Philosophy is like a map of the physical world.
Animals have their own.
Humans have a more complex one, because the map begins in the middle-ground, the physical, and then extends downward, into the metaphysical and projected upward, into the idealistic.
The map contains, like many maps do, geography, fauna, climatic, conditions, and organic life, represented on a three dimensional plane by symbols, shapes, words.
It also describes how each relates to the others - meaning - creating a web of interlaced shapes/words/symbols, all representing a real, existent, environment.

Within this map each individual positions himself/herself, and then charts a course of action, depending in what direction, or towards what objective each wishes move towards.

In relation to the individual, the map also includes a description of the species man, as it includes a description of all organisms.
Man becomes a focus for philosophy because man is the only known philosophical organism, and the study of man, in particular is an indirect study of philosophical mechanisms, in particular of language and how it is applied.
The organism man, in all its complexity, is, like all species, characterized by particular sexes, breeds and particular types, that exist in all breeds and sexes.
The types are psychological, determined by organ hierarchies, as these are determined by the potentials of each breed, and the specialized reproductive roles that arrange these potentials.

Jung, Carl wrote:
Archetypes are typical forms of behaviour which, once they become conscious, naturally present themselves as ideas and images, like everything else that becomes a content of consciousness. (Jung, 1947/1954, par. 435)
They are typical forms of behaviour in that they are deposits of the constantly repeated experiences of humanity. (Jung, 1917/1926/1943, par. 109)

Jung studies these types and called them archetypes. He placed them within the context of a species history, or evolution, and called this collective unconscious.
Collective unconscious is genetic memory, manifesting as intuition, spontaneous behavior, and/or innate reactions to particular stimuli.
The intuition has no imagery to grasp, being that the data is cellular, and so adopts the memetic imagery already present in the mind to express itself in dreams, or in sexual fantasies or fears.

The most important part of the entire puzzle is the physical - the bottom, from where one works outward, or upwards towards the metaphysical and the idealistic.
Philosophy describes the triad, emphasizing the central, physical.

Spirituality, emphasizes the bottom, the underground, the metaphysical.

Psychology, politics describes the upward, the idealistic.

Genetics belongs to the physical, and memes belong to the idealistic.

Philosophy does not tell an individual what course to take, or how to deal with the physical, because it only maps it out and describes it.
Psychology attempts to guide the individual in this regard, as does religion, or spirituality in general.
Psychology deals with the types of individuals and how each relates to the world, but it is the individual himself, with the guidance of a trusted mentor, which must decide his own course of action.

Ergo, philosophy deals with generalities and psychology deals with specifics within these generalities...or philosophy deals with grand patterns, and psychology with how specific patterns interact within this grand pattern, this environment of multiple patterns.
Spirituality offers support, a grounding.

To give advice to an individual one must study his particular circumstances: how his particular patterns, producing specific potentials, relate to the particular environment, within the world.
This would require very specific data, therefore we have psychotherapy.

To put it another way...genetics is the species or breeds, and the individual falls within its parameters.
Meme is the environment, manufactured by the species, to overlay the natural environment.
So, we have an original, natural environment, covered over, by an artificial, manmade one.

Philosophy cannot deal with this complexity on a case by case basis.
It deals with it in a general way, and the reader is obliged, is burdened, with the placing of himself/herself within this generality, which often overestimates or underestimates, due to ego and emotional corruption, so an external, gifted, objective mentor is required, to accurately place the individual within environment.
Philosophy does not lend help on an individual basis.

Only a psychotherapist, within the contexts of psychology, can do so.
Philosophy is not a self-help manual. It is a description of world, and of general types within this general description.
To apply a philosophy one must study the individual, to determine the specifics of his general limitations, in relation to his particular circumstances, which were produced before one began studying him.

In this regard metaphysics is shared by all, as a foundation, the physical is a general description within which one must separate the particular segment of the rel within which the individual evolved and then the ideal can be compared to the individual's potentials - his inherited traits, his cultivated traits, adopted character, his objectives, his will, his need/desired, his specific organ hierarchies manifesting as personae.
This requires a gifted mentor and observation, because the individual cannot be trusted to offer objective analysis of himself.

Philosophy cannot offer individual advice, because then it would have to offer a specific philosophy for every individual that ever lived, or is presently alive....8 billion or so.

Biology does not study one bovine, in a herd of cattle.
Physics does not study one specific particle.
Astronomy does not study one star.

The particular is studies to extrapolate general rules.
The study of philosophy is about the world man occupies, or emerges within.
it does not study specific individuals, but only to discover some general pattern of behaviour.

Psychology focuses this study on humanity, whereas philosophy studies the world, which includes humanity.
When psychology studies humanity, it is like a primate biologist studying chimpanzees.
Psychology finds patterns within the general pattern of homo sapient, within the general category of mammal, within the general category of life, within the general context of world.

To expect philosophy to give you solutions to personal issues, is an admission that you are unable to comprehend what philosophy is, or to objectively place yourself within its general insights.
It also assumes there is always a solution to your particular issues, which philosophy exposes.
Philosophy is not a solution manual.
It describes reality, without claiming to be solving problems, or that there are problems.

The idea that nothing that cannot be solved, must be spoken of, is a cowards way of remaining ignorant of anything he cannot change.
Philosophy has no such reservations. It describes, without caring how the individual reacts or relates to what its described.

The world does not change to accommodate man, but it is man who must change to accommodate the world...or suffer the consequences.

What applies to the behaviour, (inter)activity, of lifeless patterns, does not apply to life, and language should reflect this distinction, so that the mind is not confused, whether intentionally, or not.
Confusion of this sort is associated with certain types of psychosis, where living and non-living patterns merge in an unreal experience, the individual may enjoy, or be distressed by.
Usually drug usage may induce such confusion, making the individual believe he attained profound insight into reality that the mundane, everyday cannot match.
The mind becomes addicted to this frantic stat of confusion, similar to the dream state, where the lines between the real and the unreal are blurred.
Such experiences produce a sensation of something more, that the mind may seek to rationalize, in the same way a dreamer wakes to try to make sense of the dream he had.
The ream is a product of memories, of the previous day, worries stresses, merging with cellular, organic data, that find in these images a way to express themselves consciously.

Being able to discriminate is the mark of sanity.
Consciousness is the ability to distinguish, to discriminate, to differentiate.
Keeping the external separate from the internal, other separate from self, life separate from the non-living, dream separate from reality, imagination separate from fantasy, the dream separate from the lucid, animal separate from man etc.
Insanity is the blurring of the lines of separation. It is becoming unconscious.
The real and the unreal merge in confusion, in ambiguity.

Personae (personality - spirit) fades into the background, as the boy/girl grows into maturity.
What is called maturity, in an age of missing fathers, is this adoption of a caricature, and a repression of one's innate personae.
It is told what to be. Part of adolescent confusion.

Child adopts a character, a caricature, that (s)he will act out for the rest of his/her life.
In time the character will be all that is left - personae atrophying and coming forth as anxiety, sexual fetishism, a sense of un-fulfillment in the midst of plenitude.
It begins to believe everything about it is fake, is a matter of choice, and of playing a part - an act.
Identity crisis.
Believe in the act, become the character, embody the idea, to make the performance convincing - confidence/ conviction.

Success breeds confidence.
Precedent feeds the ego with a sense of security, with a sense of invulnerability. Weakness gathers itself inward.
It surrounds itself with people that will reinforce it.
Those that break the spell, cause it to doubt itself it calls evil, unloading its insecurities and fears upon them, as a defensive move that both rejects and justifies a flight away.
Seeking the comfort of 'friends', and those who buy into its pretenses it immerses itself in the company of sycophants and gullible, impressionable minds, desperate for a taste of their own power, their own missing self-esteem, and finding it in its act.
Thy feed on its fake confidence, exaggerated to mask its internal doubt, and it, in turn is energized by their attentiveness.

Psychology is a branch of philosophy that deals with the human species, in specifics, and orients the individual within the environment philosophy has described and defined = nature.
Philosophy deals with generalities, extending beyond the species, placing the species homo sapient within an environment, and psychology, sociology, deals with the species in particular.
sociology with the emergent memes, as part of a genetic continuum or one in contradiction to genes or sum of all past nurturing (evolution), and psychology with individual types places within this memetic/natural environment.
Analyzing the dynamics of memetics and genetics, or the effects upon individuals of this memetic covering of natural processes.
Even psychology deals with generalization.
It finds patterns of behaviour that categorize types of psychologies: general behavioural dispositions.
The individual is studies in relation to this context, finding subtle degrees of the general.
Only psychology can offer the individual a plan, a strategy of coping with the environment philosophy describes and defines.
Th individual himself must place himself within the general description, and only seek help from a mentor when he is unable to, or when his self-knowledge is poor (diminishes Know Thyself), or when ego and emotion corrupt self-awareness, making him over-under-estimate himself and the world he is in.
The psychiatrist, or it can be a friend, a mentor, someone with an objective eye, can help the individual evaluate himself properly.
Philosophy cannot do this for him.
Philosophy can only provide a description of the environment, which is more or less accurate, depending on the philosophy.
Not all philosophies are equal.
Each is closer or further way from the experienced.

To evaluate the accuracy of a philosophy one must, as objectively as possible, judge how the concepts, represented with symbols/words refer to a reality independent form human desires, hopes, emotions.
A reality beyond culture, or memetic coverings.
What remains of the animal kingdom, is a good place to start building trust in a particular philosophical world-view.
This is the middle ground, the bottom for an organism such as man.
He begins by comparing the theory with organic behaviour, particularly that of species related to homo sapient - primates.

The basis of psychology is the study of the relationship of an emergent awareness with a world indifferent to him.
As man thrown into the world - dasein (Heidegger).
Not as a clean slate (tabula rasa) (Locke) but as DNA carrying, as the manifestation of past - or memories already present determining potentials and behaviours.
Collective Unconscious (Jung).
Emphasis on sexuality (Freud), over-emphasizes the will to life, survival, in the context of libidinal drives, which determine relationships to mother/father.

The usage of anthropomorphic metaphors, such as, will to power (Nietzsche) unnecessarily convolutes the difference between inorganic and inorganic Energies.
This is based on the practice of using self as a standard to evaluate otherness - empathy confused as sympathy and/or antipathy.
The usage of such anthropomorphosizing metaphors allows the desperate, feeble human psyche to selectively unburden himself of any personal anxiety, with the aid of the metaphor, as transporter/carrier of meaning.
Artistic minds do more harm than good, if their motive is not to confuse the average man, or to feed him a desired insinuation while transporting to other minds the real meaning - over their heads.
Wrath of the masses, in a contained environment, such as our earth, with no accessible frontiers, and increasing urbanization and codependency, should not be underestimated.
Quantities cannot compete with qualities face-to-face, but must overwhelm them, drown them into silence.

Reality for the masses is a unflattering, terrible state, if they truly comprehend it.
Their terrible, inescapable fate, determined by birth, would be shattering to them, if they truly understood.

Psychology is the study of the relationship of nervous system, including brain, with the body (esoteric), and with the world (exoteric).
As such symbols/words (semiotics) are central to its study.
Psychotherapy uses words to decipher dreams, riddled with ambiguous, metaphoric imagery, and to rationalize (order) irrational behaviours, actions that have disconnected from a shared reality.

Language, metaphors, symbols are central to it.
How words are used, how the individual understands them, what imagery, emotions, sensations, are triggered by them, if they refer to a shared experience of world, relating to observable phenomena, or refer to internal noetic abstractions, with varying degrees of connections to the outside world.

By placing the standard outside the mind, where all minds can perceive and juxtapose themselves against, the objective thinker relinquishes control over its definition, abandoning the self-serving subjective, for the uncertainty of an external standard all can witness and measure themselves against.
The word is now bound by a dictionary definition, for the sake of communication, and by a reference to a phenomenon in the world, outside all minds, for the sake of meaningful substance and objectivity.
It no longer matters what the subjective eye beholds, or how the subjective mind wants to define and use the word. By taking it out of this relationship, he exposes himself as lacking integrity, as having ulterior motives and as being a hypocrite, a coward, a lair, and/or an idiot....or as someone who is insane.
Well, the most obvious thing being exposed in nihilism, and its insidious rhetorical, sophistic, methods.

Words referring to an external phenomena become empirical, testable, holding all accountable to their reference.
The word no longer refers to an esoteric, subjective, elf-referential standard.
It refers to an exoteric phenomena all can perceive and measure and acknowledge and test themselves against.

Retaining the words as mystical, esoteric, subjective, self-referential one denies this and maintains the concept as an ambiguity, or as an invented concept whose contradictions can be smoothed over with vagueness, and mountains of verbal diarrhea, pretending to be sophisticated and profound.

For example, by defining the concept beauty with symmetry (order) and proportionality (fitness), it becomes a standard all can appreciate and all can evaluate themselves against. It is no longer some vague contraption morons use to comfort themselves by declaring it 'in the eye of the beholder'.
Many more words can be reconnected to external, observable, testable phenomena....like morality, humanity, love, order, value, power, self, truth, race, male/female, will, etc.
Once simple common sensical words, but now hijacked by imbeciles with an agenda, other than clarity, to make them mystical, ideological, mythical, mysterious, vague, esoteric,. subjective...meaningless.
Words that can mean anything, to anyone, and who are now judged by how many needy imbeciles they can seduce and manipulate, with comforting, pleasing innuendos, and hopeful promises.

Nihilism is the psychosis by which such words are intentionally disconnected from an indifferent natural order, and rearranged in accordance to a presumed, fabricated meaningless ideology.

The thief, unable to earn and to work for what he has, lies about his thievery, and when he is about to be discovered, he accused the one he took from of lying and thieving.
The liar, lies to hide his hatred of himself and his insecurity, and when being uncovered becomes inevitable, he accuses the one he lied to of lies and hatred.
The plagiarizer unable to create something unique, copies the work of others, and when he is about to be uncovered he accuses the other of plagiarizing him.

Self is what we use to understand other, and other is what we use to unload what we are most ashamed of in self.
It takes a particular height of sophistication to empathize, without sympathizing, extricating an objective other from your projected subjectivity.

It is to be expected that the objective world, being common to all, would be understood by all in generally similar ways, unless one is motivated to escape, unable to cope with the world.
The narcissist failing to stand-out from wihtin this shared world will invent a secret world only he, and those who pay homage to him, can see.
The coward and the hypocrite unable to cope with a shared world will deny there is such a thing, so as to justify his anxious flight.

Difference between life and non-living patterns and unities of patterns, is memory.
Only life is continuously informed, influencing its (inter)activities, forming its choices, by past experiences, stored as DNA, or in the brain to be recalled.

It's not unreasonable to think that two explorers will reach the same destination independently, nor that each will draw similar maps, from slightly different vantage points, using slightly different symbols for the same geographical points.
What is irrational is when one will claim he owns the place, or that it can be reached only through him - making himself the map and the destination.

That's not only irrational that's insane.
All one can do when faced with such derangement is to leave the madman to his internal explorations, circling himself for a lifetime.

Body language.
Be wary of the one who smiles at the prospect of deterioration, fragmentation of that which you love.
He hides a secret joy at the destruction of your identity, of your sense of self, and suppresses satisfaction at the idea of you becoming as lost and desperate, as he is.
He is not your friend, no matter how friendly he is towards you.
The smile, sardonic, sarcastic, mirthful, can take the form of symbolic, verbal glee.
A precursor to a sudden release of nervous energy we call laughter, it displays the bearing of the canines, the teeth that are to be employed to bite and tear.
If the neck is exposed, as with females, it is a sign of intense insecurity, accepting this vulnerability and displaying it as a symbolic surrender.
In wolves the subordinate member of the pack, lies on its back exposing its neck to the dominant one.
Nervousness may be vocalized as yelping, is aggression has preceded the submissive display.
Laughter signifies a surrender to the inevitable surprising unforeseeable.
A sudden release of energies kept in stand-by for the fight/flight mechanism.
It's a giving-in to circumstances.
The individual displays a surrender to the inevitable, or the unseasonably real, and this release is experiences as a tension relief – pleasing expunging of stress, taxing the nervous system.
To laugh at another's jokes, his humour, automatically makes him positively disposed towards you.
He intuitively interprets it as surrender to what he has exposed to you, and the release of tension means there is no possibility of flight or fight.
Beginning of trust, like when the wolf exposes its underbelly and its throat – a show of uninhibited trust.

Brain is body, but its processes, its appearance is hidden behind the cranium - the exoskeleton.
It is important to note that for the mammalian organisms, and those evolving a bigger brain, the skeleton is wrapped in the flesh, encompassed by a soft, membrane, called skin, but the brain is encased in the exoskeleton - the skeleton becoming exoteric, placing the brain in a womb-like cocoon.
This is another factor producing the mind/body dichotomy.
The brain is soft and fragile - a child playing in a controlled sheltered environment, but the body is vulnerable, slower to adapt, exposed to world. It hangs upon the skeleton.

Psychology, in the west, have engulfed European man between Freud's Jewish degeneracy, and Jung's Christian nostalgia.
From sexualizing everything, to seeking some vague lost soul.

As I described the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], the two types are codependent.
One feeds on, and off, the other.

Master/Salve dynamic.
These two types of nihilist are responsible for Abrahamism, and all the subsequent forms of secular Abrahamism.
God being a representation of the ultimate extroverted nihilist. He, as described, negates, contradicts the very world he, supposedly, creates - he is its negation.
Lord of another more real reality...a better one.
This is why Satan, in this dualistic system, is am ambiguous figure/representation - 'evil' and yet a benefactor of man, as he is, not as man ought to be.

Language has developed into a very successful method of representing one's interpretations of the world.
Far from being simple it is intricate in its multiple translation of interactivity, and then back into activity.
Breaking its sequences, and connections does not make language better, it makes it useless, allowing liars and charlatans to use language to project into feeble minds alternative realities to the ones language represented with the particular symbols/words it uses.

Far easier to create your own, better, more exciting reality...in fact many movies are such creations, establishing their own lingo, their own mythologies, their own realities.
most of these are always, at least in part, rooted in reality, simply exaggerating the mundane to help the masses escape it.
But to totally invert language, to create a supernatural, a surreality, goes beyond relieving boredom, it enters the area of psychosis, a desire for a more substantial break with an undesirable, unsatisfying world.

Besides that, when we are dealing with philosophy which uses language to clarify and to explore reality, then this corruption of language is antithetical to its motive.
It is an act of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], described by the idol of men-children the world over.

PostSubject: Re: Psychology 101 Mon Oct 09, 2017 6:39 pm

In the course of one's life one is raised by his family,  which the child is dependent.
It accepts their tradition and teachings until it reaches the age of adolescence, the age of self-discovery, and the system, peers, imposing a restriction upon his behaviour, forcing him to adopt a character.
This is also the age of rebellion.
The adolescent questions what he was told was true and begins looking else where for new teachings, usually finding them among his peers. who are usually affected by some revolutionary ideology...and wanting to fit in and to not return to his parental abode, admitting that he cannot survive on his own, the boy adopts this new ideology and calls it his own.
But, in time, his rebelliousness is confronted with challenges that put much pressure on him.
some boys return to their family, and their family traditions, others lacking such a family begin looking elsewhere for another ideology ....something stronger, pragmatic, more promising, in the area of sexual gratification, and finding a woman and having a family.
The young man will adopt the prevailing ideology, the most popular one, to get by...to settle down....to accomplish his goals. This he considers his maturation period.

Now along the way some stay stuck to the family, others stay stuck in their adopted ideology, most return to their inherited values, and some few having no such strong family ties, or values, become cynical, materialistic, superficial, dismissive of all ideals and ideologies.

But there's a rare few who do not follow this path, or if they do quickly break free from it.
these minds are raised by parents that implant in their their ideologies, values, principles, like all parents do...and along the way they also come in contact with new revolutionary ideologies promising power, freedom, sex, or whatever.
But these minds do not accept ideologies just because someone told them to, or because ti sounded good, or made grand promises. not even their own parents, who they love and trust, could not stop Their skeptical minds form seeking to validate ideas, or from being troubled by contradictions between what they were told and what they experience.
then, along the way, they come in contact with nature, either in documentaries or directly, and they begin to notice similarities between animal and human behavior, and so wish to expand their understanding so they begin adding to their knowledge by reading books of animals and animal behavior, while continuously validated what they read with what they see.

then things begin to make sense, having lost their delusion that humans are nothing like animals, but are more complex more schizophrenic organisms, driven by the same needs and desires, but only convoluting them with language and symbols.
such a man would want to learn more about semiotics and where they come from and how they work and what function they serve.
He may read books on evolution, and Evolutionary Psychology, constantly validating what is written in the books, never accepting what is being served up in them using words and symbols.

He will realize, in time, that what is called civilization is a sham, a lie...a necessary one, in many regards, but one enforcing a uniformity of behaviors, while convincing the masses that they are free to be and think whatever they like.
Wanting to clear him mind of the lies he begins making connections.
Not only within the memetic symbols, but between the symbols/words and the world beyond human environments.

The same psychosis that detaches the word 'male' and the word 'female' from a biological function dictated not by humans but that evolved independently, before there was even an organism to be called human, and that determined this species that now feels so dissatisfied with the world it emerges within that ti is compelled to challenge natural order, using symbols/words, as if it were the one-god it no longer believes in.
Symbols/words that were sued to engage and understand world are now used to detach and create it, as if world is affected by symbols/words alone.

A psychosis born in an organism that is becoming increasingly aware of its vulnerability that it has constructed a technological alternate one, and is now suffering from boredom and disillusionment, because a brain evolved to deal with danger and need is now sick with ennui in an environment of safety and abundance.
Atrophying, decaying, and suffering anxiety, though it no longer faces predators and a challenging environment.
It's creativity no longer directed towards the real, it wallows in fantasy, it escapes in imagination and excess, it numbs itself to not feel or to feel more, because feeling is no longer enough.

What did Schopenhauer say?
Schopenhauer, Arthur wrote:
The two enemies of human happiness are pain and boredom.

How unhappy man has made himself.
He must now hide in his words, find comfort in denying his own sensations, seek release in drug induced confusion, in hyperbole, in numbness.

What did the Abrahamics do to cope with the world?
The invented an absolute and gave it a name that had nothing to do with anything experienced, and then justified their word by setting it in a hidden realm, and called those that rejected their projections Nihilists.
Are they not still doing the same?
Are they not using different words, and projection in an underlying, secret world their justifications?
Are they not calling those that do not support their shared delusions names of negativity?

History repeats itself.
The same psychosis like hydra, returns with twice as many heads.

Consider, as an example, proving the above post, how Moderns approach biological sexual roles.
some look in the mirror, awaken to their bodies and are disheartened, for many reasons:
hormonal dysfunctions, a recognition that it cannot compete with other bodies, a dissatisfaction with what it perceives...and so on.
But instead of compensating by cultivating the mind, and seeking an advantage there, or training the body to improve it, relative to other bodies, it buys into the comforting delusion that what it sees is more than what appears, and that the words male/female do not suffice to define what it is.

Some, the introverts, imagine that what they see is part of something greater, something stronger, more beautiful, more attractive. The mind finds itself insufficient to face the world which is too much for it, to justify tolerating it - sheltering accumulating atrophy, lack.
Others, extroverts, imagine that what they see is not all that there is; that there are dimensions hidden from sight, depths, powers, that no words, like male/female can adequately represent. The mind finds itself insufficient to face a world that is not enough for it to justify enduring it - sheltering accumulating excess.

World as too much, or as not enough, is the psychosis of the dual poles of Nihilism - pure, authentic, self-deprecating nihilism, and positive, duplicitous, self-aggrandizing nihilism.

Under-Over-Estimation...in a world where costs/benefits are mitigated by a system, of selectivity.
both seek validation from the collective.

Nihilism as Psychosis
Because the world denies to the mind what it expects, what it believes it deserves, what it needs to make the world tolerable, justifying its pains and suffering, and rationalizing its anxieties, the mind invents what it needs and projects them, using symbols/words into the world, as it constructs techniques/technologies by using its understanding of its own processes to externalize them in order to help himself endure the world.
Symbols/Words, constructed internally by recombining abstractions, motivated by emotions, desires, are the externalization of esoteric needs, internal desires, rooted in internal anxieties, and their accumulating into excessive stress, libidinal energies.

Those that reject their projections are named Nihilists, not because they negate, reject, the world/natural order, as it is, but because they deny, reject, these fabrications that help these feeble minds cope with the world.
This is how the word 'nihilist' has been hijacked by the true nihilists, to accuse others of denying them their mental crutches.
Taking themselves as the example, they imagine that such spirits that can endure reality as it is, without the aid of such delusions, must be hiding an ulterior motive, a secret crutch...and because they take themselves as the example, they also imagine these contradicting spirits of gaining satisfaction, pleasure, from this resistance.
For them, an opinion must offer the mind an immediate, and certain, benefit, otherwise it is, for them, incomprehensible, monstrous, vile....wrong.

So their desire to change the world explains why these monsters rejects these infantile attempts and methods to do so, and their own inability to break-free from their family's teachings, or from peer pressures, is a universal experience, and because they would be depressed and miserable, without their linguistic fabrications, and chemical joy, all who resit their seductive delusional promise must be depressed and suicidal.

They are trapped in their own subjectivity, and refuse to leave its comforting womb-like encasement...calling the trap a loving embrace, a deeper occult reality.
who is brave enough to enter their womb, with them, to share its warmth, it liberating cocoon, gestating new beginnings?

Language exposes how the brain relates to the world beyond it.
Different languages express a particular genetic lineage evolving in a particular environment, and how this genetic lineage (family), related to this environment.
as environment changes language adjust reflecting a shift in relationships.

As I've noted elsewhere, semiotics is a representation in the nervous system, connecting mind, the brain processes, with itself, the body, and with the world beyond the cranium - outside.
This slight difference is about the cells, participating in organs, send data to the brain, where they are interested as sensation,  and sometimes integrates into larger abstractions by adopting some imagery/sensation produced from external sources, because cells have no access to the external world, and they cannot abstract the data sent to the brain.
Data coming from external sources (phenomena) go through a double interpretation - first from interaction to neural pulse, transmitted to the brain, and there from neural pulse into abstraction, by combining all the data into mental models that may include imagery, sensations, and the reactions to them, such as emotions.

This data then goes through a third transformation, translation, back into neural pulse, sent back to the cells, and/or the muscles to produce movement, activity.

We have three phases....stimulation, either via a mediating phenomenon (pattern), such as air or light, into neural pulse (physical energy), then conversion of said neural pulses into larger mental models (abstractions), and then back, by reconverting the abstractions into neural energies.
We have two different sources of neural pulses.
1- From inside the body - esoteric.
These have no way of being conceptualized, to become more than feeling, sensations, unless they are integrated into mental models along with neural pulses coming from external sources.
The inability to distinguish the source creates confusion, or may even produce schizophrenia.
2- From outside the body - exoteric.
A phenomenon, where multiple Energies (inter)act - patterned in balance, affected by non-patterned random and patterned Energies - interact with nerve cells directly, or through a medium - stimulation.
This stimulation is translated into a form the body can process - neural pulse.
It is transmitted via the nervous system to the brain, the hub of the nervous system, where it is translated/processed once more, as sensation, on its most basic primal level, and in more sophisticated brains into abstraction: image, concept.
once in the brain the data can be combined in any way possible, resulting in abstractions that have no reference to an external world - fantasy, or they are inverted, essentially negating the phenomena that produced them - ideas.

These abstractions are reacted to.
Brain returns to the cells data, in the same form, stimulating it to work...or it sends it to the motor-system, the muscles, , or held on stand-by for a fight/flight explosive reaction - experienced as stress, as excess needing to release.
When sent to the muscles, it is reconverted to interaction - movement, motive.

Symbols/Words are mental representations of abstractions, which can be transmitted externally as vocalizations (primitive language) and then symbolically as written, sketched in a medium, such as stone, or wood.
Air/light is replaced by another medium. A more solid, long-lasting one, compared to air/light.

Therefore, one can determine the essence of the mind by tracing back the process.
The symbol/word is the reaction of the mind to the data streaming into the brain.
They represent the organism's relationship to what it perceived - its psychology.

Herein lies the separation of the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], and the diving line is found in the nervous system, represented by symbols/words.
Data coming from inside, the body, is, along with the nervous system, part of the subjective.
The objective is what occurs beyond mind/body, in the world, where the mind has no control, except to interpret the stimuli accurately, and then to construct a successful reaction to it.

The commonest reaction to the awareness that there are no absolutes, no god, no universal morality, no meaning to be given to you, no purpose to be adopted from somewhere else, is to lie down and wait to die.
Most humans are too feeble to endure reality, as it is, to create their own meaning and purpose without having to consider it universal, or imposed upon others...most are too feeble to fight for a lost cause, wanting to always be on the winning side.
They cannot do anything if it dopes not involve the possibility of victory, of a final end, a conclusion.

Was it resetiment?
What would overman mean without this acceptance, this superhuman spirit?

Keeping in mind that I use personae, where Jung uses character, and i do so because of personae's closeness to the Greek psyche, which is Greek for spirit, and which I define as the sum of all past memories, genetic or experienced consciously and/or unconsciously, and the sum of all past nurturing that established organ hierarchies, manifesting in a demeanour, a personality - private man.
Character is more akin to caricature, an act, a social role, one plays - public man.
Jung, Carl wrote:

Character is the fixed individual form of a human being. Since there is a form of body as well as a behavior or mind, a general characterology must teach the significance of both physical and psychic features. The enigmatic oneness of the living being has as its necessary corollary the fact that bodily traits are not merely physical, nor mental traits psychic. The continuity of nature knows nothing of those antithetical distinctions which the human intellect is forced to set up as helps to understanding.
The distinctions between mind and body is an artificial dichotomy, a discrimination which is unquestionable based far more on the peculiarity of intellectual understanding than on the nature of things. In fact, so intimate in the intermingling of bodily and psychic traits that not only can we draw far-reaching inferences as to the constitution of the psyche from the constitution of the body, but we can also infer from psychic peculiarities the corresponding bodily characteristics. It is true that the latter process is more difficult; but this is surely because there is a greater influence of the body over the mind than vice versa , but for quite another reason. In taking the mind as our starting-point we work our way from the relatively unknown to the known; while in the opposite case we have the advantage of starting from something known, that is, from the visible body. despite all the psychology we think we possess today, the psyche is still infinitely more obscure to us than the visible surface of the body. The psyche is still foreign, almost unexplored country of which we have only indirect knowledge; it is mediated by conscious functions that are subject to almost endless possibilities of deception. ---- Modern Man in Search of a Soul

Jung, Carl wrote:
Since I must restrict myself here to the mere sketch of the basic ideas of a psychological theory of types, I must unfortunately forego a detailed description of individual traits and actions in the light of this theory. The total result of my work in this field up to the present is the presentation of two general types covering the attitudes which I call extroversion and introversion. Besides these, I have worked out a fourfold classification corresponding to the functions of thinking, feeling, sensation, and intuition. Each of these functions varies according to the general attitude, and thus eight variants are produced. I have been asked almost reproachfully why I speak of four functions and not more or fewer. That there are exactly four is a matter of empirical fact. but as the following consideration will show, a certain completeness is attained by these four. Sensation establishes what is actually given, thinking enables us to recognize its meaning, feeling tells us its value, and finally intuition points to the possibilities of the whence and whither that lie within the immediate facts. In this way we can orient ourselves with respect to the immediate world as completely as when we locate a place geographically by latitude and longitude. The four functions are somewhat like the four points of the compass; they are just arbitrary and just as indispensable. Nothing prevents our shifting the cardinal points as many degrees as we like in one direction or the other, nor are we precluded from giving them different names.
It is merely a question of convention and comprehensibility.---- Modern Man in Search of a Soul

Of course my choice of words is aesthetically based, and determined by conventions and communication necessities, and is not so important as long as the symbol refers to the same observable, testable, phenomenon and not to some private, subjective mental fabrication that can only be felt, or believed in.

Whether you call a cow a horse, does not matter if you define cow by the behaviours applicable to cows.
The multiplicity of languages converge upon the world, as all describe and refer to shared phenomena, and they diverge when it comes to theoretical mental fabrications accepted on faith.
If I were to name a horse 'cow', and justify it with mystical insinuations, but I referred to behaviours that best described the interactivity of a penguin, then I would be using it inappropriately and with no meaning and substance.
The usage of an inappropriate moniker usually hides a deep desire, feeding a deeper need.

The extrovert promises and threatens from the positive, projecting his power as negation of what already is.
The introvert promises and threatens from the negative, projecting his power as a positive that is not but will be.

Self, defined as the sum of all past events that contributed to your becoming would include all events prior to your birth and gestation.
This makes selflessness a joke, only clowns take seriously.

Ego, as the Greek word for 'self', can be used to differentiate known self, self-consciousness, from all those events, processes the mind cannot be aware of.

Words used to clarify, to discriminate what appears uniform - bringing to light a divergence.

When dealing with living organisms words refer to patterns called behaviours, and are placed within the discipline of psychology.
Psychology deals with behaviours, patterns of interactivity, in relation to a norm, an average.
Terms like 'neurotic', 'psychotic' refer to behaviours that are distinct from the norm, the average, to a degree that makes them discernible disposition.

The word 'male', for instance, refers to a specific specialized patterns of behaviour, and all members belonging to this category are compared to the average norm.
Words refer to activities, because there is no absolute....there is only process, interactivity - Flux.

Species is the term, the symbol/word, we use to refer to an average pattern/behaviour characteristic of all members of a self-replicating population, using a particular method of reproduction, and developing a uniformity in all aspects of behaviour, including survival strategies.
Species is first and foremost a sexual/reproductive category...and all additional traits are to be placed within this definition.
This does not make sex central to its behaviour, but death, which sex evolved to deal with.

Each individual is then compared to the upper and lower limits of the observed, testable, behaviour, of a given population, and to an observable average symmetry and proportionality of organs, psychology etc.
The word 'behave' can be used to differentiate living organisms interacting in accordance to data informing their behaviours, from non-living patterns that simply interact, without any stored memories constantly informing/directing their actions.
This data stored as memory is called DNA, which can be cultivated, left to atrophy, sublimated, enhanced and/or repressed by experiences - the individual organism's particular interactions with existence, expressed as a relationship, an attitude - psyche, soul/spirit.

Behaviour is organic interactivity following genetically determined and evolved patterns.
Memory is the binding causality of organic identity.
Nature = sum of all past nurturing.
Even when categorizing non-living patterns it is man's memory that binds them into a continuum it then confuses as intentional, willful, when they are circumstantial.

For life the past is made present - made apperent.
With inorganic patterns the past is not involved...but the patterns, or collection of patterns, always interact as particular pattern, relative to other particular patterns - attracting/repelling simultaneously, forming into balanced unities, or fragmenting due to an overwhelming imbalance (repulsion).
Of course the word 'behave' can be used to refer to particles interacting, clouding the distinction between living and non-living patterns, and enabling anthropomorphism to captivate the mind with its comforting insinuations.
Words used as metaphors confuse the mind by clouding distinctions.
This is also a psychologically determined attempt to escape a reality the organism finds displeasing - either because it is too much, overwhelming, or because it is not enough, underwhelming.

The desire to add to complexity,to increase chaos, rather than reduce it, is the death drive wanting to disappear in uniformity, and only stand out in relation to it.
This desire is expressed in the belief in a hidden, underlying, and/or overlying reality, and the underwhelming feeling that the world is not enough, contrasting with the psychology that shrinks into uniformity, this wants to immerse itself in an alternative, hyper-reality, with the aid of accelerating chemicals, that trigger cellular interactivity, firing of neurons that produce images, accentuates sensitivity, dream-like visions, sensations etc.

Rather than shrinking inward, into uniformity of nil, this psychosis wants to escape the mundane by exploding out of it, into the surreal, the supernatural - positive Nihilism.

The real is "usurped", overcomed, and the mind escapes into hyper-realism, its own abstractions projected as compensation for a world that lacks them.

Abrahamism (Judaism = Christianity/Islam) is a spiritual nihilism that finds the world 'not-enough', and seeks followers in those who find it 'too-much'.
It's positive Nihilism, offering projected absolutes, in the form of corrections, fulfillment, under-covering, seducing the common pure nihilists who needs such abstractions and cannot find them, cannot endure a world lacking them.

If spiritual nihilism shed its god, became secular, it did so to become more seductive across tribal, genetic, boundaries.
It reinvented itself as Marxism, Humanism, post-modernism, transhumanism, to become marketable to a broader pool of disenchanted, by spirituality, minds, lost and floating in limbo in a world with no absolutes.
It renamed spiritual absolutes, slightly modifying the definitions, and resold them to the same desperate minds as progress, as the new.

To put it into the context of Feminization of Mankind:
The priestly, Abrahamic guru, is a hyper-masculine spirit, compensating for deeper insecurities having to do with his identity and masculine role, fabricating an inflated, hyper-reality, which attracts the more feminine spirits, seeking a leader, an absolute, guidance etc. Symbiosis between positive and pure nihilists.
In a world of increasingly emasculated, males with no connection to their past, no anchoring, no foundations in family, these hyper realists become salesmen to a primed for exploitation populace.

Masculine, or positive nihilism is always attempting to usurp the rule of nature, of natural order.
Christianity is an example...as it overturns natural order by fabricating an alternate reality - a harem that invite all the feminine spirits into it, if they submit to its principles.
Feminine, or pure nihilism, is always attempting to hide, or surrender to it, and and if is either seeking for a hiding place, behind the masculine, or it is suicidal and/or stoic, enduring of its pains and suffering.
It is always running, fleeing, towards a saviour.

Why is light so inspiring, so welcoming, so beautiful; why has it become a metaphor for the divine?
Because it is the fastest medium the human organism can perceive, that exposes the human mind to potentials, the possibilities of time/space, and the probabilities within (matter/energy).
Because light is the extreme limit of our acuity, all else falling into darkness - a perceptual-event-horizon, creating an encompassing world.
Because light helps us triangulate, using binocular vision, and orient ourselves within an unknown, threatening, world.

Jung, Carl wrote:
The division into two was necessary in order to bring the ‘one’ world out of the state of potential into reality. Reality consists of a multiplicity of things.
But one is not a number, the first number is two, and with it multiplicity and reality begin. (1955–1956, par. 659)…

The nigredoor blackness is the initial state, either present from the beginning as a quality of the prima materia, the chaos or massa confusa, or else produced by the separation (solutio, separatio, divisio, putrefactio) of the elements.
If the separated condition is assumed at the start, as sometimes happens, then a union of opposites is performed under the likeness of a union of male and female (called the coniugium, matrimonium, coniunctio, coitus), followed by the death of the product of the union (mortificatio, calcinatio, putrfactio) and a corresponding nigredo.
From this the washing (ablutio, baptisma) either leads direct to the whitening (albedo), or else the soul (anima) released at the ‘death’ is reunited with the dead body and brings about its resurrection, or again the ‘many colours’ (omnes colores), or ‘peacock’s tail’ (cauda pavonis), lead to the one white colour that contains all colours.
At this point the first main goal of the process is reached, namely the albedo, tinctura, alba, lapis albus etc., highly prized by many alchemists as if it were the ultimate goal.
It is the silver or moon condition. The albedo is, so to speak, the daybreak, but not until the rubedo is it sunrise . . . the rubedo then follows direct from the albedo as the result of raising the heat of the fire to its highest intensity.
The red and the white are King and Queen, who may celebrate their ‘chymical wedding’ at this stage.

Jung speaks of the absurdity of the singularity.
The near-absolute- the absent singularity, is conceptualized as a duality - as Ying/Yang, as either/or, as positive/negative, as order/chaos and the many other forms of dualism, of binary logic, 1/0, based on the neurological method of on/off...flow/no-flow.

All consciousness required discrimination, distinguishing, separation, differentiation of what appears to be similar.
We call this 'bring into light', refer to our own consciousness.
We make lucid, we clarify, by dividing what is observable, perceptible.

To offer such divisions based on esoteric, private, inconspicuous abstractions is easy, and such constructs can only be sold to gullible minds, seeking clarity they cannot find or are dissatisfied with, by making them attractive, seductive, appealing.
The charlatan, positive Nihilists fabricates internal abstractions, representing them with symbols/words that have no external reference, and then sells them to pure, or feminine nihilists who are seeking certainty, a comforting absolute.

The symbol/word, as a neurological representation is a conduit, a nexus connecting body to mind.
Data can flow outward or inward.
The symbol/word can be used to connect mind to body and the world, with the physical, or it can be used to pull the world inward, to an esoteric alternative to the world.
In the context of the nihilistic paradigm, feminine spirits seek shelter in alternative noetic fabrications, away form reality, and masculine spirits offer a product of their own mind, validating it with feminine acknowledgment.
Symbiosis.

This psychology is expressed in the usage and application of symbols/words, in relation to a world nobody can deny without suffering the consequences.
The usage of symbols/words to detach from reality can only reach the level of absurdity when the individuals practicing this form of self-numbing, escapism, are protected from reality.

We have two distinctly opposite attitudes concerning reality, and awakening to world.
One divided into two poles, described above, and the other can be called Realism, with its spiritual expression being Paganism, rooted in the Indo-European traditions - Aryanism.

Realism wants to remain true to reality, and seeks clarity, in its relationships with it.
It uses word to connect to the apparent, and not detach from it.
It engages reality, and attempts to adjust self, in relation to it, adapt.
It tries to change self, and then the other, basing this on observation, analysis.
The objective of changing other, world, in relation to an ideal, has to take the form of action, and not remain theoretical, linguistic, symbol.
In other words, the abstraction has to return to the external world, from where it was born, as behaviour, activity, as physicality.
In theory all thoughts are perfect, and can be made to be self-consistent.

World is the final arbitrator.
This is why the ancients worshiped natural order in the form of deities.
They did not worship the abstraction in their heads, nor did they worship perfect, absolutes...the gods were imperfect, because they were metaphors for real phenomena, or representations of dead ancestors.
The laymen, the mediocre among them did believe in these symbols literally...but this is the case with all ideas.
The mediocre always need to be given a simplified version of what is too complex for it to fathom, or a comforting delusion to help it cope with its own mediocrity.

The construction of a plausible, self-consistent and yet, at the same time, totally detached from reality fable, is part of the positive nihilistic methodology.
It is rooted in herd psychology, witnessed in fish schooling, bird flocking, and mammals herding.
The positive nihilist places himself, at the center of a collective - makes himself the ideal, the door towards the unifying concept, and attracts insecure members into a group - creating a fluid wall of flesh and bone between it and the world beyond.

In human herding, the meme, the idea(l) can be used to externalize the center, producing the same effect.

Now we can give the two tendencies a new context to conceptualize, suing real life behaviours.

Realism places the idea outside all members, but does not make it the goal, but the orientation point, in relation to the world outside the swarm of bodies.
the members use it to direct themselves outward, towards reality, full of predators and unforeseen possibilities.
This is how traditionalism is used by pagans.

Nihilism does the opposite.
It places the unifying ideal, in some noetic, imaginary world, and makes the positive, the masculine the representation of it - esoteric.
Members move towards it, away from reality. They orient themselves but not to face the world, but to move away from it.
The periphery is the undesirable position....and they judge their progress by how close to a shifting center, they are.
This center is shifting because the representative is always changing.
The threat, is the negative....and it is always the world outside the fluctuating premises of the minds/bodies positioning themselves in relation to the ideal, which is always in someone's mind - theoretical.
Sometimes it is him, then her, then another....fashion trends.
The ideal changes symbols/words, but it always offers an alternative to reality to escape into.

Nietzsche may have diagnosed nihilism, finding it in his immediate environment as the Christian psychosis, but he failed to follow it to its source in a normal existential anxiety, of man relating to an unknown, threatening, fluctuating world, and further back in increasing randomness/chaos, in relation to any ordering made conscious of its condition would tremble, and seek refuge in other - return to the womb, through a return to the collective, and with sophistication a seeking refuge in the esoteric, idea, the detaching from reality ideal.

Christianity was but one such variation, one version, one idea(l), when detachment offers the possibility of infinite variations.
Variations that would seek validation in numbers, if not in self-blinding faith, projected, using symbols/word into a beyond to a beneath; projected into an alternate reality, or a secret, occult, internal one - subjectivity.
A method using symbol/word to compensate for the absence of references to be perceived and experienced - converting the symbol/word from referential representation of the real, to a point where the mind detaches and flees outward/inward into mystical realms - a magical portal.
Overturning, in nihilism, is a matter of survival - all nihilism offers is an inversion.
An inversion of what it finds intolerable, because it is too much for the ego to take, or too little to satisfy its self-referential identifications.

Too much, or too little, and never good enough....never seeking in self the reasons for this feeling of dissatisfaction.
Always seeking it in others, in the very idea of otherness.

As a diagnostician he analyzed the symptoms that were closest to him, using language that was intimate to him - finding plenty of allegories in literature.
But did he seek the source of this dis-ease, or was he satisfied to measure the fever, the rash, the debilitating physical manifestations, using metaphors to protect the ailing from his prognosis?
