After a century of undermining "storytelling" brainwashing the nations that had to be made safe for them they do what comes natural and appropriate what they mean to corrupt pretending to be a part of what they refuse to integrate within.
Some are now realizing that this has destroyed what they wanted to reduce down to a form they could control, and that this has exposed them to a world they cannot survive without a sheltering host.
