Rittenhouse was released but the three men who were involved in killing a "jogger" who tried to reach for their gun after being caught stealing were convicted. Most of the media attention was placed on the former than the latter.

Many (especially on the alt right) have declared the former a victory, but it really is just a reaffirmation of the feminine attitude predominant today. Force used in self-defense is still upheld as a sacred idol, but force more used offensively is punished to the fullest extent of the law. Nobody will remember the 3 men.
