The modern femme-fatale is similar in that it is the corollary of J-Xt. patriarchal misogyny - a suffocation of the feminine in the external.

The film Basic Instinct (1992) conveys this precisely. The movie is based on a hyper-sexed, monstrous seductress ( femme-fatale ), who allegedly murdered a rock-star with an ice-pick upon reaching sexual climax. The subtext of the film is about how J.-Xt. phallogocentrism inadvertently created this feminine monstrosity via its oppression of women. The femme-fatale is the great liberator of the feminine and the emasculatrix of patriarchal misogyny.
