Professor Earnest Albert Hooton, Professor of Anthropology at Harvard University is particularly interested in man's biological development. He is the author of Apes, Men, and Morons, published in 1937. His approach to anthropological and social problems is always unorthodox and he likes nothing better then to throw out startling ideas for the sake of discussion they may develop. (The following suggestions are offered by a physicial anthropologist who has spent many years in the study of race, nationality, and the relation of individual biology to behavior. However, these suggestions represent no consensus of anthropological opinion; they have not been submitted to any group and have been endorsed by no one. The author, himself, is not fully confident of the practicability of the measures outlined. He merely presents them for discussion.

Basic Postulates

(1) The Behavior of a nation arises from the mass of its population and not from leaders or restricted social classes. National culture, national psychology, national ideals are at once the products of the aggregate of biological units of the population and the influence which tend to select for survival and to exaggerate those biological types of men which most readily conform to national behavioral pattens. Both cultural environment and heredity interact to produce in nations stable and persistent modes of behavior.

(2) Substantial amelioration of national behavior cannot be effected solely by external efforts to change the national culture (form of government, ideologies, religion, education, economies). Biological measures for the bettering of the physical mental, and moral quality of individual human units must also be applied to insure permanent improvement.

(3) To break the vicious cycle of inter-action between a militaristic state and the predatory tendencies of its citizens, the former must be destroyed and the latter neutralized or bred out. Since the state is the mechanism for the operation of group aggressions, its destruction most effectually frustrates such aggressions and at the same time makes it easier to deal with the cultural and biological quality of the population by individuals.

APPLICATION TO POST-WAR GERMANY

General Objective

To destroy German nationalism and aggressive ideology while retaining and perpetuating desirable German biological and sociological capacities.

(1) Execute or imprison for life all leaders of the Nazi party; permanently exile all professional army officers.

(2) For a period of 20 years or more utilize the bulk of the present German army as rehabilitation labor units in devastated areas of the Allied Nations in Europe and elsewhere. These laborers should not be treated as prisoners of war or convicts but as paid employees (supervised and restricted as to movement from the area of their work). They might be allowed the privilege of naturalization upon evidence of good behavior. The single men should be permitted to marry only women of the country of their abode or naturalization.

The families of the men already married should remain in Germany for a period of years, but might eventually be permitted to join the fathers. The latter should not be allowed to return to Germany. The objects of this measure include reduction of the birth rate of "pure" Germans, neutralization of German aggressiveness by outbreeding, and denationalization of indoctrinated individuals.

(3) Break up the German Reich into several states (probably its original component states), permitting each, after a suitable interval of supervision and government by the Allied Nations, to choose its own form of non-Fascist government. The object of this measure is to destroy the national framework of unified German aggression.

(4) During the period of supervision and occupation of the several states by armies and civilian staffs of the Allied Nations, encourage members of these groups to intermarry with the German women and to settle there permanently. During this period encourage also the immigration and settlement in the German states of non-German nationals, especially males.

Hungarian referendum on immigration deemed "Nazi-Like".

Hungarian Jews have hit out at the government over a divisive campaign on refugees, comparing its communications to Nazi propaganda.

Sunday saw citizens vote on a proposed EU quota system that would see Hungary and other member states take more refugees to relieve the burden on Italy and Greece. Those who voted were overwhelmingly against, but the turnout, at 43 percent, was too low for the vote to be valid.

The government, led by right-populist Prime Minister Viktor Orban, called the referendum and campaigned vigorously against the quota system, with posters telling passersby that refugees were linked to terrorism, and that millions wanted to come to the country.

“The public discourse on the migrant issue has crossed the line into hate speech,” said Andras Heisler, the president of the Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities, The Times of Israel reported.

“Hatred acts like a virus, and can slowly but surely infect all of society,” Heisler added.

Diana Gru, a director of historical documentaries, said the government campaign is “reminiscent of Nazi propaganda.”

And Shoshanna Vijnu, a Holocaust survivor who lives in Hungary, said: “Hitler said the same things, he incited against one part of society. Today’s victims are Muslims and migrants. This is a very violent campaign that has been going on for more than a year and has caused a tear in our society.”

Orban has refused to accept that the vote is invalid, saying he will seek to change Hungary’s constitution to allow anti-migrant voters to be heard.

Sadet Karabulut of the SP said people’s background should only be described if it is relevant to problems and helps in finding a solution. It is no longer suitable in this day and age, she believes, to label people immigrants or natives. It is about our shared future not our origins, she said.

‘Those terms have been invented for target groups and deprivation policies,’ she explained. ‘But that is no longer on the agenda. There are people of the second and third generation [of immigrants] who are doing very well and wondering: when do I actually become Dutch?’ Allochtoon is frequently used to mean people with a non-western background.

A nation is a people, of homogeneous ethnicity. A multicultural civic nationalism is a balkanized collapse waiting to happen. Which is the idea. A very similar thing was done to Northern Ireland with the Plantation of protestant Scots - and they're still fighting. What would Europe look like after a few centuries of sectarian conflict between Europeans and muslims/non-Europeans?

We have a National Party that's started up over here that has the right idea, luckily:

apaosha, now that you mention that I'm interested in your opinion about something. Here in Croatia there is almost a trend among young people to move temporarily or permanently to Ireland. It's mainly because they say there is a shortage of workers in Ireland while here in Croatia there is often no work, and when there is work the pay in Ireland is about 3 times higher for the same job. As an example, I've heard that a butcher in Ireland is paid 1.5 times more than a high school professor here. So what do you think about such migration? Do you approve of it, or does it bother you, and why?

How do the immigrants who work instead of leeching off welfare affect your economy? Are they all equally bad, or?

Another thing, do you draw the line at race or nationality? I guess at nationality if you're bothered even by Scots, who are Anglo-Saxon too. I think the slav migrants don't cause conflict though, they immigrate to find work and live a decent life, essentially to get out of Croatia which is currently a corrupt shithole. I draw the line at race but I can understand nationalists too, just like not all races are the same, so too not all white peoples are the same, and I respect that some Irish would prefer to live among their own.

Admittedly, I'm considering going somewhere during the summer as well (preferably some English speaking country) to earn some money and improve my spoken English, and Ireland is a possibility.

It's not a matter of me approving or disapproving, and the Scots are only an example. The plantation of ulster was done because that territory was particularly difficult for the english to control, so they settled a bunch of foreigners there with the intent that there would be interminable infighting between irish and scots, catholic and protestant rather than against their rule.
What I was trying to point out is that this method of resettlement of foreigners in troublesome subjugated countries in Europe will lead to endless sectarian conflicts in the future, because a society cannot function with fundamental divisions of race/ethnicity/culture/religion, nor is there the possibility of nationalism arising in such societies, which again is the intent.
Germany, being the heart of Europe in many ways, as well as Greece and Italy and France and the UK are specifically targeted for this. I do not want to see a Europe like Northern Ireland in the next few centuries. I do not want to see such division presided over by external powers negotiating a peace process for a conflict they caused.

Aside from that, I am not too concerned with Eastern Europeans. But, to use the example of NI again, that conflict was caused between 2 populations which are basically the same thing: celtic christians. We are now obliged to live in societies of profoundly different populations, I can find a degree of commonality with a Croat, a Greek, an Austrian, a German or what have you but not with a negro or an arab or a muslim. The only thing holding together countries like the UK at the moment with significant non-European populations is the proposition of the nation, but lines on a map were never sufficient and I don't think the UK has a future in it's current form. A nation is a people, not a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic empire - which always collapse.

I more or less agree with the idea that we need a united Europe to defend our interests against USA, Russia and China, but the current system is not designed with that intent and cannot be brought to satisfy that goal. A more major reorientation is needed.
