"The Young Pope" show does an excellent job at portraying the priest archetype.

Prepare for a new propaganda piece.

Terminator 2, every time I see something of that movie I dislike it more.

I could talk about the bratty, whiny, emo-shithead John Connor, or the Black-Science-Guy (TM), or the plain, rather henchman than villain, T-1000.
But here is my theory why this movie is so deeply progressive kind of bad - Linda Hamilton.
In short, as far as I can gather the story is this. Linda Hamilton is a bipolar, feminist witch who bangs movie maker James Cameron for the money and fame which also leads to inserting her warped girl-power, men-so-evil self-justifications into the movie.

That's why Terminator 2 holds up well for the crowd of today which wants to see unlikable characters in their movies.

I usually don't like splatter-horror-(comedy) movies but this one is truly subversive in some ways and portrays hill-billies in a positive light. Not by saying hillbillies are at heart shitlibs too, but by portraying "hill-billy" characteristics in a sympathetic way. Besides that it's also funny, most humour is derived from misunderstandings based on horror-movie cliché expectations by the characters in the movie.

Just saw Dune.
Very biblical.
I noticed only one race and gender swap.
The "Fremen" were mostly blacks, which is to be expected.

I liked it.
the imagery was amazing.

If you haven't read the books it would be hard to make sense of some of it.
Can't wait for the second part.

Somehow I don't even want to see it.
From the trailer I get the impression that they super-hero-fied the Atreides survivors.
Paul Atreides is Oy vey, the Harkonnen look whiter than White, the Fremen have become black - a people who live in caves during the day and come out at night, who evolved in an austere environment, of course they are black, it's the current year after all...

I am curious though how they portray the Bene-Gesserit sisterhood, those schemers who created and spread the messiah idea among the Fremen in the first place. In the original book they are the ones who spread the monotheism among the less-lie-savvy natives across the universe.

like I said...Biblical.
Harkonnen are the Romans, or the northern Europeans - Germanics.
Vicious, brutal....inhuman.

Unfortunately after 2000 years and what happened in the warts we are infused with the same underlying narratives.
Nothing is produced in Hollywood if it ain't Magian/Abrahamic propaganda.

Atreides are Greek, they represent that Euro-Asiatic mix of the frontier tribes, and of course they are good, noble.
The Fremen are the heroes...all exotic, mixed.....you know ideal.

The books are amazing in their concepts of the future. It's really a must-read, must-watch for Sci Fi fans, very powerful concepts.

The futuristic wars they detail in later books is mind-blowing.

This Dune adaptation was very true to the first book. I recommend watching it in 3d/Imax.

Yes, the books are worth reading.
Over 13 of them. the story continues after this trilogy they are making.

Thing is if anyone managed to make a movie that contradicted the Magian/Abrahamic narrative he would be labeled a racist or worse.
Don't expect anything but this concealed Scriptural propaganda coming out of Hollywood.
Maybe if new movie industries emerge elsewhere - India has Bollywood, Shina, Korea, Russia - we may see something outside this Abrahamic propaganda.

Wrath of Man (2021)



Jason Statham gets to shoot a nameless side-character, a robber played by Post Malone calmly in the head after an exchange of pleasantries and attempted robbery. Besides that nice moment it's a pretty decent action movie.
Most characters are played by White men, both, the (not really) good guy and the (not comically evil) villains. It's not a heroic action movie and despite Statham playing an elite badass as usual he doesn't get to dodge all the bullets or take out all the bad guys by himself, although, at the end he gets to satisfy his wrath.
Would watch it again.

The "meta message" of Matrix – Resurrections is that nothing is real – we are all trapped in art imitating art – another way of declaring that all is subjective and that there is no objective reality; all is a "social construct", i.e., self-referential, solipsistic, collectivized, artificiality; reality is constructed by the code: words referring to more words; all is semiotics and there is nothing beyond the mathematical/symbolic code. Techno-Utopia is under construction, the last man has already been engineered and is being reprogrammed, from cycle to cycle, from resurrection to resurrection, from version to version.

It's part of the pattern.
Appropriate - because you cannot created.
Reinvent, corrupt, revise, remake, repackage, resell - everything from art to history.
