isn't in historical contexts - 30 years since America's apex have already passed and are gone, leaving another 170 - the final decades will be fragmented. So about 70 or so years of America as we know it.
Rome fragmented into two and continued as formidable empires for a long time before they also collapsed. I expect a similar fate for the American experiment, only worse because as I've noted the US unlike Rome was never racially and culturally cohesive, but it started as a meting-pot gathering the riff-raff from around the western world - when it began gathering it from Asia and Africa, it was the beginning of the end. Millions of Latinos flowing into it, both legally and illegally, from the south cannot help. America's fragmentation will be more unpredictable than that of Rome, which divided along east/west, memetically Catholic/Orthodoxy, genetically Italics/Greeks. Even in fragmentation there was a common genetic foundation that is entirely missing form the American heterogeneous melting-pot.
