| I've never seen the whole movie, at least I don't remember, but this or such a similar scene I remember. Isn't the missing part where he reveals that he made himself immune to the poison over a long time and that he had poisoned both cups? |

I'm not sure, i always took it as him tricking the captor by making him inhale the poison, using the pretense that he not "touch" it.
