I kind of view this modern phenomena of hyper-materialism, narcissism, and hyper-sexuality as a sort of collective-unconscious eruption that was generated by their repression due to the dark ages, i.e., The Church demonizing sexualism, pride, passions, and so on. The more you suppress a passion, the greater it becomes. Extreme repression of pride, sexualism, and materialism, eventually, leads to their exaggerations when they manifest.
For basically 2,000 years, people would be burned at the stake for indulging in things of this nature. Modernity is, finally, allowed to breathe after years and years of suffocation. It is breathing heavily, no doubt.
There is certainly some validity to that interpretation. The self-hating teaching of the clergy lead people to deny their bodies and themselves entirely. The concept of punishment, in this life or the next, for failing to live by the slavish and self-contradictory code of the biblical 'teachings' prevented humans from indulging in things which were, not just natural, but actually, healthy.
The difference here is that in modern times the contraceptive solutions for the evolved consequences of sex turn everything into a game, a childish passtime. In a sense things have reversed entirely and people now seem to indulge shamelessly in any activity or belief which results in a pleasing sensation. This is a different but no less life-denouncing morality in my opinion. In times past a man who had sex with many women would have had to be either a rapist, a warrior or a wealthy provider because sex had consequences. Nowadays you can be an emasculated idiot high off coke and bed hundreds of women without it ever resulting in children. These people believe that their sterile childishness is representative of a healthy or even masculine sex-life. These sorts of humans, manimals, if you will, are actually more docile and easily channelled than people of the past, even those infected with Judeo-Xtian nihilism. When these modern types experience the release that sex, drugs or modern sociality produces they have no need or desire to question their reality (or even the evolved functions of their own sensuality), they just march on to the next meaningless, hedonistic opportunity. This is why modern population control involves violence on almost a purely psychological level, never needing to quell any serious dissent with actual force.
I see this phenomenon as being very similar conceptually to many modern atheists and 'intellectuals'. In their rejection of God they contrive to rob everything of spirit and sacredness preferring to see their modernity, comprising of numbers and statistics and data, as less primitive that the past. In some respects this is reasonable. However, when they can be easily seduced into believing contemporary myths because they are 'supported by numbers/facts' (which can often be manipulated/produced easily when you ask the right questions) or believe that the numbers themselves contain all of the answers which man should robotically follow like a good little worker-bee/drone, they approach a similar nihilism: a similar herd psychology. In this way they end up in a more regressive more childlike and more primitive state than ever before.
It also is a direct result of the chemical and social feminization which is occurring. Hyper-materialism is feminine, females representing the void/emptiness needing input from the other/another to complete her etc.

This is an interesting point.
Animals very rarely commit suicide. There have been some documented cases but they tend to have simple explanations such as the death of a close mate or mindlessly following the herd over the cliff.
Why humans (whites) commit suicide is many times a complex question involving identity, responsibility and existential suffering, which is the inevitable result of evolutionary psychological sophistication. It's the more complete awareness of one self as an autonomously functioning being in an indifferent universe that immediately puts one into a freer, but more vulnerable position.
To put it simply, blacks kill themselves less because there is less of a self to kill.

Animals do not commit suicide because their entire mind is dedicated to remaining alive. Life is not guaranteed, it is not a "right".
An animal has no or a very undeveloped sense of self. It cannot perceive itself perceiving, or acting, and so it never questions its own spontaneous actions. It's consciousness is entirely taken by otherness, and otherness is always the unknown.
