The Shaman being feared could be the reason why Shamans felt a need to create superstitions to begin with, if not hedonism and blind self-interesedness. Also, something I considered was that Shamans could have had knowledge which was dangerous, and they acted as 'safekeepers' - no different than keeping nuke schematics top secret; but that were vulnerabilities that only they knew, to keep out of common distribution where bad actors could roam.

The female hatred of masculine scorn for the underhanded and pathetic, is when the underhanded can convince the female of a lie: that a pitiable performance is not inauthentic. The female, if buying the lie, sees the scorn of the masculine as an affront to her own depths of behavior, an affront to the feminine spirit which will do almost anything for a child. It is an attack on her last line of defense as a survival strategy against sociopaths, which ironically, makes her the defender of those very sociopaths; not understanding the male's disgust response to a type which is supremacist and entitled: choosing itself superior and doing any amount of inhumane acts as a 'necessary evil' to protect itself as the 'chosen'.

Therein lies male/female conflict.
The male judges the female that buys into his lies as inferior and the female either does buy into them or pretends to, secretly judging the male as pitiful and ridiculous, not only because he went to such lengths to impress her, but also because he appears to be convinced by her pretence that she believes his lies.

In more sophisticated forms this take the form of flirting by using innuendos, implying, not only the prospect for a physical encounter, but also this game of pretenses.
It is through this stage and the male's creativity, that the female gauges his true value.

He knows he is lying and she knows he is lying but how they deal with this exposes the male's creativity.

I should also add a distinction: she would defend herself from sociopaths and idiots/barbarians. But, hostile sociopaths are what create such banshee-like responses of women. It's what feminism today does and takes advantage of to separate the white male and white female from each other, turning regular masculinity and its disgust with pitiable behavior into something 'sociopathic' or a pathology, universalizing it to contextless behavior, to say that "it could be you who is the target next"; even if it would not be a reaction to an actual female but is only so toward the pitiable race. The lie of "look, I am a man like him, but even I am subject to this tyranny.. what if it was you?"
